About this property

My apartment is a spacious and cozy place 63 square meters, perfectly located in the heart of the historic center of Athens, in the neighborhood of Thiseio, few meters away from Apostolou Pavlou pedestrian street. Acropolis Hill and Ancient Agora is only 10 minutes walking.
The location couldn’t be better.
The metro station is only 3 minutes away thats why it is an ideal getaway destination for someone who wants to explore the city of Athens.
The view from the shared rooftop (two floors up by narrow, typical, back stairs) is spectacular. Guests can enjoy the privacy of the whole apartment which I always make sure to be clean and neat.
Whenever is in our hand, we will be glad to offer an early check-in or late check-out.

Highly recommend this gem

Everything was perfect, the place itself has everything you need for an enjoyable stay, including a rooftop terrace with a magnificent view and the location is great for exploring Athens on foot. We loved the local restaurants, the bakery & supermarkets, all a few steps away. The host was lovely. Highly recommended 👌

So close to major attractions and very homey - just a pleasure to stay

Host arranged for a taxi to meets us at the airport and she was there at the property to greet us. Plus she when through the property to make it easy for us. She was very informative about the sight seeing attractions and local restaurants.

Lovely Thissio

Spotless property. Every utensil you need is there. Even on cold nights the place is warm. Nice balcony view. Friendly people. Great bars and restaurants. The food portions are large. Great greek dishes. Greek wine tasty. . Near the Acropolis and other sites. The apartment is in walking distance to everything you wish to see. Local bakeries are great. IRENE the host makes you feel welcome.

Hinsichtlich des Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnisses der Unterkunft klare Empfehlung!Sehr saubere Unterkunft, nette Vermieterin die sich wunderbar kümmert, sofern Hilfe benötigt wird.Vieles ist in der Wohnung vorhanden, was nicht mehr mitgebracht oder besorgt werden muss, angefangen bei Handtüchern und Bettwäsche, bis hin zu WC-Papier und Müllbeuteln.Die Lage ist sehr zentral, ruhige und gepflegte Umgebung, gleich gegenüber ("Underdog", super Essen und tolle Sitzgelegenheiten) und nahebei viel Gastronomie und Fußgängerzone.Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sehr gut ohne öffentlichen Nahverkehr fußläufig erreichbar.Die Dachterrasse im 4. OG ist von der Wohnung im 1. OG über im Innenhof liegende Treppen erreichbar und für alle Bewohner zugänglich. Tolle Sicht auf die Highlights der Stadt, schöner Platz, um Sonnenuntergang oder die Nacht mit einem Kaltgetränk zu genießen. Deshalb: Empfehlenswert, würden sofort nochmals dort einchecken!

Perfect spot in Athens!

Irene was the absolute best host! She went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The apartment was immaculately clean and had all the comforts of home. My daughter and I loved this apartment, and its location was a perfect mix of tourist and local. Irene also hooked us up with the best taxi driver. Defiantly recomend!

The apartment it's located in a great area. Lots to walk to and lots to see. There's no lack of shops, merchants or restaurants. Irene, the host, was very helpful and gave us a number of recommendations and all of which were excellent. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Ideal for a week visit to Athens

You know you have booked a great location when you give the address of the apartment to the taxi driver at the cruise port and he says “oh, that is a perfect location to be staying in Athens!” We couldn’t have been more happy with the apartment overall!! Ideal location- beautiful rooftop view of the Acropolis and within walking distance to all the major sights you came to see. Restaurants galore nearby, a metro station just down the hill, access to the main pedestrians lanes around ancient Athens within 1/2 block. Irene was the perfect host. The apartment access instructions were perfect and easy to follow. Irene was available via text and was awesome at making recommendations for beaches, restaurants and tips for the best times to go certain places. The apartment was sparkling clean and so spacious and had everything we needed for a weeks stay. Access to the rooftop patio was an added bonus. Super quiet area- we slept so well. Only one flight of stairs up to access the unit. Nice to have the added convenience of insuite laundry. And Irene was so kind to leave water, coffee and cookies and items for an easy breakfast on our first day. We could not recommend a better place for you to stay in Athens.

Perfect spot

We could not have picked a better location. Thissio is indeed THE best place to locate for exploring the best sights of Athens as well as the local culture.The property was spotless and could not have been any better equipped. The Host, Irene, was wonderful and very helpful from the moment we booked.The only fault we could find is that we were 2 couples and the 2nd bedroom really only had a single bed and a cot. We recommend it highly...for a family with 2 children.

Perfect location in Athens

We had a wonderful timeout in Athens for 4 days in Irene‘s appartment: many places of interest are easily accessible, even by foot. It was a joy to have parks, bustling markets, yummy restaurants, shops, museums and relaxed cafes in walking distance. Athens is certainly more than the Acropolis! Irene‘s welcome was warm, her advice worthwhile and her aircon generously used as a heater because of the unusual cold.Thx a lot for your hospitality, Irene, hope to see you again!

Perfect location

We stayed here for 2 weeks. It's a great location within walking distance of all the major sites in Athens. The neighborhood is quiet and less touristy than the Plakka area. Plenty of good restaurants and coffee shops Irene was a lovely host

Amazing stay in Athens!

This is a 10/10! Exactly how it is described by owner. Irene was extremely nice and helpful. Irene suggested places to eat and those were also 10/10! The Perfect Place

This apartment was spacious with 2 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, 1bath, a rooftop patio and 2 balconies. It was exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated. It’s location is close to coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants, 2 pharmacies and a mini-market. Irene, host, greeted us with key, helped carry bags and gave lots of useful information and directed us to good restaurants. She was always available by phone. Sunset on Acropolis from the rooftop was spectacular. 2 drawbacks: stairs, no elevator, to first floor apartment and street noise was disturbing for sleeping in front bedroom. Thank you, Irene and VRBO. Wonderful stay!

Fantastic location, view, and host!

This lovely apartment is in the heart of the area around the Acropolis, short walk to the site, Metro, and Plaka areas. Very clean, well-appointed and the host is phenomenal. She helped us find a trusted taxi for a very early morning flight, he was reliable and gave us great tips on things to see, do and taste. This is a true gem!

Heaven's door in Athens

Our stay in Irini's little piece of heaven was absolutely delightful! She is a total sweetheart and is an outstanding host and made us feel as if we were family! She gave great recommendations for places to eat, shop and travel. The apartment was spacious with all amenities needed including great internet and was located in a perfect location for us to visit Athen's outstanding sights and for travel access to other locations. You can view the Acropolis from her rooftop terrace and enjoy a cocktail there on her table & chairs. We enjoyed breakfast on the balcony and watched others enjoying the gorgeous neighborhood and all it has to offer. She also has a washing machine and clothesline out rear patio door to dry clothes. You can enjoy excellent restaurants & do grocery shopping all within a one block distance and with an additional block enjoy an outstanding bakery! We wish we could give her & her apartment 10 stars as she and the apartment earned them during our 4 week stay. In closing, if we return to Athens, we will absolutely stay here again!

My name is Irene and i am a photographer. My spare time I really like to read a good book and in summer i love to make long walks. A walk on Philopappou Hill is my favorite route. My favorite time of the day ... is late in the evening. When everyone in the house has been asleep and the city has plummeted. It's time to enjoy my drink on the terrace and plan the next day or not !
My decision to host people from other countries in my home came effortlessly. It seemed very interesting to me to meet people with other cultures, other interests than usual.
