Comfortable and clean with spectacular view of the James River, this is a delightful place to stay when you are touring the Va. wine country. The hosts were extremely responsive and helpful.
Me and my boyfriend stayed for New Years and we’re blown away by the house itself, the beautiful view, the kindness of the hosts (who we never saw except showing us around at check in). We saw the most clear stars either of us have ever seen in our life. Great house for a getaway with a parter or a group. Highly recommend visiting winery’s as well!
Nestled back from the road and overlooking the river is this beautiful house. It looks exactly like the pictures. While our stay was short, it was relaxing and peaceful and perfect for what we needed. Communication was great, and questions were easily answered. A kitchen with anything you could possibly want, including a dishwasher, made for easy meal prep. The sunsets were amazing;). Thoroughly recommended!
This was the most relaxing peaceful vacation my family has ever experienced. It was a family 4 night getaway. Everyone including my 94 yr young mother had a wonderful time! The location in the mountains was majestic. The house was very nicely decorated and fully stocked with everything you would ever need. The master bedroom mattress was the most comfortable mattress we've ever slept on. In fact we plan to purchase that mattress! I loved sitting out on the patio and simply enjoying the view. We will be back.

Beautiful
Teresa's mom Betty was there when we got there and was so sweet. She gave us lots of information about the area and things to do. This is the top floor of a house and they do live on the first floor, however, you wouldn't even know they were there! It has its own entrance and the place and view are absolutely beautiful. The kitchen is packed full of cooking supplies, pots and pans which is great. It was so nice I wish we could have stayed longer than 2 nights. I will definitely be keeping them in mind next time I want to come to the area!

Amazing!
Went for a couple days of tubing on the James. Perfect location within a 2-3 minute drive from downtown Scottsville. Property was amazing and had everything you need. The views were an added on bonus. Cool and eclectic and cozy. Will definitely recommend. Even though owners lived on the property you would never know they were there, but A simple phone call away for anything you needed.
The property has a beautiful view and faces west, so great to sit on the deck and watch the sunset. Teresa was welcoming and has everything there that you would need. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay. A great get away. Recommend.
When I saw this property on verbal IWhen I saw this property on VRBO I was immediately attracted to it. It was a collectic, with mediterranean colors that I absolutely love.. But once I arrived, I could not get over the warmth that I felt the intrigue the beauty
Lovely, peaceful setting overlooking the mountains and the James River! Great sunsets and decks to sit and enjoy! Kitchen is well stocked and restaurants nearby. Less than half an hour ride to Charlottesville.
The apartment was clean and spacious with all of the amenities. The kitchen was stocked with almost anything you could need. The views of the river were beautiful and we got to see the batteaus float by for the festival. The owners responded quickly to text and met us at the property when we arrived.
Snowdonia is the perfect place to stay in the Charlottesville area. The home is beautiful with all the amenities, to include a full kitchen, exquisite art, a jacuzzi, balconies overlooking the James river and more! We almost did not choose this place because the owner live downstairs, but in our 3 days we never heard from her or saw her unless we had a question, and then she was very communicative and accommodating! We're already planning to stay here again next year.
You won’t be disappointed with this place. From the views from the my balconies overlooking the James River, to the interior, to the friendly get we affectionately started calling George, this place is amazing. It’s close to a crockery store, a few cute restaurants, Monticello, and Montpellier. Don’t pass this property up.
This home is wonderfully situated - views of mountains & rivers everywhere. Close to good restaurants (if you don't want to cook) and grocery store if you do, you have lots of choices (fully equipped kitchen!). This home is comfortable and beautiful, but not "fussy" -- the owners clearly have taken care and delight in furnishing it. THey also are very attentive to guests needs, and responded quickly to the one question we had. This is definitely a place you could come to and be content to "just be" for several days, or use as home base to explore all that this part of Virginia has to offer.
The place is situated on the steep Bank above the James River with beautiful views and an elegant gazebo overlooking the ravine. It's a hand built artisan dwelling full of artifacts and well equipped for our stay. The only issue we had was finding the place in the rain.
