Nice but overpriced
Good News and bad news:
I want to give 4 stars but it’s not a 4-star rental. It is overpriced for a condo that doesn’t have a beach or water view and doesn’t have a washer and dryer. You will need to do your laundry in the pool house, coin-operated machines. I thought our years of going to a laundromat were 35-years ago! It’s also difficult to get coins because of the coin shortage so bring your quarters from home!
When we reserved the rental last year for the 2022 winter, the unit was advertised as having a washer & dryer. We were told the week before we arrived that the unit did not have a washer/dryer. So it wasn’t as advertised - I think it was an oversight but still had to mention it in our review!
Brenda the host was easy and pleasant to communicate with. She went out of her way for us regarding the washer and dryer. She offered to have her housekeeper come each week to do our laundry! She felt bad about the mis-communication and offered compensation. I thought that was a genuine attempt and we were grateful.
This unit is overpriced - In speaking to other renters they paid half the price we did and their unit included a washer and dryer!
(Ok enough about the washer and dryer!!!!)
The good news about the condo: it’s nicely decorated and updated. The kitchen is tired but it is getting a remodel soon. The beds were comfortable and it was clean. The pool was warm and the association hosts many get-togethers and activities. It’s in a great location; walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Again, Brenda was a great communicator and only wanted us to be happy!
There is no place to store your beach gear so we were grateful to have our truck - we used it as our beach-chair storage facility!!
In the end, it is a nice, comfortable condo in a beautiful location!!
