Amazing wooden log house, very clean, cozy, sand beach across the road, lots of nature parks in the neighborhood, one of the best vacation of our family. Highly recommend!!!

"Thank you for your wonderful and inspiring review. We appreciate your stay and booking for the second time around. We're happy to share our family's log cabin with you. Looking forward to having your family as guests in the future!"
We stayed here 2 years ago and enjoyed everything about it. The location, property, the house, were everything and more that we hoped for. We enjoyed our stay this time just as much, if not more. We appreciated the upgrades that were made, from the bigger TV and new refrigerator, to the wooden swing out front. We would definitely stay here again.
The cabin is beautiful. It's clean, comfortable and well equipped. Unfortunately, it's also right on the main road into Cheboygan so traffic noise is a significant impediment to relaxation when you're outside on the wrap-around porch. Inside, the cabin is quiet and relaxation can be achieved.

Cabin was very clean (just a couple of minor things not quite perfect) and very well stocked. Beds were very comfortable and the view from every room was amazing. No A/C but fine with ceiling fans and we brought a couple of box fans. Even in July the nights get cool so no problem there. Good location to head over to Mackinaw Island, trek to the UP, or just chill on Lake Huron. Would definitely rent here again.

Camp Tony was perfect for us! 3 adults, 1 child. Pictures are accurate except for the fact the they don't convey how the location and personal touches relax you and encourage you to disconnect and enjoy the beauty around you...The woodwork, walls and floors are beautiful as well as the views from the living/dining areas! The temps were up there during our stay- so we didn't take advantage of the campfire circle or indoor fireplace- but the setting for both the fire pit circle and furniture arrangement in the cabin would be perfect for cooler temps! Kitchen had what we needed for meal prep and there was a supply of seasonings and some basic food items that came in handy! The porta crib and booster seat were great to have also...I'd definately stay here again if we're traveling back to this area of Michigan. Owners were very responsive and available for questions before, during and after.

Enjoyed our stay, may look elsewhere next time
Camp Tony is about half way between Rogers City and Cheboygan, very easy drive. Beautiful log cabin but be sure to bring bug spray for inside and out. The downstairs toilet didn't work during our stay but not a big issue. The property does need some landscaping, weeds around the front stairs were pretty tall to step over/on, landscaping around the cabin needs some clean up. The deck definitely needed a clean up and the patio furniture is a bit random, nothing very comfortable. Very easy access to Lake Huron, just look for the red reflector across the road which marks the path to lake. Kitchen was well stocked and a nice supply of beach items if you walk to the lake.

Hi Donna, thanks for taking the time to review your stay. After reading your feedback, the homeowner wanted to share the following:
- First, we want to acknowledge that we were aware of the damaged floor and toilet from a previous guest, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused during your visit.
- That guest also must have kept the doors wide open, which resulted in the mosquitos. We understand that this could be bothersome, and we did inform you about the multiple cans of bug spray available in the garage to help address this issue.
- As mentioned in your review, the home is fully stocked to ensure that our guests feel comfortable, just as we do. We strive to provide a variety of amenities for a pleasant stay.
- We are sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations for a 5-star rating. Certain aspects mentioned in your review were beyond your control, and we wish you had informed us of these concerns so that we could have promptly provided assistance and resolved any issues.
Once again, we genuinely appreciate your valuable feedback and for sharing your experience with us.

