Vila Margarida is a luxury private villa rental in Praia da Luz on the lovely Algarve coast of Portugal. It is one of the best villas in the lovely small town resort, boasting great views, lovely private heated swimming pool and its own private hard surface tennis court set in a beautiful established garden of an acre which gives a high degree of privacy. Add all this to the fact that Vila Margarida is very centrally located and only 8 minutes walk to the beach and less to many bars, restaurants and shops and you will see that this villa offers the best of both worlds, a central location and amazing privacy and facilities.

The villa has 5 bedrooms, 2 double and 3 twin. 4 bedrooms are on the ground floor, 3 of these open onto the pool terrace. There are 4 bath/shower rooms. The lounge, dining room,1 twin bedroom and kitchen are on the first floor and the large first floor terrace has wonderful views to the sea and cliffs overlooking Luz Bay.

Beside the pool is a cabana area with bar, BBQ, outdoor kitchen and dining area. Real poolside luxury.
Also poolside is the new hot and cold shower enclosed on 3 sides.

The tennis court is a real bonus and a great place for burning off any excess energy or indeed calories!!
The tennis court is a hard surface court, fully fenced and faces North South to avoid the glare of the early morning or evening sun.It is in reasonable condition for fun or recreational play but is not at a club or competitive standard.

Pool heating is available at additional charge . This rate varies depending on the time of year so please ask for a quote

All bookings except in lowest season (November-February inclusive) are Saturday-Saturday and for full weeks only so we can do 1, 2 or more weeks with Saturday start and end dates. In the winter period we can be more flexible about change over days and duration of stay although we do not accept bookings for less than 7 nights at any time of year.

Your booking is from 15.00 on your arrival day until 09.00 on departure day.
Vila Margarida is extremely popular and we usually have bookings running back to back with Saturday change-over throughout the season (March-November)
On the vast majority of occasions we will need your whole party to leave Vila Margarida by 09.00 on the last day so that the maids have time to clean the villa ready for the next guests. Likewise on arrival day the maids will normally need until 15.00 to have Vila Margarida prepared for your arrival
Please bear this in mind when booking flights, transfers etc.

Winter rates are variable depending on occupancy and duration of stay. The basic price is based on 2 people staying at Vila Margarida. Each additional person will be charged at an additional fee

Golf: The Algarve is well known as a golfers paradise and Vila Margarida makes a great base for a golfing holiday, whether all members of the group are playing or some go off to play whilst the others relax by the pool or play tennis.
There are many excellent courses within a 25 minute drive including Palmares, Penina, Parque da Floresta and the closest , Boavista is only 5 minutes drive from the villa.

Lagos: The beautiful town of Lagos, described by many as the loveliest town on the Algarve with its old Roman walls and narrow windy streets, is a short 10 minute drive away. It has many excellent beaches, a lovely marina and fishing port and great shopping and bars, restaurants and nightclubs. Many boat trips run from here including dolphin watching and grotto visits. There are also deep sea fishing excursions available. There are lots of lovely pavement cafes and also entertainers and craftsmen selling their wares. At night it has a wonderful atmosphere and the streets are packed with locals and tourists out for a stroll and watching the entertainers.


Other Nearby Attractions: As well as all that Praia da Luz has to offer there are many other nearby activities for those who hire a car or who travel around by taxi or public transport.
There are 2 water slide parks within a 25 minute drive, a marine wildlife park, a large modern shopping centre and a small zoo.
The West coast beaches are huge and really beautiful, with large breakers in most weathers. They are ideal for surfing and several have surf schools and board hire. The closest are about 20 minutes drive. Also to the West is the nautical town of Sagres with some lovely sea-food restaurants and the most South-Westerly point in Europe, Cape St Vincent with its high cliffs, fort and lighthouse..
The ancient Algarve capital of Silves is a 30 minute drive to the East and has a lovely old castle.
