The Location - Palm Beach is right across the road from popular Shoal Bay Beach and the Shoal Bay Country Club and only 50 metres to a range of cafes, restaurants and local shops (chemist, bottleshop etc). It is also only four kilometres into Nelson Bay.

The Apartment - This first floor apartment has uninterrupted views across the bay from the large balcony. There is open plan living and dining with aircon, a Smart TV, free wifi, and a DVD player, and a kitchen with a microwave, oven, cooktop and dishwasher. Three bedrooms, main with a queen bed, aircon and a Smart TV, the second bedroom with a queen bed and the third with a double bed and two single beds. Main bathroom with a shower and spa bath and an ensuite with a shower. Plus an internal laundry with a washer and dryer and a double lock up garage. Enjoy outdoor cooking with a new Electric BBQ.

Very much look forward to staying in this property again very comfortable great location

Beautiful property suited our needs however tv in main bedroom didn’t work and sliding door in main bedroom leading on to balcony Otherwise all fabulous wouldn’t open minor issues also no cleaning products and tea towels left for us again nothing we couldn’t sort out but a little inconvenient

Great location

Was a little worried after reading reviews of property but no need once we arrived. This 3 bedroom apartment is a great size with bedrooms being good size. Kitchen had everything you needed and ample seating for 8. Massive verandah overlooking shoal bay with 5 steps to water!! Will definitely be rebooking ASAP. Only negative new tv in bedroom didn't work.

Disappointed windows could not be opened with keys, rang for assistance but no help given. No dishwashing liquid, ironing board unable to use did not work. The t-towel size of a hankerchief. very impracticable. No dish cloth. Would have been good to know this was not supplied.

The photos really do not do the property justice. There have obviously been so many upgrades to the space since these photos were taken. It was roomy, airy, very clean and very comfortable. Being so extremely close to the Country Club was a bonus for our group, but would probably not suit families with kids due to the late night shenanigans. The sound of the small lapping waves outside the main bedroom was a definite highlight. It's a massive 2 thumbs up from our group for this property!!

Perfect winter location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There is no better say to spend a winter weekend than on the first floor overlooking Shoal Bay.

Where do i start? I had to clean upon arrival!

Upon arrival greated by dead cockroaches, messy dirty beds and house. Couches filthy, everywhere dusty. Had to buy own pillows as the ones provided were horrendous. Fridge freezes $150 worth of groceries on the first night. Beds not only dirty and uncomfortable but also possibly infested with bed bugs as we were bitten by something, so i had to purchase blow up beds to sleep on. Showers build up of mould. Light bulbs needed for balcony, bedroom and kitchen. Kitchen and inside pantry infested with fruit flies. The balcony doors and windows and blinds difficult to open and close. To sum it up it was a filthy disgusting property that needs to be maintained and properly cleaned. So much more to say!

Location was great - across from beach But it was also bad- heaps of car and foot traffic. Privacy was limited. The noise from the pub/club next door was horrible limited sleep both nights. The furniture very outdated and uncomfortable. Old dirty sheets and blankets filled the cupboards in the bedrooms..

This unit is in a fabulous location to shoal bay beach etc. Unfortunatelythe unit is grotty and neglected. Carpet in 2nd bed lifting at doorway, exposing rusty nails, lights not working, fly screens ripped and falling apart. Contacted maintenance, they said they would get back to us about fixing carpet, they never did. to get lights fixed they wanted us to unscrew light fittings and let them know what globes etc. NOT GOOD ENOUGH for a fairly expensive holiday house....shame on Alloggio property management for this low level of service.

Great location but tired and dated

The location is fantastic/ right opposite beach. Unfortunately the furniture and bedding needs updated. The quilts/ throws in the wardrobes need replaced/ cleaned.the sofas only seat 6 ( in an apartment that sleeps 8) we stayed in this apartment years ago and it's the same old sofas. 2 of the outdoor chairs are broken . The fridge, tv and dishwasher are all in good condition. It's a shame as this apartment is quite unique with its wide frontage and proximity to the beach.

Great location, but in desperate need of an update

We have stayed here a few times as the unit is in a great location and sleeps 8 comfortably, BUT.. it is in desperate need of an update. Dishwasher doesn't work properly, verandah screen doors are ripped and hardly slide, tiles in kitchen coming off, no air con, garage door falling apart, generally dirty and needs TLC, carped filthy and not vaccumed etc... for the price we would expect better. Love the spot, shame about the place being run down.
