Surround yourself with history, art and contemporary style by staying in the Butler Bank residence. The main building is an active art gallery . A separate connected space is a two bedroom, two bath lovely furnished unit ready for you to enjoy. Located in the heart of downtown Hood River. Custom art is highlighted throughout. The main room is above the street yet close enough to enjoy watching the activity and a view to the Columbia River.

Each bedroom boasts a handcrafted bed with railings from the Butler Bank interior. Private baths with tiled showers are ready to enjoy after a busy day. Two off-street parking places are reserved for you. Enjoy entertainment on a flat screen Smart TV. Bring your account numbers for Netflix, Amazon, Hulu and more. Or stroll to the waterfront and watch the action on the river of barges, sailboats and kite boarders.

24-48 hours prior to check in, you will be sent a welcome letter with property details, directions, and access information.

We have staff members at the local office 7 days a week and an emergency contact at all times during off hours. If you book with us, our office information and after hours information will be provided with check-in instructions.

We enjoyed our stay here. The property is attractive and comfortable. It is very convenient to the shops and restaurants in the main shopping district of Hood River. We felt safe in this location. The location is also just a short drive to the Columbia River area for recreation and more restaurants.

Cute home in a great location

We really enjoyed our stay. The photos represent the home well. It can be a touch noisy at night (bar goers and loud cars) and in the morning (trash collection right outside one of the bedrooms), but it didn't bother us. Would recommend a white noise machine of some sort. The black out curtains were great. Overall really comfortable home in a phenomenal walking location.

Artist Apartment at Historical Bank

What a wonderful stay! The apartment was beautifully decorated with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location was great; just off the main street in old Hood River. While we were there, a festival celebrating the bank's 100 year anniversary was on! Music and vendors and all! So fun! Great place!

Perfect Spot!

We could not have chosen a more perfect spot in Hood River for a weekend getaway. We walked to restaurants, shops and galleries and only moved our vehicle once, to visit some wineries (with a designated driver, of course). 😉 This unit is great for two couples, each bedroom with a private bathroom and a comfortable, well-appointed living space. We can’t wait to come back!

We enjoyed the central location within walking distance of downtown and river front. Although in the center of town the apartment entrance is on a side street and and the apartment is very quiet. Some members of our group found the mattresses too firm.

Delightful downtown stay

This is a unique apartment in a unique part of a unique town. It was all delightful. Lots of wonderful details surround the apartment, from art carved out of recycled tools, lovely watercolors, and a coffee table with a divided glass piece underneath that evokes the river.

This is a cute apartment for 2 couples or a small family. The location is great and walkable to bars, restaurants, shops and even to the waterfront. Please note that to get into the apartment there are about 7-8 steep steps. It was no problem for us but for someone with bad knees, hips, or balance issues, it might now be a good option. The kitchen could use a few basics like a rubber spatula, spatula, large serving spoons as well as some basic spices like salt and pepper (containers were there but completely empty), garlic and onion powder and cinnamon. Could also use some cooking oil or spray too. Most places we have rented have supplied these basics. In addition, the bedrooms definitely need new pillows and pillow cases. All in all, I still gave a 5 star review because of the location, cleanliness of the unit and the communication with the host.

Cute and Convenient

For a quick stay in Hood River, why spend time driving? This cute unit is on the main shopping street for visitors. Quiet at night, so no worries there. Perfect for two couples.

Excellent Location

We LOVED this location. It was so fun being right in the mix of downtown Hood River. The two bedrooms and two bathrooms were the perfect set up for a couples trip. The main living area was great, as well.

Great Hood River Location

This is a really cool little space: interesting, open layout, lots of light, right in the action of downtown Hood River. Was a good spot for us for the couple days we spent. Kitchen was satisfactory and had the essentials (as vegans we do a lot of cooking in). As expected with lots of these types of rentals, not the friendliest for young kids (ours are 3 and 5) with dishes down low on an open shelf, drawers of sharp kitchen tools accessible down low, and a wobbly dining table bench, but we did make it work without too much trouble. Property staff was highly available and helpful by phone for any questions and check in issues we had. Would stay again!
