Owl's Nest :)

Cute house with the basics for 2 adults and if you like owls it has the décor for you! The jacuzzi felt over chlorinated, so sadly, we couldn't use it. Nice neighborhood and convenient to all that Big Bear has to offer.

Thanks so much for the kind review Joanna! We are looking into the spa service to ensure there are no further issues with being able to access and use it! Hope to see you again!

Cute Cabin for a Small Group

Cute cabin, great location...adding a few more essentials for guests would be appreciated. The shower could use an update, but the only real downside is that checkout time is at 10am. They were unable to accommodate a late checkout even with it snowing outside.

Cute house, if a little underwhelming

My boyfriend and I had a lovely time here. It’s a very cute house, but it’s small. The stairs to get to the loft area are quite narrow and steep so be warned! Two people can easily stay here comfortably. We loved reading by the fire and hanging out on the couch. When it came time to cook, there’s plenty of tools but no extras (spices, sauces, etc) so bring your own. I also recommend you bringing your own pillows since the ones provided are quite flat and there aren’t any extras. Overall, it’s a very quiet location which is lovely. I just wish it was a little better maintained and was better equipped like other rental homes I’ve previously stayed in.

Okay stay

No late check in allowed and this is not disclosed prior to booking. Annoying check in process at separate location. Hot tub is not easily accessible (have to walk around the house). The property was in worse condition than the online photos. Overall okay experience. Quiet neighborhood. Relatively close drive to town and the slopes. Would not necessarily recommend.

Thanks for sharing your feedback with us Phil. Later departure is subject to each home's availability which is why it cannot be determined or confirmed until that morning. Very sorry that we were not able to accommodate this request for you and that you were not aware that the hot tub and yard are not accessible from the inside of the home itself, we do have this listed in our description but will make it more prominent for future guests. We do agree that this is a quiet Bear City location and a cozy little chalet and our team does sincerely hope to have the opportunity to host you again for a much better experience.

Not for Big People

The location is great. The property itself is nice. One thing i disliked was that 4 or 5 blinds were missing so anytime you sit in front of the tv you will feel like anyone walking by can see you. One item i wish I knew of before renting this property is that there is no backdoor. If you want to use the hottub, you would need to walk out the front door and then around the building. Lastly, the property is not made for sizeable individuals. The stairs to the queen bed is so narrow i honestly thought it was made for children and other little people. When i squeezed up the first time i genuinely worried i might break it. If you are a normal to small couple, this property would b3 quite enjoyable.

This is such a cute little cabin perfect for 2. The heater takes a minute to actually heat the place but the fireplace helped! The jacuzzi is in the back and there's no back door so you do have to walk around the front but other than those two minor things, it was perfect and romantic!

Nice little cabin

We stayed for a couple of nights in the cabin. Perfect for a couple or a small family that does not need much space. Comfortable, calm, and with a (small) fireplace. The heater was sort of old and not the most reliable one -sometimes it took very long for the heating to kick in- but other than that, a perfect cabin for a short stay in Big Bear.
