Luxury Self-Contained House - Rainbow Bay, Snapper Rocks

The shack is across the road to the bay and over the hill to Point Danger Lockout, Duranbah Beach Snapper Rocks, home of the Roxy and Quicksilver Pro Surf Competition.

The Property is a twelve minute drive from Coolangatta Airport and one and a half hours from Brisbane Airport.

The house sleeps a total of nine guests and can accommodate a few different bedding variations and happily caters for families, couples, large groups, weekend trips and wedding bridal groups.

- King Master Suite with walk-in wardrobe, en suite, outdoor spa-bath room and 43 Inch television.
- King Atrium Suite, opening out onto a light filled terrace, configurations of this suite can be as one king, and/or one single trundle , or two king singles and a single trundle bed, 52 Inch TV and wardrobe. (This room is the best to have configured for children)
- King Courtyard Suite with large wardrobes.
- Early Risers Queen Suite with en suite.
- Lower level with en suite with walk in robe, bathroom and outdoor spa-bath room, main bathroom with double shower, luxury fittings, imported tiles and complimentary bath products.
- Upper level quaint en suite for Early Risers Queen Suite and kitchen and living space.
- Upper level is airy space with a large amount of wooden doors and windows with wooden exposed peaked ceilings, and torizo tiles.
- Larger Kitchen with a large island bench, double fridges, large double stove and oven, coffee machine, built-in bar with separate bar sink, well equipped kitchen for a cook, foodie and wine lover.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
If I could ask you that you make sure: the dishwasher is on, bins are emptied and all dishes not in the dishwasher are washed and put away before you leave that would be fantastic.
If you used the black and white stripe beach towels please make sure they are washed & dried and leave all bath towels hanging.
Also if you could make sure all doors, and windows are closed and locked and air-conditioners/fans are off please.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

The Rainbow Shack

What a fabulous home. Fully equiped, wonderful host and great communication. Plenty of room for us all, and a great place to prepare for our daughter’s wedding. Easy walking distance to great food and the beach just across the road. Hope to be able to return. Highly recommend The Rainbow Shack.

What a great 5 days. Rainbow Shack was amazing and Alicia was a wonderful host to communicate with. House is so well stocked and in a perfect location. Weather was not to our advantage but with a large selection of restaurants clubs and shops we were very happy. We will definitely return .

This is a gem perfectly located across from Snapper Rocks, and a short walk to Duranbah.

What a fantastic property! We really felt at home with our two families directly across from the beach. We are surfing families so this location is an ideal home base, and the hosts James and Alicia were very attentive. It was great having laundry on the property and the pool, even in winter it was a nice feature. We absolutely loved the large kitchen and new BBQ for eating in. Also, thank you James for the excellent bottle of wine. We hope to return again.

Our family of 9 (3 generations) had a wonderful stay at this beautifully appointed and spacious house. There is plenty of living space and having three bathrooms was wonderful. The kitchen was a true entertainer’s kitchen, there was plenty of crockery, cutlery and utensils, appliances and a double fridge. The bottle of sparkling wine in the fridge was just perfect for our birthday toast. The balcony table and seating were very popular for happy hours and sunset watching. The short walk to the beach over the road was appreciated. The pool was popular. At all times we felt we were staying somewhere truly special and luxe and the house made our first all-together family holiday a wonderful memory. I would absolutely recommend this gorgeous house. Many thanks to James and Alicia!

Amazing property

This property is beautiful, we all fell in love with it. For our family reunion of 5 adults and 3 children and it was so comfortable and relaxing. To cook for the family was a dream in such a well stocked kitchen with quality appliances and it had everything you would need. Hopefully we will have the opportunity to come back!

Amazing home at this beachfront paradise

Such an incredible house in an amazing location. The house has everything you could need and the owners were lovely and extremely accommodating. All the furniture and bedding is of such a high quality, which made our stay just that more comfortable. We were also surprised at how quiet it was considering it's on a beachfront road, but there wasn't too much traffic or foot traffic at all. Could not fault anything about the place. We will definitely be back!

The perfect place

A beautiful home in an Idyllic location, within easy walk to Coolangatta with a fantastic outlook, but not busy. Perfectly situated for being active all day and relaxing at night or just chilling. Well appointed, spacious and functional, a great place to stay.

Talk about beachfront….. location, location, location, you cannot get any better at Rainbow Bay! It is simply breathtaking! We spent hours sitting out on the balcony enjoying the view. The Rainbow Shack is a beautiful two level town house, which is superbly furnished. It has every conceivable piece of cutlery, crockery, utensils, household goods we needed to feel at home. The Rainbow Shack is in an ultimate setting and location for groups of people and families and the host, Alicia caters for each individual group. We asked for some bedding to be re-configured, and it was not a problem at all. The Rainbow Shack is easily within walking distance to some great cafes, surf clubs and patrolled beaches. Alicia was a superb host. She gave us clear instructions on parking, how get into the townhouse, and left a helpful collection of information and directions for us to use. We felt extremely comfortable and safe, and the Rainbow Shack was exceptionally clean. This would have to be the nicest holiday accommodation I have ever stayed in. Would highly recommend!!

Location and Accommodation 10/10

The Rainbow Shack is accommodation that will blow you away! Simply in the most sought after location in Rainbow Bay, amazing views and such ease to walk between both Patrolled beach at Rainbow Bay and Duranbah (Dbar) Beach. Ideal for families, multiple couples or even a mix of both. The size of The Rainbow Shack is overly generous, large indoor/outdoor entertaining areas or gatherings at the breakfast bar in the kitchen fit for catering large events on the top floor. The lower level has the master with wet room retreat, including large bath and deck. Additional is two well sized bedrooms dressed beautifully. With impeccable decor and quality furnishings you never want to be away from this charmer for too long. Enjoy an outdoor shower to wash the sand off the toes and then head to the outdoor bench/bar on the top level deck to watch the later hours in the afternoon! It’s a real treat. Highly recommended.

Incredible beach stay!

The Rainbow Shack is stunning, very spacious and stylish. We loved the beach front views and how the home was designed to be both functional and beautiful. All the amenities were beyond expectations: the beds were comfy and cosy, the kitchen was fully equipped with all the applicated, the laundry room was a huge bonus and on-site secure parking. The Beach Shack really has catered for every need and I 100% recommend The Rainbow Shack, because there’s nothing like this perfect home away from home!
