Host was very communicative. Our family of 12 stayed and it was very comfortable. House is stocked well with pots, pans and towels which made cooking nice. Dock was great for swimming and just hanging out. Parking was good and home is close to Woods grocery for convenience.

Things to consider

Accuracy of the bedrooms and interior is accurate. Will accommodate 10 + people comfortably. However the outside & dock need some serious work. Very outdated and little to no upkeep. Not a great cove either. High boat traffic and it is not a "no wake" cove. Dock for us was almost unusable.

Ozarks vacay

The house fit all 12 of us perfectly. The location was great. We rented a boat from Bombay Rentals and it was easy to dock at the location. There were a few things that needed some upgrading or in need or repair and the owner was very easy to get a hold of. The kitchen was great and accommodated us all. The temperature of the house was good and ceiling fans helped. The owners had everything labeled in the house which was super helpful. I would suggest new cushions on furniture on the dock to fit the chairs properly but all the rest of the outside furniture was great and fit us all. Overall a great stay and we would definitely go back to the same house and same location.

This house has a beautiful waterfront with fabulous views! 5 bedrooms and 5 baths and a great kitchen and living area. The house isn’t perfect but the owner was extremely helpful and great to work with. The deck and the dock were great hangout spaces for us in the high 90’s heat! Our family thoroughly enjoyed vacationing here.

The Big Easy is a Big Waste of Money

The advertisement stated there was a "chic gas fireplace" that would keep us "toasty warm even on the chilliest of days." When I couldn't get the fireplace to work, I called the owner, who simply stated it had been disconnected. No fireplace. There was a sewage smell that would not go away. We called a few hours after we arrived and the homeowner stated it would dissipate. Her response about the rental having a septic system seemed to acknowledge that she was aware that a smell occurs. Indeed, a lower level window near the bathroom where the smell seemed to originate had been left open, presumably to air it out. It never dissipated. It was so bad that we had to close off the main bedroom, unable to use it. We contemplated leaving early because it was so disgusting. The advertised pool table where we could "hone our pool shot" was placed too close to the walls, rendering the pool table inoperable. Any Seinfeld fans who might be familiar with the episode where George's dad got a pool table....it was just like that. More of a prop for the photos in the advertisement--not a usable table. The evening of arrival, we wanted to use the hot tub, but the temperature was set at 84 degrees. It took almost 24 hours for the hot tub to warm up to an acceptable level. We used it on Thur, and then Fri morning. When we went to use it Fri evening, an error message appeared, not allowing us to use it for the remainder of our stay. When I called the homeowner after our stay, she seemed sympathetic. After a few days, she sent me an email stating that "although Evolve admits their error on the fireplace content [in the ad], they are unwilling to do anything about it," with no acknowledgment about the other deficiencies in the property. She offered a $400 credit, stating that it's a 25% credit. In fact, we paid $2694.50; her $400 credit equals almost 15%. I replied to her email, requesting a 50% refund and rejecting the $400. Her response to my request was, I'm ignoring your email. Thanks for writing." I filed a BBB complaint, but beyond the $400, I received nothing more. What a waste of money.

Amazing House

Really enjoyed the Big Easy! Lots of bathrooms and individual bedrooms so everyone had a place to sleep. Great gathering area at the high top table and massive deck. The ice machine went out the day we arrived but Betsy was on top of it and packed the freezer with ice for us! Would definitely come back next time we are in the area.

Big Easy

Good location. Main floor updated and spacious. One upstairs bedroom had mold on ceiling ( from roof leak more than likely ). Dock is decent, but if can't use slip with lift you have to tie up boat on outside of dock and gets rough during day with traffic and with no tie anchors on dock is hard to tie up boat tight.

Good family getaway!

The House was good, but definitely could use some improvements. Rained very hard and water was coming up from floor, called owner and maintenance and both said to just mop up water with towels, had 3 full buckets of water. Not exactly what my husband wanted to do on vacation. We had small children in our party and the deck had some unsafe areas on it. The house is close to one of the main bars/restaurants on the lake so there is a lot of boat traffic. Would probably look for another house next time.

Great Birthday Getaway

The property was beautiful! It was very easy to treat as my own home. In my group I had 8 people. Very roomy. Everything you need is there! I found that I brought way too much stuff from home. We gathered together a lot outside too. Nice seating and actually not a lot of bugs. Nice hot tub and listening to the waterfall.....very relaxing. The kitchen was huge, great countertop space. 2 refrigerators and 2 ovens. We went on a float trip while at the home. There are beach towels provided at the home. My friends had a great time playing ping pong. The communication with the owners and property management WONDERFUL. It was such a pleasure staying at this home. I will be coming back. Great living area

The house was perfect for our family of 8 adults and 6 small children. The main living area was very spacious and the kitchen had everything we needed with two refrigerators, nice work area for cooking and a separate wet bar area. The owner could not have been more accommodating and communicative throughout this process. The only negative thing I think should be mentioned in the literature is that the cove in which it is located is busy and the water is not the best for swimming. However, we had a ball watching the kids go down the slide and we swam off of that small swim deck, even though it was rocky water. The dock is in poor shape and it was unsafe for swimming because of a faulty and/or no ladder(s). We rented a boat from the company that the owner suggested and they were fantastic to work with also. We didn't use the game room or the hot tub.

We had a a big group of 16 of us. Adults and kids. The house was very spacious clean. The host was AMAZING. Quick to answer my questions and very understandable with our large group. We spent a lot of time on the dock. Beautiful views from both master bedrooms. We are already talking about another trip.

Great Lake Views. Excellent Location

This house was fantastic for a long weekend with lifetime friends. Plenty of space for us to all be together cooking, watching TV or relaxing on the lake. Lots of places to chill out - on the deck, the boat dock, the martini deck or the fire pit area. There are lots of upgrades to this house that made it a standout like a hot tub, game room, granite countertops, strong wi-fi and both a gas and charcoal grill. The best part of the house were the views overlooking the lake. We had a great time and I highly recommend this rental. We will definitely return.
