Looking for hotel luxury without the cost? Look no further! Welcome to the Capistrano Beach Cottage! We are an ultra modern, stylish and chic beach cottage located in the beautiful city of Dana Point, California.

**Before reading further, please note we have a VERY strict no pet policy. Please do not inquire if you are bringing an animal. No exceptions will be made. We appreciate your understanding.**

Inspired by the chic, cosmopolitan boutique-style hotels in New York and LA, the Capistrano Beach Cottage has been designed with hotel-like appeal while providing a relaxed beach-life atmosphere. Just a short walk to the sandy beach, this 2 bed/1 bath half duplex features central heat and air conditioning, and a private, tropical zen-inspired patio. Get away from the every day and escape to beach luxury right here!

The beach cottage has been designed to provide you with similar luxuries to a resort-style hotel. The bathroom comes stocked with a pair of robes and slippers, hotel-sized toiletries to get you by your first day, a hair dryer, and plenty of toilet paper. Bath and beach towels are provided for your stay. Each bedroom comes with a plush pillow-top mattress, crisp white linens, and plenty of comfortable pillows and blankets. Need to do laundry? We got you covered with a full size washer/dryer along with laundry detergent and dryer sheets fully stocked for your use.

Central air! The majority of the homes in this area do not have air conditioning. We got you covered with central heat and air conditioning. No matter what the temperature is outside, we will make sure you are more than comfortable inside! (Note, AC cannot be turned lower than 73 degrees fahrenheit. If you prefer a cooler setting, no problem. Be sure to ask us and we can make arrangements at a small fee).

Gourmet cooking made possible in our fully stocked gourmet kitchen! We have everything you can possibly think of for cooking up a storm--an assortment of cookware and kitchen staples such as spices, condiments, oils, sugar, butter, flour, coffee, tea, and more.

Entertainment made possible in our open concept living room! The beach cottage has been designed for your ultimate entertainment experience with an open concept living room/kitchen. The living room boasts a comfortable queen size pull-out sofa, a flat screen TV with over 150 channels, a Blue-Ray DVD player, and a Bluetooth speaker system.

The private, enclosed and zen-inspired patio is your own private tropical oasis! Furnished with comfortable and stylish patio sofas, a cozy hammock under a palm thatched hut, BBQ, water fountain, and a lush tropical garden, you might not want to leave the house.

Looking to take a bike ride down to the beach? We've thought of it all. The beach cottage comes with four top of the line beach cruisers! There is also an assortment of beach equipment available for your use; everything from surf boards, body boards, beach chairs/umbrellas, and coolers.

Location, Location, Location! The beach is a short 0.5 mile walk. Capistrano Beach borders Dana Point's beach, and the famous surf town of San Clemente. Grab one of the beach cruisers and take a short ride down to Dana Point Harbor or San Clemente Pier.

Great time in Capo Beach cottage

I was so pleased to find that this cute beach cottage was as cute in real life as in the photos. It was very clean and smelled clean too. The kitchen is very well-stocked and I has most meals at home avoiding COVID exposure. Friends came for lunch one day and we had a very pleasant afternoon in the backyard on the comfortable, colourful patio furniture. The owner was very responsive when I reported a problem with the TV remote and had a replacement for me the next day. Wifi coverage in the residence is very good but telephone reception in the neighbourhood is not so good. However, while I was there AT&T was in the area installing fibre optic to all homes. All in all a wonderful stay and a place I would definitely return to. Thankyou, Miriam, CJ and Jordan.

Everything we needed for an enjoyable getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: From the cute comfortable neighborhood to the inviting patio base, this was everything we needed for myself and two kids. My husband wasn’t able to make the trip, so it was a little concerned about traveling without him. There was no need to be concerned. This sweet residence had everything we needed, and, great accessible location. The best part was the staff. Communicated very well and even gave some personal recommendations. Very helpful and responsive.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The host came on the property 4 separate times during our 4 night stay. Of those 4 times, they only notified us once they would be there. In addition, the host decided to renovate the backyard with a full landscape crew during our stay. We were woken up at 7 am on our final day by the landscape crew right outside the patio door of our bedroom. A blatant violation of our privacy. To add injury to insult, the host also was asking us to checkout while the landscape crew blocked our car in the driveway. Stay away.

Adorable, comfortable beach cottage

My kids and I had to best stay at this clean, well located, beach home with darling decor. We felt right at home. The kids rode scooters te scenic 1/2 mile to the beach. Very clean, plenty of room and patio to relax. Loved it!

Stay in Capistrano Beach Cottage 2

Great reservation process with excellent summary of critical info. Place was spotless and warm. My only issue was the narrow bathroom doorway. In my power wheelchair I could not get into the bathroom. I informed the property manager (Jason) who instantly took care of us by getting us moved to the larger unit, which we will review separately. I suggested to Jason that the property listing be changed to say “manual wheelchair accessible” instead of “wheelchair accessible”; or just disclose the internal door widths so wheelchair users can plan ahead. All in all, this is a terrific property.

We are your hosts, Miriam & Bryan. Our most enjoyable trips have been in vacation homes. We like the ability to cook our own meals, plus it makes traveling more affordable so we can spend money sight seeing and doing other stuff we enjoy. However the one thing we found lacking in many vacation homes was the sense of style and luxury we enjoyed at the nicer hotels and resorts. For this reason we wanted to offer something that combined the best of both worlds. We started the first Capistrano Beach Cottage in 2015. After realizing how much we enjoyed creating memorable vacation experiences for travelers we decided to do it all over again with the second Capistrano Beach Cottage. We created both beach cottages with a 5-star resort in mind. We wanted the decor to be crisp and clean, the linens to be of the same caliber as a luxury hotel, and the patio to feel a zen and tropical vacation club. We truly hope our beach cottage sets the atmosphere of your own private resort. We want our guests to create lasting memories of their California vacation in our home :)
