Beach Front Home on Cape San Blas


Footprints in the Sand is a beautiful three story home that sits directly on the Gulf of Mexico in Cape San Blas. If you are looking for a perfect getaway, look no further. Each floor is thoughtfully laid out to accommodate one or more families, and provides a special spot for adults, and kids to have their own space!


Upon your arrival, you will enter the ground floor level which is a great area for kids to hang out. This is where you will find the second family room which includes a queen size sleeper couch, chairs, a full size fridge for extra drinks, and a SMART TV.


Also on this level is a King Bedroom (The Flamingo) and full bathroom.


The main level is a wonderful gathering spot for all. The hardwood floors lead you into a large family room, which includes custom interiors, fine furnishings, a large flat screen TV, and lots of windows to showcase the gorgeous ocean view. The family room flows nicely into the gourmet kitchen, where the finest chefs will enjoy a fully stocked kitchen, high end appliances, newly installed water filtration system, and granite counter tops. There is also a stand alone ice maker in the kitchen. Enjoy the furnished main deck on this level, where you will be transported by the gentle ocean breeze and the sound of the ocean waves.


Also on the main level is a laundry room, with a full size washer and dryer, ironing board and iron. This level also has a Queen bedroom (Sail Away) and full size bathroom.


The top level has a King Bedroom (Mermaid Cove) with en suite bath and sliding glass doors to the private master deck with breathtaking views of the beach. The master deck has a swing where you can relax and listen to the waves. The bunk room (The Sea Shore) is also on the top level and has a twin over full bunk with a twin trundle. There is also a full bathroom in the hall on the top level.


Each of the bedrooms has a Smart TV.


A short private walkway leads you to the gleaming white sand beach where you can enjoy the many beach provisions provided to guests- beach chairs, sand toys, beach wagon and tandem kayak. After a fun filled day on the beach, relax and unwind in the outdoor shower (hot and cold water) and the private pool. The ground level outside area also has a huge porch swing.


Enjoy free Wi-Fi Internet access and long distance, covered parking for 1 car, and open air parking for another 4+ cars. Footprints in the Sand is a very special place where you will form lasting, lifelong memories. Footprints in the Sand

We have been coming down to the Cape for over 30 years and this has been our favorite property by far. Everything was as advertised and we had a blast. Will definitely stay here again in the near future!

Very nice property. Right on the beach. We stayed on the ground floor which was just perfect for us. Have your legs in good shape, because there’s a lot of stairs.

Kitchen was well equipped and was clean. Front door needs to be replaced due to lock not working correctly and the door itself seems to be the problem. Place had nice beach equipment to use for free. The pool is extremely small and beach mice came out at night...eeek

If you needed something quick for supper the trading post is just down the street. The walk to the water was easy. We had a native visitor trapped in our pool and the maintenance guy was there in 5 minutes to take care of the problem.🐍

Huge benefit! -the house itself is quality built-quality outdoor furniture for enjoying a meal, or the stars -the swing on the upper deck was a gem and that’s where my husband and I ended our evenings...everyone around us was so courteous to keep their outdoor lights off and we could actually see the Milky Way!!! -We had perfect weather, the water was clear with a sandbar right in front of the house and water was so calm during our entire stay. The pool was great as well! The staff in the Coastal Joe’s office is consistently amazing! We had a light switch that wasn’t working and the sent an electrician to fix it in a timely manner. We love renting from Coastal Joe’s and will definitely be back next year!

Bathrooms need updating ... small, old appliances in bathrooms. Beautiful view, good dishware, glasses and pots and pans. Would have rented again but price went up 30%. Coastal Joe responded immediately to any request I had while staying there. Great company.

My only complaint would be the beds aren’t the most comfortable, but they were ok. We will definitely stay here again.

Perfect Beachfront Retreat

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was just two of us and our little 11-lb dog so many of the rooms did not get used, however worked perfect for us. I am so picky that I always travel with bedding and slip covers for furniture - so was pleasantly surprised the home was so well cared for and clean. Everything needed to enjoy the home's amenities and beach was provided. My favorite place to relax was on either patio overlooking the beach and in the evenings the pool was fantastic to cool off in. The outside shower was awesome and loved the large jacuzzi tub in the owner's suite. Since this is a pet friendly rental, the only thing I would highly recommend is posting a warning sign or simply removing the Sago Palms since they are extremely deadly to dogs. Absolutely beautiful location and would certainly stay here again.

CAPE SAN BLAS will take your breath away. Coastal Joe Vacation Rentals by far is the best rental company we have ever dealt with in 20+ years of renting various properties in FL. Upon arrival, we met the very friendly staff and everything was ready to go. The communication months before our arrival and during our stay was great. The House was amazing!! We have high expectations and they were exceeded. Very clean house, heated pool and plenty of beach chairs and a Ocean Kayak. We had zero issues and never had to call Coastal Joe's for anything. If you are looking in the Cape San Blas area, Coastal Joes gets the highest marks for any rental company from us. Perfect house in a fantastic location!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time at Footprints in the sand. The house was very clean and well stocked. LOVED the undercounted ice maker. The beach was very nice, clean and non crowded. Coastal Joe was very easy to work with and made everything a breeze. Only thing that would have been easier is having a keyless lock. If you have elderly parents/grandparents the stairs might be an issue and toilets are very low to the ground, but that did not affect us at all. This home has RUKU TV, not cable so there was a bit of a learning curve and they tend to go out quite frequently. Cell service on the island is not great, but the home has wifi which worked well. All bedding was comfortable, there was plenty of storage and a full size washer and dryer. Each bathroom had a hairdryer as well. The swing downstairs was the kids favorite hangout spot. The pool is very small but it is the perfect place for an afternoon retreat from the sun. The driveway is gravel which proved challenging to our Yorkie. He didn't want to walk on it but we just carried him over it to the sandy area. There is a Pinestraw bed as well for those pup potty breaks. We brought our tent with us and used that for shade on the beach. The home has umbrellas, life vests, beach toys, lots of boogie boards, a skim board, and kayak available to renters. The kids enjoyed the swing very much. The outdoor shower and hose on the bottom deck made it easy to keep things rinsed off and clean. Overall, the house has everything you need for a perfect vacation. We will definitely return. Thank you for an amazing vacation.
