The Aspen Grove Lodge is an updated A-frame cabin with rustic charm. It combines gorgeous views and a secluded feeling to create the perfect mountain experience. Minutes away from ski lifts, winter sports, championship golfing and country club, world-class mountain biking, fishing, hiking, zip-lining, boating, camping and so much more! Spacious mountain living for you and your group. You will not believe the wildlife that visits our place; you can literally feed the deer from the deck.

Large picture windows bring the great outdoors inside allowing our guests to soak in the serenity of mountain views in cozy comfort. Enjoy the abundant wildlife that frequent the Aspen Grove Lodge throughout the day. Patient and persistent guests can even feed the deer by hand.

The Angel Fire Resort in which the Aspen Grove Lodge is situated is about as tranquil a place as one could hope for. Sit on the spacious front deck and listen to the soul-soothing sound of the wind through the trees. Our place is on almost 2 acres of land. Plenty of room for everyone to run around, explore nature, or build a snowman in the winter.

Our family cabin has two levels. There are two bedrooms (one queen bed and two double beds), a separate bathroom and laundry area (washer and dryer) on the first floor. Full kitchen, dining and living room in the same level as well. Upstairs you will find the master bedroom with a queen size bed, en-suite bathroom, and a large loft that sleeps 4 (two adult day beds with trundles with twin size mattresses ). Watch your favorite show or a movie in the brand new 4K TV on a very comfy couch. There are also plenty of board games to play with friends and family.

Sleep soundly on our thick and comfortable mattresses with 4 inch foam toppers and protective covers. We provide luxurious bed linens, extra blankets, and hypo-allergenic, organic cotton pillows to all our guests. Bath soap, body wash and shampoo, shower caps, lotion and laundry detergent are all part of the added amenities.

Kickoff your shoes and relax in the living room in front of the wood burning fireplace/stove, cuddle in warm soft blankets (stored in the ottoman).

Make yourself at home with complimentary Starbucks ground coffee, hot cocoa and tea packets during your entire stay. And there is a welcome treat bag waiting for you when you arrive. :-)
The kitchen is fully equipped (even includes a heavy duty blender, crockpot, coffee maker, French Press, toaster, and bakeware, spice rack). Help yourself to the pantry.

Sleds and snow-toys for children are available at the cabin in the winter season. Have a blast with your kids!

Gather with your friends and family on our large deck, grill your favorite meal, or just sip wine, drink beer and relax while dining outdoor on our high end fire chat set (seats 8).

Enjoy the cool summer nights gazing upon the stars and cozy up with your loved ones around an outdoor fire pit seating on rustic Adirondack chairs while sharing stories and s’mores.

We do not live in Angel Fire but a local property manager can assist our guests to remedy complications and surprises. You may also contact us directly for any questions or concerns.

Roads are plowed in the winter including our large, circular driveway and there is plenty of outdoor parking.

Angel Fire Resort have a village ordinance that forbids any garbage being left outside of the house or outdoor property premises. During your stay and upon check out, guests must take all the garbage and deposit it to the nearest dumpster.

In the winter time, the Resort offers a free shuttle service from the near-by country club directly to the ski lift. Local recreational areas, dining, and shopping are all within 5 to 10 minute drive.

We also want you to know that we are doing our part to help our guests stay safe by cleaning and disinfecting according to CDC guidelines especially frequently touched surfaces (light switches, doorknobs, appliance/cabinet handles, remote controls, etc.) before you check in. We care about your health and safety. Cleaning supplies and disinfectants are available to you during your stay.

Excellent stay at Aspen Grove Lodge

Our family of 6 (parents and 4 kids ranging from 11-18) had an excellent time in Angel Fire. The lodge was clean and very well stocked with all household supplies. The owners were very responsive any time I asked a question. Upon our stay, a huge storm came in and we were unable to get out of the driveway and the owners contacted the plow and they were there within 15 minutes. Short drive (5-10 minutes) to Angel Fire ski resort. 4 wheel drive vehicle was definitely a benefit to our stay in and out due to the weather.

Just what we needed...

