Please Note: Saturday to Saturday rentals Memorial Day through Labor Day week.
Vacation at the Quiet Resort - This 6 bedroom (3 en-suites) 4 full bath and 3 half bath waterfront home is located on a canal adjacent to the Little Assawoman Bay, a short walk to the ocean beach and a 2 mile bike ride to Bethany town.
Fenwick Island State Park Beach is about 8 minutes south of the house on the east wide of route 1 - parking lot, rest rooms, showers, lifeguards, snack bar, umbrella rentals, and chair rentals.
There is also a bay beach about a 4 minute drive from the house on the west side of route 1, where children can swim, kayak, paddle board.
The house is perfect for family gatherings. It is designed with a reverse floor plan; 4 bedrooms on the 2nd floor with a bedroom on the 3rd floor along with the kitchen, dining and living areas featuring beautiful bay views. A 6th bedroom is on the 4th floor as well as a 2nd living /lounge area which is suitable for teens. .The 2 dining areas on the 3rd floor allow for seating up to 18 persons. An elevator is convenient for getting groceries to the 3rd floor kitchen. It is also a nice feature for assisting those who don't do well with steps. A second refrigerator and an ice maker are located on the ground floor. An outdoor shower can be found on the canal side of the house on the ground level to rinse off after a day at the beach.
We have house is decorated sparsely with ocean type motif for your relaxation and enjoyment.
We provide kayaks for your enjoyment while you stay with us.
Kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, crabbing, beach, surfing, fishing and beautiful sunsets over the bay are a few of the many activities to keep you occupied. Sunrise and Ocean views can be seen from the roof top deck. Sunsets may be enjoyed from 1 of 4 west facing decks. The home is located in Bay View Park adjacent to Little Assawoman Bay, a wild life preserve, where there are many wild waterfowl and is a beautiful area for biking, hiking, and kayaking.
We are located south of Lewes DE and about 12 miles south of Rehoboth Beach for where you will find outlet and boutique shopping and just north of Ocean City Maryland for those who enjoy activity and extensive boardwalks. Assateague, Chincoteague, Berlin and Salisbury, as well as Easton, MD and St. Michaels, MD are nice day trip destinations.

The house was perfect for our family of 15. The canal was a great location!Communication was also perfect.We have stayed in many VRBO homes, but this was the first time we had to make all the beds when we arrived. The host supplies the clean bedding, but we had to make the beds and there are a lot of beds. After a travel day, that was unexpected. Other than that, the house was perfect.

We stayed here in June 2010 and had the BEST time. The house is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need for a great getaway. Everyone in our party raved about the house and its location, it was perfect for all age groups -- we had toddlers, senior citizens, and active adults in between. Had a terrific time biking, kayaking and just enjoying the views.

Wonderful for our family vacation

The house was great for our large family. Everyone was able to enjoy time together but still had space to spread out. We enjoyed sunsets from the rooftop deck, kayaking with the two kayaks, bicycling with the bikes provided and the uncrowded beach at the state park. We would definitely consider staying here again. The house was clean and Cherie was easy to communicate with.

Amazing family vacation!

We loved spending our family vacation in this house. The amount of rooms, bathrooms, the large kitchen area, and the kayaks, made everything easier and more enjoyable for us. The whole was perfect! Great house

Tremendous house with plenty of room and bathrooms. The elevator was a godsend since I am 87 years old. Only problem is getting to the beach is not that easy with construction going on. We would stay here again.

Great stay on the canal Bayside!

The property is even better in person! Great access for my 92 year old mother… with an elevator for mobility! Everything needed for any family and celebration! Best view of the July 4th fireworks. The kayaks, bikes and beach things were perfect as was the canal fishing! Thanks Cherie for sharing this lovely property!

Amazing location and house. Wish we could have stayed longer.

You're definitely cannot go wrong with staying at this location. I am hesitant to say how awesome it was because I want to make sure it's available for me in the future. We had a family of eight people and felt that there was even more room for any more people. It was still privacy with as many people. We had multiple family members and one person brought a dog for a day or two. I cannot say how amazing the view is from the top of the house and how easy and convenient is to walk to the beach where you're not overrun with people. We will definitely be trying to book this in the future. Thank you so very much for an excellent day!

The house was beautiful and clean. It came equipped with all the essentials plus more (paddle boats, bikes, towels, water, etc.). Easily the best stocked house we have been to. Great deck views, good communication with the owner and easy process.

Wonderful Vacation

The house was great. It was very clean and well organized. It had everything you needed. My family really enjoyed the bikes and kayaks. You can really tell that the owner really cares about her house and goes there often. I definitely recommend this to a friend. I have been renting vacation homes for many years and I would say this is one of the best.

Spectacular beach get away!!!

Our entire family (including kids and spouses) had a wonderful week at this beautiful beach house. In fact, it's been a few weeks since we were there and we all are still talking about it. Everything was perfect...from the quiet canal overlook, amazing sunsets, fully equipped kitchen, boats, bikes, grill, beach chairs, cooler, crab cages, location...to Bethany boardwalk, restaurants, and beach access. The website was a true snapshot of this magnificent house. We hope to return next year and hopefully make it an annual family event!!!!

Perfect beach stay

This house really makes for a perfect beach vacation. It’s in a quiet subdivision of Bethany, right on the bay, but is a short walk to the beach (which is hardly ever crowded). The house itself is beautiful and spacious. All the bedrooms are large, and several have en suite bathrooms. The furnishings and decorations are tasteful and not kitschy, and there are many thoughtful extras, like a roof deck, an ice machine, and an elevator. There are also so many other thoughtful amenities, like kayaks, bikes, crabbing cages, beach gear, games, and cooking spices. It’s really set up as if it’s your own beach house, with everything you might want on-site. We have nothing but great things to say, and we hope to come back in the future!

A lovely home that met all of our needs and more.

We had a very enjoyable family time with 3 generations of 11 adults and 3 fur babies. We were well equipped to live the beach and bay life with all the amenities provided by our generous hosts: beach towels, beach chairs, bikes, kayaks, crab traps, and the fantastic kitchen which was a joy to cook in too! We took every advantage of the gorgeous sunrise and sunset views from the decks— the rooftop view is expansive, and basked in the sun at the beach across the highway as well as at the handicapped accessible state park beach 3 miles south. The house was very comfortable especially for my elderly parents, and Cherie responded quickly to our questions. I hope we can stay again in the future—we’d love to come back!

Great getaway

Loved staying here with canal access for kayaking and fishing. Quick drive to end of neighborhood to walk to quiet beach (especially on week days). Short drive to restaurants in Bethany or fenwick. Was able to get outdoor seating for our party of 10 easily every night. Cherie was extremely responsive via text. Checkout was easy and mainly included emptying refrigerator and stripping beds. They use a sheet and bath towel service and next time would bring my own towels bc they weren’t the greatest quality. We often used our beach towels and just washed them. Great place to go during this crazy Covid time. Felt socially distanced from others every step of the way!