Terrific place to stay!
My husband and I really enjoyed staying at Camp Tony. We had a great time visiting the area and sitting out by Lake Huron. We wish we had found the path to the lake sooner. We cut some branches on the path because we happened to have our pruners with us.
The house was spacious and comfortable. Thank you!
This cabin was great for a Labor Day getaway! The house was clean and convenient to so much. We are both hikers and went to 5 state parks in 2 days. The hiking is great! We even saw a porcupine in a tree on one hike. Very close to town for restaurants if desired, but we cooked our meals at the house in the fully equipped kitchen. We loved the fire pit and s’mores box too. Would definitely recommend!!
My wife and I stayed at Camp Tony for a week and we both wish it could have been longer. From the great location to the home itself, everything was beyond our expectations. We have been renting places "Up North" for over 25 years and we have yet to be disappointed. Camp Tony is at the top of the list of our favorite spots. From it's convenient proximity to Cheboygan & Mackinaw City, to it's privacy and solitude, the experience was just wonderful.
We needed a weekend away and this cabin was absolutely perfect! The cabin is beautiful and so are the grounds. It was cold (upper Michigan in spring.) But awesome! We couldn't use the connected garage because there were items in the way. But that was the ONLY complaint.
I stayed with some friends who were looking to sit in the sun on the beach and relax around a bonfire at night and this place was perfect for both. Beach was across the street and we had it almost entirely to ourselves. The house was stocked with lots of things you may need, yard games and s'more sticks, and more. The owners were easy to contact and very helpful. Overall it was a great location and I fully recommend it
We loved our time at Camp Tony! The house was immaculate and we appreciated the helpful hints in the welcome binder, as well as the little notes around the home letting us know which light switch was for what. Michelle was quick to respond and very kind. We had a ton of fun!
We were hoping to stay somewhere nearby to explore Mackinac City/Island. The distance between this property to our destinations were reasonable. I would have preferred a more homely, rugged feel as opposed to notes written (by owner) all over the home.
Overall, a nice place to crash for a few days!
The cabin was beautiful and very clean! It was nice to be away from it all!!

My Fiancée and I work crazy hours and decided we needed to head up north for a weekend of peace and quit. This cabin did not disappointment. The interior is absolutely beautiful, The Front windows being the main attraction. We only wished it had snowed or rained while we were there. We had everything we needed to cook with. The fireplace had three logs of fire starter and we ended up going out to Alpena (20 min easy drive) to get bundles of wood (found at a small liquor/sandwich shop). When we had questions, I was able to text the owners and they got back to us within 10 mins and was very nice/helpful. There’s a few other things like bikes and AV in the garage we didn’t use, but would have been great for the summer! There’s a small area where you can look out the windows and see Lake Huron! The bedrooms were clean, and the beds were very comfortable. We also had access to Netflix from the TV. Overall, we highly suggest this cabin.
Cabin was pretty cool, had a fire pit in the back that came in handy since it started to get chilly.
The fireplace wasn’t ready for use but think it got cold sooner than expected but the daytime was beautiful. Cabin was actually pretty close (10 mins one way or 18 another) to a bunch of stores up and down us23 and made for an easy day trip to Macinac island. Beautiful beach right across the road with Lake Huron sunsets and sunrises minutes away, loved the stay and appreciate the use of the property and home. Thank you for allowing us to experience Lake Huron with such ease.
Our family had a great time in the log cabin on the shores on Lake Huron. The cabin is perfectly located to explore Mackinac Island, the shores of the lake and relax in the beautiful living room.
We could not have asked for a better cabin in the northern Michigan woods. We took full advantage of the region with a fishing charter on Lake Huron (Diabolical is great), a long hike in the woods, a trip to Mackinac Island (Star Line was fine), and horseback riding. The grill was great for our lake trout, and easy family dinners capped with a bonfire in the evenings.
20 mins to Cheboygan (Mulligans was fine, and our kids got to experience a Big Boy)
40 mins to Mackinaw City (touristy with obligatory fudge purchase)
The cabin was excellent for our adventurous family (boys 10 and 13). We had family time to connect and felt more isolated than the more frequented Petoskey, Charlevoix, Traverse City, etc.
This property was beautiful and well-maintained. Know that when you are booking this property, it is a good 45 minute drive from Mackinac City. You are also a good 20 minutes from any type of store, so I recommend loading up on groceries and anything else you need before staying here. The cabin itself is gorgeous and the owner is top notch. It is located across from the Lake and the weather was great. This property doesn't have A/C, but with the windows open and the fans going, house remains comfortable.
