About this property

Mountain views from brand new property in quiet neighborhood!!!

Our home is a brand new construction built in 2018 in a quiet neighborhood on the outskirts of town. Although, we are not located in town, we are just minutes away by car or bike! Access to beautiful trails, for hiking and cross country skiing, that lead to Shoup Bay and Mineral Creek. Our home is about a mile from the shoreline but nestled closely to the mountainside.

The three bedrooms and two and half bathrooms are fully stocked with linens, bedding, toiletries and laundry care. In addition to three queen sized beds, we have two pull out couches for extra sleeping accommodations in the living room and den. We also have cots for extra sleeping arrangements if necessary. In the garage we have a weight machine if you do not want to miss a workout away from home, plus a basketball game for the kids to enjoy! All brand new furniture for our new home, as well as playpen and high chair for the littles tagging along!

Owner lives in the neighborhood and will be available if needed, however, will let you have a comfortable stay in privacy.

This home is great for families, business travelers, groups, and even couples.

Valdez is known for its outside beauty, but we also have many parks (one small one in the neighborhood), grocery store, museums, rock wall, pool, shops, restaurants, as well as so many tourist activities (fishing, kayaking, glacier viewing, snow machining, heli-skiing, 4 wheeler riding) for everyone!

Perfect Home Away from Home

Family from Fairbanks and Anchorage met up to stay here for three days during the Valdez Fly In. Loved having the large dining table / bar area to enjoy preparing and eating our family meals. The beds were comfortable, lots of room for everyone. Great neighborhood. Wonderful communication with the owner. We hope to stay here again!

Valdez is amazing. This home does have mountain views. From the picture shown, I thought it may be more secluded but it was in a neighborhood with homes next door and across the street. A nice neighborhood, nevertheless, but if you think you are going to be in the country, you won't be. The home was clean was what we needed..

We are a father daughter business. Our family enjoys traveling and staying in home rentals versus a hotel room. We know how much more comfortable staying in a home is so in 2017 we hatched a plan to build a beautiful home and rent it out to those who want to explore a beautiful town in Alaska. We also wanted to have something that my parents could stay when they visit my little family in Valdez. It surely felt like the most appropriate thing to do!

Marlon (my dad) is a retired chemist who enjoys living the Alaskan life. Fishing, boating, camping, and everything in between. He and my mom live in a small rural community.

I (daughter) am a small business owner taking break from teaching and administration. Along with my children and husband, I also LOVE the Alaskan adventures. I will be managing this property.

We are both lifelong Alaskans!
