Please note when booking through VRBO: the price calculator only shows what is due to VRBO. Sanibel Holiday requires an applied deposit of 20% of the base rent rate plus all rent taxes plus the non-refundable $50 reservation fee which totals $55.75 with the required Florida taxes. This totaled amount will be charged by Sanibel Holiday to the credit card provided. Your final payment amount is collected by SH and will be reduced by this charged amount. Please see "Rental Agreement" under the Review Rules and Policies section (step 2 of 3) for all of Sanibel Holiday's Policies and Procedures.

***Please be aware that our island is still going through recovery. All public beach accesses are open, there are approximately 24 restaurants now open, as well as a few shops including Jerry’s Grocery. The Causeway is currently under repair with 20 m.p.h. speed limit. Expect traffic delays coming on and off the island. Neighboring homes and condos are making repairs so expect noise, trucks & equipment at your property and throughout the island. Unit A101, directly below A201, is beginning full renovation work on Jan 23. At times this work will be very noisy and parking space will be limited. The pool is open, however the elevator is not yet working..***

Bandy Beach is a quaint 10 unit complex located on the quiet East End of Sanibel with views of the Gulf of Mexico and tropical foliage. Bandy Beach A201 is a spacious, top floor, gulf-front unit with vaulted ceilings and semi-private elevator for your use. With 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, this unit comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests. Enjoy relaxing on your large screened-in lanai that overlooks the Gulf. The owner has recently renovated the kitchen and bathrooms and has equipped the condo with 3 flat screen televisions as well as a DVD player, CD player and Wi-Fi. Also provided are beach towels and beach equipment for your convenience. Complex amenities include: a heated pool, covered parking and gas grills. Bandy Beach is a smoke-free complex.

Property was exactly as advertised. Elevator was out of service but that was a minor inconvenience. The unit was adequately furnished and everything worked. We enjoyed our stay.

We also love the East end for its location on the quieter end of the island. Plus you can easily walk to the best breakfast place on the Lighthouse Cafe! Bandy Beach has all the bells and spaciou/ apartment-like feel, 3 bedroom units, Gulf views from most rooms in the condo, large lanais perfect for having dinner or playing board games as a family, access to well-stocked ground level storage lockers, a semi-private elevator shared between units 101 & 201 and a very small property with just 10 units. We are thrilled you loved your stay at A201 and hope your 2021 travel bring you back there!

Nice quiet getaway

Good things: Beautiful view. Not crowded. Pool directly below unit to watch kids from room balcony. Excellent layout of living space. New beach chairs, wagon, umbrella. Washer and dryer worked well. Kitchen stocked with necessary tools. Property managers go above and beyond. Bad things: southern Florida experienced unusual rainfall so driveway and pool deck flooded. Managers were extremely helpful with bringing stepping blocks to keep us out of the water and checking on us. They had a backup property ready if we needed to move. Even with the flooding I loved this place and the service the managers provided. Would stay here again.

Gas grill appreciated. Association is quiet. Lovely skylights.Excellent view and location. A bit pricey. Only concern of my daughter's was that there was mold on the ceiling drywall near the air vent in the twin bedroom. I presume it may have been from A/C condensation over time. We did not report it, but management may want to address it.

The condo has an updated kitchen and bathrooms, laundry room and huge lanai. I was glad we were on the 2nd floor because the trees had grown to partially obstruct the beach view, though. It was very quiet, especially with only 2 condos per building. We ate out for lunches and fixed meals in the evening. We were able to find all the cooking equipment we needed right there in the kitchen. (If you cook a lot, bring/buy extra dishwasher soap.) There were even beach chairs and pool toys in the private storage room by our covered parking spot.

So many reasons to love Bandy Beach and you hit on every one of them! We love the quiet East End location, most especially that it's within easy walking distance to Pinocchio's Ice Cream, Lighthouse Cafe (arguably the best breakfast on the island) and the East End Deli! We also love the apartment like feel of this harder-to-find 3 bedroom Gulf -front unit. Not only does everyone have their own sleeping space but the living and lanai space isn't crowded once everyone is all together. Ground-level, well-equipped beach equipment storage is always most appreciated by our wants getting set up for your day at the beach to be a lot of work! We hope you have plans to return to Bandy Beach in your near future!

The beach chairs were definitely past their prime. The toilet in the second bathroom has a slow leak. The periodic water and electrical outages were inconvenient. This review is for YOUR EYES ONLY, NOT TO BE PUBLISHED ONLINE OR OTHERWISE. I have loved staying at Bandy Beach in the past and I hope to stay there once again someday, but it requires some improvements for the cost. I expected more. I would not recommend this property to anyone AT THIS COST.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property is large, was clean, and had comfortable beds. The tvs were great except the cable was unreliable. The complex was under construction, so noisy, but we knew that going in. The furniture is very old, dated and not comfortable with the exception of a recliner. The decor was very drab and unappealing. I think for the money the owners could put in a little more effort and make the interior more attractive. I would not rent this unit again.

Grounds Flooded

Reviewer Comments: Our family of six come to Sanibel regularly as a much anticipated and favorite family vacation getaway. We are long time clients of Sanibel Holiday and have stayed at this Bandy Beach condo several times in the past with good experiences. However, this time, when our flight arrived late Saturday night, we were disappointed to find our condo grounds flooded and dirty due to heavy rains the previous week. The parking lot and entire pool area had several inches of dirty stagnant water that we had to walk through in order to get to condo. The elevator was flooded. The internet was poor. Our family has two online university students that were unable to access classes due to weak wifi. The next morning and Monday was more of the same with beach access having mid-calf dark colored water to walk through in order to get to beach. We felt these conditions were very unpleasant and unsafe so we went to Sanibel Holiday first thing Monday morning to notify them of the same. They called owner and we were able to let us move to another condo at a Blue Gulf location on Tuesday. With a family of six, the move took most of the day to get all packed, carry luggage through water, condo cleaned, bikes moved, and then unpacked again but at least we were now able to utilize parking lot, pool, and beach access without walking through flood waters.

Reviewer Comments: Rented this place for our family to enjoy after a long 18months with COVID not traveling. The location, space of the condo and view are amazing! But extremely disappointed by the amenities. The kitchen was stocked with mixed matched dishes that many had stains or chips in them. Small appliances like the can opener was all rusted. Most of the furniture was past it’s life span like the mattresses, couches and outdoor patio furniture. The furniture felt like it should be in a cabin not a high end condo on the beach. The heated pool NEVER worked the whole week. Call the management company a few time throughout the week to get it fixed since We were traveling with our 3 kids. The pool never was fixed, and was colder than the ocean in November. When we checked into the location the management company said the AC wasn’t really working and would be fixed in a day or two. The AC was never fixed, and thankfully it wasn’t to warm but only2 days to really need the AC. Overall, this condo wasn’t worth the amount they were charging. We would go down the road to a different location for the same rate with a better view on the ocean.
