Bay Parklands is a family friendly complex boasting a lagoon style pool and tennis court with night light for those who enjoy a spot of night time tennis, along with established gardens and plenty of grassed areas for the kids to play. Follow the paved walkway to Little Beach (500m) just across the road for calm water swimming, a children's playground, picnic area, toilet amenities, BBQ's, a boat ramp. It's also only 500m to Wests Nelson Bay or a few minutes drive to Nelson Bay or Shoal Bay for cafes, restaurants and boutique shopping – the ideal location for a relaxed beachside holiday. This property also has a communal spa located in the games room for you to enjoy.

This neat and tidy ground floor unit is perfect for your next holiday stay in Port Stephens. It offers a tiled, air-conditioned open plan living area with comfortable seating, an android Smart TV, Bluetooth sound bar, ceiling fan and glass sliding doors out to a covered patio area with outdoor setting overlooking beautiful, lush gardens. The kitchen comes equipped with microwave, new coffee pod machine, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, oven and a stove, and the dining space is fitted with a solid wooden table and 8 chairs, and also has access to the outdoor patio area. There is split system air-conditioning throughout the unit.

The large main bedroom has a queen bed, ceiling fan and a private ensuite with shower and toilet, and there are 2 other bedrooms, one with a tri-bunk (double on bottom and one on top) and the other with 2 single beds. The main 3-way bathroom comes equipped with a wheelchair friendly shower, plus a bath and toilet, and the internal laundry has a washing machine and dryer. You will have access to 2 car spaces – one in communal lockup garage and one open car space that can accommodate a boat up to 5.5m long.

- Linen packs are provided for this property, and the beds will be made ready for your arrival.

The property is at a lovely location , stone throw away from Little Beach and right next to the communal pool. Unfortunately, this is the only positive. The house was clean for an older property - however if you have respiratory issues DO NOT STAY HERE. Horrible mould smell throughout the property, especially from the kitchen cupboards. There were diffusers in every room trying to "mask" the smell. The fans in 2 of the rooms were from 1970s and still had the 1970s grime on it. I had to cover the couch as i felt dirty after sitting on it. No wifi in the property and poor recpetion. The kids beds sounded like they were going to collapse. I think the owner purchased the property and kept the same furniture. Dissapointing as it has potential. The property manager was fantatsic and help my family and myself move from the mouldy place.

Comfortable property in great location let down by onerous booking and check-in process
The property was as described except that there were no towels on arrival and these took over 3 hours to be delivered. Our stay was let down by the booking process which involved the hosts Alloggio, their own booking agency Port Stephens Accommodation and the shopfront in the town of Nelson Bay run by Winning Holidays, which did the check-in and key handover (except on Sundays). I can't recall any of this being mentioned on the Stayz site. After booking and paying 50% through Stayz we were immediately contacted by Port Stephens Accommodation to pay the balance even though it was not due for another week. Stayz and Alloggio advised us to ignore these emails (a systems issue!!) but the 'overdue a/c' emails persisted for a further week until we paid. Thereafter Port Stephens Accommodation demanded that we do an on-line check in (as we were arriving on a Sunday when the shop was closed). This involved providing copies of driving licence, credit card and vax certificates by email which I was not prepared to do for security reasons and agreed instead to take them into the shop on Monday after some negotiation with Alloggio staff. We were still able to collect keys from the secure safe outside the shop on the Sunday . All in all a most frustrating process, the like of which I have not experienced anywhere in the world when booking accommodation.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived the apartment had no bed linen and there was dust , we cleaned and did our best to make sure the apartment was inhabitable.We left the apartment in a better state than it was when we moved in.Good space for a family of 5 The queen bed should be moved to the bedroom with ensuite bathroom.The apartment needs some renovations especially the bathrooms and update the furniture.