We stayed at Aspen Grove in mid October and it was incredible!! Cabin is perfect; quiet and peaceful. Fire pit was a highlight and perfect for family time every night. Cabin had perfect family spaces and great wifi. Tons of amenities and great hiking trails close to the cabin. Glenn was accessible and very kind. Perfect for our family (5 kids from ages 17-7). Absolutely amazing property!

If you're looking for a great cabin in Angel fire, you need to stay here. The views are spectacular and the little touches by the owners really made our trip amazing. Our kids loved all of the animals on the property. We had deer visit nightly and there were quite a few chipmunks and even a baby bunny that the kids loved. Great rate and this cabin really was the highlight of our trip to New Mexico!

My family and I stayed here right after Christmas. The home was decorated for the Holidays, which added an element of coziness and fun for us. They even had twinkle lights in the bedrooms, which my preschool aged kids absolutely loved. Beds and furniture were comfortable, kitchen was big enough to have several of us in there at once, and we were warm throughout the cabin at all times. The loft area was spacious and had games, toys, and media options. Great place to stay.

Perfect family escape!

Aspen Grove provide the perfect relaxing vacation. The home is newly updated and well equipped for a large family. Very comfortable rooms with ample room to connect and spread out. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and provide family meals. The views from the property were picturesque and one of our favorite activities was watching and interacting with the abundant wildlife. We had a flock of turkeys and families of deer visit daily. Our daughter enjoyed feeding them up close with the corn provided at the house! We love staying in the country club area of angel fire due to perks like this! The slopes are easy access but the home was far enough away to feel like we were in a remote wilderness. We will definitely check for availability on a future trip. Thank you for your perfect hospitality!

A home away from home

I can not say enough wonderful things about the cabin and it’s owners. I have stayed in a variety of cabins over the years but never one as equipped as Aspen Grove. Not only are the owners incredibly nice but they have truly thought of everything. From the incredibly sweet welcome gift and Christmas card to the stocked pantry containing herbs, Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and more. There was also a washing machine and even detergent on site which came in very helpful as we were traveling with an infant who took great pleasure in covering himself in food and each meal time! Put it this way, those little nuances that always arise when staying away from home simple don’t when at this cabin because everything has been thought of and catered too. We rented the cabin a few days before Christmas and to our surprise and delight the cabin had been decorated for the holidays complete with Christmas tree and stockings. The kids (and the adults) were thrilled. The location of the cabin is great, about a 5 minute drive from the slopes and the village and the owners even have sledges available for use, again a great hit with all ages. Beds were fantastic and the cabin over all was cozy and inviting. I could go on but I think you get the picture :) I really can’t say enough good things about Aspen Grove and it’s owners. We can not wait to plan our next trip back!

The owners thought of everything you would need on a vacation, you may not have remembered to bring (anything from bug spray to a well stocked pantry with several different spices). Wonderful house!

We had a wonderful stay in Glenn and Susan’s rental! One son and family joined us. House was immaculate. Kitchen has everything needed. Check in was a breeze. Location is fabulous! Our family had a wonderful time at Aspen Grove. The cabin sits on a large lot so it was a lot of fun exploring and playing in the snow with the kids. Amazing getaways place!

The cabin looks much nicer than those pictures when you see it in person! The view is just gorgeous, and you can even feed deer and turkeys on the deck. The place is only 10 mins of drive to the AF ski resort and 5 mins to local grocery store, which we found very convenient during the stay. The owners are very cordial and responsive. A goody bag with a hand-written welcome card from the owners is just heartwarming. All kinds of board games, DVDs and snow sleds will never let your kids be bored! We had a wonderful time and are surely planning to come back next time!

I am a scientist by trade, and share my life with my wonderful wife (an accountant) and four mostly-grown kids. I love to ski and mountain bike, hike and fish. But more than anything, I just like being in the high country to listen to the sound of the wind through the pine trees and gaze in awe at the sun as it bathes the mountains in an ever-changing dress of different shades of light. It is there and only there that I feel like I can truly breath.

Why they chose this property

Ever since I was a child growing up in Denver, I have dreamed of owning a place in the mountains. This year, we made that dream a reality and bought the Aspen Grove Lodge. This is not just a vacation rental; it is our second home where we go to take refuge from the urban jungle and reconnect with nature.
