We enjoyed our stay so much. The view is incredible and tie that in with the sound of a babbling brook and waterfalls it was heavenly!!! The cabin was very well stocked with all the necessities and was very clean. We will definitely be coming back for another visit.
We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the clouds over the mountains. No true sunset, but the view was pretty. Overall, it is a relaxing and quiet place for a couple.
If you are looking for the most amazing view along with a very private location, then get ready and buckle your seat belts, because your expectations are about to be greatly surpassed!!
This cabin was amazing! The views were breathtaking! We had such a wonderful time in this cabin. The view and sound of the waterfall/stream made it hard to leave. You have everything you need to relax and reset. Short drives to Bryson City and Waynesville. We will be back!
We enjoyed our stay, clean and well stocked property with a lovely view. The signage could have been a little more visible to help us find the cabin the first time. Lovely Christmas lights added a nice touch.
This is a great place to get away to. It is private and quiet. You are surrounded by wild live and a beautiful view. And the drive up was just that, up! Its a great central location to towns and attractions. I would recommend a weekend get away from the kids and life be taken here any time.
Adorable cabin with a great view, close to other hot spots such as Cherokee and Asheville. Short walk to the small stream that flows down the mountain, which was a peaceful place to sit. We observed a few crawdads and salamanders and just enjoyed the ambiance. Would love to visit again when all the tree leaves change colors. 10/10 would recommend anyone take a trip there.
I’ve stayed at this cabin five different times. It is on the side of a mountain with a beautiful view with the sound of a waterfall that can be heard on the porch. If you lead a busy life this is the place to escape it.
We enjoyed our stay so much! The cabin was well stocked, cozy and extremely comfortable. While we were there, the temperature was the hottest so far of the summer but the cool mountain breeze kept us very comfortable with the windows open and the fans on. We had fun playing at the waterfall and watching the lightning bugs come out at night. The owner was very responsive and easy to reach. We hope to return soon. I cannot say enough positive things about our stay.
It’s a mountain cabin whit a view
Mornings looking out and down on clouds in the valley sitting a rocking chair with a cup of hot coffee
Close to Sylva and Waynesville, but not too close
Blue ridge Parkway 2 miles away when you get down from the mountain
Lovely Cabin With Mountain Views Close to Blue Ridge Parkway
My family had a wonderful week long vacation here. The property owners were quick to respond when I messaged them. I felt that there was a lot of love and care poured into this cabin, inside and out. I especially loved the irises that bloomed during our stay near the walkway out front. The cabin was very clean and felt like home. The view from the porch is breathtaking. I plan on returning here often.
The views are so beautiful!! The pictures online do not do them justice! Cabin was very clean and had everything you would need for a stay. We had no difficulties getting to the cabin (and we arrived at night!). It’s so close to the Blue Ridge and Cherokee, so there’s plenty to do! There is not an air conditioner, but it stayed pretty cool at night and we were away during the day. I would definitely recommend this cabin!!
My wife and I wanted to head to the mountains for our anniversary, but not be in trapped in the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg. This was close enough to hiking trails, Asheville and Bryson City that we had plenty to do without overwhelming our schedule. Now the cabin itself. Just enough for us plus a little room to stretch and the view was stunning. This is a gem and one I will keep on my places to return.
Absolutely loved the house, location, everything.
Coming from HOT East Texas, I was worried about the house having no AC. But the house stayed cool…ceiling fans were used when needed and windows opened to enjoy that mountain breeze.
We all enjoyed the quiet evenings listening to the waterfall and watching fireflies.
We had the most amazing time. We hung out in the grass and watched the beautiful view. It was fully stocked with anything we needed. The sound of the waterfall was fantastic. It was exactly what we needed to reset and take some time to relax. It was a short distance to Waynesville and Sylva. We also went into Maggie valley for a short day trip. This place is in the perfect location.
This is a beautiful spot. The view is perfect....you feel wonderfully isolated but its not far from the highway and town. The porch is large and welcoming....we enjoyed reading out there and enjoying the sunset every evening. In the morning you are above the clouds and watch it roll back to reveal the valley and mountains. The cabin itself was clean and nicely stocked. The new oscillating fans in the bedrooms were nice because it was quite warm outside during our stay and even with the windows open we needed a little extra breeze so that was great. My one suggestion is hangars for the closets. Overall a fabulous stay for my husband and me. We hope to bring the whole family next time.
Spent an enjoyable week at Balsam Mountain Cabin. Awesome view along with the sweet sound of cascading water. Location convenient to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Sylva, & Waynesville/Asheville. Great communication with the owner & property manager. Will come back when get a chance!
