540sqm Luxury design house by the lake with pools

Welcome to Fordnudden Mansion, a unique design house from 1965. It’s not a house, it is a private resort with everything you can dream of for a vacation. Perfect for family and friends’ gatherings where everyone can enjoy all the house has to offer, winter and summer. Perfect for kids and adults, with in & outdoor pools, private bar, pool & ping pong table and more. With eight hotel style bedrooms you can be up to 18 guests. Fornudden Mansion is located just 20 minutes from Stockholm city.

Contact us for shorter stays than available for bookings, events, photoshoots etc for a specific offer.

The house is 540 kvm with 12 rooms and 6 bathrooms, 8 bedrooms, indoor & outdoor pool, sauna, bar, lounge, and movie theater with 180inch screen.

The kitchen is a totally new Poggenpohl kitchen equipped with Gaggenau appliances where you have a great lake view while you are cooking.

The house has design furnitures typical for the 1960´s, like Arne Jacobssen, Eero Aarnio, Paul Henningsson etc from Fritz Hansen and other famous design furnitures. There are 11 music zones with integrated speakers in the ceiling in the whole house, controlled by Sonos.

The living room is 100sqm with a 180inch screen coming down from the ceiling connected to Playstation 4, TV, Apple TV with 5.1 sound.

The Indoor pool/bar area has a small kitchen, fully equipped designed bar that looks that is taken directly from an old James Bond movie. The Master bedroom has air condition and a private master bathroom.

The garden has a fully equipped Outside kitchen with a bar and infrared warmers for cold evenings are available in the garden. A large BBQ grill, gas stove, sink and even a refrigerator to keep the beer cool. The outside Terrace is 300sqm with an integrated spa and swimming pool with large stairs at one of the end for easy access and small kids. A pergola with infrared warmers and table & chairs for 20 people dining watching the sunset in the lake. The backyard also contains 400Sqm of grass. There are eight bedrooms in the house. There are also 2 cayak’s and a canoe for you to use. A row boat that you can use for trips on the lake. Also we have fishing gear and license if you would like to catch some fish.

Family reunion with Swedish relatives

There was fourteen of us, siblings, wives, and cousins who stayed at this wonderful location. There was plenty of room for everybody. The kitchen had everything anyone could possibly need and many meals were prepared there. In addition, there are two dining areas with plenty of room both inside and outside. Two pools, a game room, a bar downstairs and a great location...how can you go wrong? I surely want to mention that Johan immediately responded to every question and concern we had. Two thumbs up for sure!

Absolutely Stunning

We were a family group of 10 and had plenty to do and plenty of space on the property. The game room, 2 pools, and, of course, the lake kept everyone busy. Numerous restaurants and grocery stores are nearby. The host, Johan, is amazing and very helpful. All in all, a 10 out of 10 property!

While this property has a stunning location with beautiful outdoor areas, it falls short of luxury rental standards. Major issues included: inadequate WiFi (only works in living room), safety hazards (protruding nails which we had to cover over ourselves, dangerously low pool chlorine/pH levels which we had to spend over 800 SEK to test and rectify ourselves as the owner insisted it was fine despite us raising concerns), and poor bedroom standards (insufficient pillows, small duvets, non-blackout curtains).The main fridge stopped working entirely during our stay, forcing us to move all our food/beverages to other fridges throughout the house. Other problems: broken ventilation system for most of our 8-night stay, appliances dirty/poorly maintained, previous guest or owners' items left in tumble dryer, dust and dead insects on furniture, and disorganized laundry and storage areas.We chose this property for a milestone family celebration and expected a luxury experience given the premium price. Unfortunately, the property appears managed with minimal investment. While we loved the stunning location, I cannot recommend this property until fundamental maintenance and cleanliness standards are addressed.

Wow what a stay we had, the pictures do not do the outside area justice! Johan was so helpful before the stay, answering multiple questions promptly. The sound system is awesome and easy to use. The big screen TV and cinema sound was such a treat, as was the very comfy couch! The view is to die for and we all spent many moments just staring out. The area the property is in is lovely, walks in every direction. I honestly cannot recommend this place enough. We came for a gig at tele 2 arena which was a very short 15 minute cab journey away. The only point worth mentioning that we did not know is this is their house, arrived thinking it would be empty but they do have their clothing, shoes, food etc in the house. Absolutely not a problem but worth knowing before you go. In summary, do not hesitate in booking this place, it will be all that you expect and more. I would give more stars if I could and hope to return one day in warmer months to completely enjoy the outside terrace and kitchen

Det var enbart positivt - från början när vi bokade via Vrbo och fick kontakt med ägaren som fanns nåbar hela tiden via meddelande. Huset var enastående på alla sätt och uppfyllde alla förväntningar till fullo. Vi vuxna och barn har verkligen njutit av och tagit tillvara på allt huset o dess interiör/exteriör har att erbjuda vilket är mycket!! Högsta möjliga betyg från hela familjen!

Coronaproof semester med familjen.

Stora ytor med stort vy. Vi bestämde oss för det här huset för att vi i corona tider inte ville ta oss till allmänt simhall eller spa. Tyvärr så var utomhuspoolen inte påfylld (kanske bättre att skriva något om det i annonsen) och inomhuspoolen inte simfärdigt (blev snabbchlorerad men inte rent för att det var något fel med pumpen. Fastighetsägaren kom, men kunde inte fixa, det gjorde min man). Vi kunde använda poolen på måndag. Lite tråkigt men ändå bra känslor om vistelsen.

Very nice house for a big group of people. Great pools and spa and sauna. Fantastic location with a great view of the lake. Short distance to Stockholm (approx. 40 EUR with an Uber). Very nice kitchen for home-cooking and a gigantic TV screen for home cinema-party :-) Good service from Johan.

Amazing house on a lake!

This house has everything you want for a vacation house. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for large groups, huge well stocked kitchen for cooking meals, gorgeous views of the lake, indoor pool and sauna for cold months! There is also an outdoor pool and spa which would have amazing views in the warmer months ;) The house is in a very quiet location but with quick and easy access to Stockholm. I enjoyed many sunsets from the kitchen table and would love to stay here again in the warmer months!

Im an entrepreneur who grew up in the area. When I got my own kids I just felt that I had to move back with the family to the same neighborhood which will get them great surroundings to grow up within. My parents still live in a house nearby and are very supportive.

Why they chose this property

We just fell in love in the house the first time we saw it. It is so unique and you can almost not find a house like this in Sweden. What houses is built with these quality materials as marble and teak? Indoor pool, sauna and you get your own James Bond bar! And the Seaview is astonishing, it is amazing to see the sunset. We just had to buy it, and of course the kids also wanted the pool:-) We of course had to to lots of renovation, but it is now perfect!

What makes this property unique

We relocated the kitchen and its brand new built with German top quality brand Poggenpohl with appliances from Gaggenau. You get an amazing see view when cooking as well as you have contact with your guests and the rest of the family. The newly made outdoor kitchen with its own bar is also a fantastic place to cook during nice summer days.
