Bright, airy and huge daylight basement apartment (1050 square feet!) - this space is part of our larger family home. Central air with radiant floor heat. Private patio with BBQ, sitting area and access to large yard. TV, streaming, blah blah go outside, thats why you’re here ;)
Space has 2 beds - one is a queen sized bed in the bedroom and the other is a full sofa pullout (super comfy) in the living room.
As a guest, you will have private access to the space and have access to everything except for a storage closet and the utility room on this floor. Guests also have access to private deck (we may be passing through side yard to pick from the garden. Please help yourself to the herbs!).
We live upstairs and should be available for the most part during your visit. We like our privacy and will respect yours as well, but we love chatting if you see us around! If you would like input on local information or need directions or just a good old fashioned chat, don't hesitate to let us know.
We love that you'll be vacationing in part of our home. Please realize that we probably won't be on vacation the same time as you are (maybe next time though!) - so we need to have quiet time start at 10pm, and please no super loud happenings before 7am.
Also, smoking is bad for you. You really, just shouldn't. Your mom did not make me say this - but I bet she would agree. If you feel you must - we apologize but no smoking on the property.
We do sometimes allow well behaved dogs, but please inquire before booking, and tell us a bit more about your furry friends. Any damages caused by pets will be the full responsibility of the pet owner. We also have two dogs and a cat… They are curious, too curious…dont let them inside please :) although feel free to say hi to Duck the cat, if you can!
We live in a super quiet neighborhood within a mile of downtown White Salmon that allows you to refresh and recharge yourself after a busy day on the water or on the trails. We face south-west and therefore have brighter days than our poor neighbors in Hood River. (We know they are jealous.)
Just feet from the property is our local Loop Trail that is great for a bike ride and for running. We have blackberry patches in the neighborhood that are super handy (and yummy) in the summer time.
Just down the road (walking distance if you like a good stretch of the legs) we have Henni's, Pixan, Everybody's Brewing, FEAST deli, Pizza Leona, and Gander and Goose. There are several places to get coffee, give yourself ample time to wait in line in the morning, it’s popular for a reason! Lots of places to try local wines and beer, our favorite tasting room and the closest is CLYZM in the new Hotel Iconica. We have a market - Harvest Market (decent size and good variety that you'd find in all of your larger city chain markets, but wine and liquor is cheaper to buy across the river if you find yourself on that side). We provide coffee beans and tea selections for your stay.
