Private In-law Suite in a quiet house with private entrance and driveway. Enjoy peace and quiet along the bayou in Northwest Houston. This cozy one-bedroom is well appointed and situated in a safe and quiet neighborhood. Boasting secured private access to the bayou trails and feature's a patio fire pit. This comfy and inviting suite sits nestled off the banks of Vogle Creek.
Miles of walking and jogging trails await you just out the secured back gate. Whether you'd like a leisurely romantic walk or a private and uninterrupted jog, Vogle Creek offers you an array of birds and wildlife, which are sure to please the eye and soothe the soul. A beverage of your choosing around our patio fireplace is another relaxing feature that will help turn your stay into the warm, wonderful, memories you will enjoy for a lifetime. This suite offers a private entrance as well as a private drive for secure and easy parking.
The space includes ample counter space, Refrigerator, Microwave, Coffee Maker, Electric Skillet, and dinnerware is included. There are no cooktops or ovens. Coffee and teas along with condiments are provided free of charge. Soap, Shampoo, and Conditioner are also included. The suite has internet and TV, as well as Bluetooth-accessible outdoor speakers on the patio.
We strive to make our guests feel like they are the only people here on the Bayou, and they truly are welcomed. We are available at any time should the need arise, but our guests' privacy is paramount.
We are pleased to offer before arrival pick-up services, such as floral, wine, beverage, firewood, or specialty food items for a nominal fee. Please contact us so we may help you make your time here as special and stress-free as possible. We will do our best to help find the best deal on whatever items you wish to have upon your arrival.

Truly a peaceful place to stay

I arrived here and noticed how quiet it was. I was exhausted and was able to nap after checking myself in. All instructions were easy to understand and applicable. As far as the hosts, Rick and Margaret were very accomodating. If i had questions, i was able to approach them and they both greeted me. But they also respected my privacy. Their back yard is a work of art. Be prepared to leave suburbian Houston as you walk through that gate. Enjoy your stay as much as I enjoyed mine.

Small backyard ceremony

My wife and I had a great experience staying here. Rick and his wife were nice enough to let us have a small backyard wedding at their place, during this crazy time. The place was thoroughly cleaned before we got there, the backyard and patio area was big enough to have the small ceremony. Overall we enjoyed this place and we can’t thank the owners enough for allowing us to to be able to get married here when we couldn’t find somewhere else to do it.

Another wonderful stay. As always, Margaret and Rick are exceptional hosts. Engaging, conversational when I needed it. As well as privacy when I needed it. The property is incredibly clean and inviting. It is so relaxing to come home after a long day on my business trip. Outstanding - Great for a Business traveler or for a Tourist

I chose this property because of the proximity to my work in Houston. The home is nestled in a park like area. Rick and Margaret are amazing hosts. They are sensitive to when you need your space, but were always available for socialization. I have made 2 new amazing friends in Houston. They are such a blessing to me. The space is tastefully decorated and warm and inviting. It had everything I needed after a long day at work. The King size bed was extremely comfortable and was a wonderful surprise. When my business trip was extended for several days, I was welcomed with open loving arms, several hugs and a chicken and dumping dinner, prepared by Rick (Yummy). I will definitely stay at the Bungalow on the Bayou for my next trip, whether it be business or pleasure, I know where my home is in Houston, TX. This property is a hidden gem in Houston. I love you, Rick and Margaret, to the moon and back. Thank you for everything you did. See you soon.

What makes this property unique

The property sits above Vogel Creek, with private access to the creek and trails. It has multiple gardens and fountains, along with an outdoor swing, bar area, firepit, pergola, and large patio with two 10x20 covered patio areas. Unfortunately, the unit has had cigarettes smoked in it which is not allowed, so there is a slight smoke smell which most guests don't seem to mind. However, if you are hypersensitive to cigarette smoke, you might want to consider another property.
