Enjoy stunning views from the deck of this very rare to find private cabin actually located on the shores of Lake McDonald inside Glacier National Park. Watch for wildlife to pass by as you sip your coffee on the deck as the sun comes up. Spend your days exploring or relaxing in one of the most beautiful National Parks in the United States. In the evening watch the alpine glow slowly move its way up the mountains as the sun sets and watch the most amazing sky of stars you will ever find with the possibilities of Northern Lights as the evening progresses. Located at the foot of Lake McDonald, looking directly into the heart of Park, within easy walking distance to Apgar Village. This cabin is conveniently located to provide year-round access to all of the amazing activities the Park has to offer. This modern cabin has all the amenities; a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, living area with wood burning stove, (firewood is not provided), and large deck with BBQ, picnic table and reclining and Adirondack deck chairs, all with views you'll never forget. Plenty of room for six people with two bedrooms downstairs and a large loft. Downstairs you'll find a bedroom with a king bed, a bedroom with a queen bed and a full bathroom.

This house was right on the beach of Lake McDonald. It had everything you could possibly need. We walked to Apgar Village several times per day to shop, eat or rent bikes. I don't use the word amazing much but this house was amazing. Beds were great, hot water/shower was great. Too much to list.

Beautiful location and incredible view! This is the perfect spot to stay while visiting Glacier National Park. The view over the lake from the back porch is breathtaking! The ammenities in the house are great and the beds are comfortable! We have no complaints about the property or location. Communication with the property manager was less than ideal. We had an issue with the smoke detector chirping due to needing a new battery. Not a huge issue, but it was very difficult to get a response from the property manager. I was able to make calls and send messages online, so there wasn't a connectivity issue. We did reveive a call eventually that it would be fixed, but it still wasn't by the time we left.

Perfect family vacation spot!

The location of this house is perfect! We loved it so much I had a hard time getting my kids to leave each day. We ate meals, played games and enjoyed gorgeous sunrises and sunsets from the deck. After a long day of hiking we played in the lake and it was only a quick 5 minute walk along the lake shore to ice cream, shopping, and groceries. We can’t wait to return to this little piece of paradise!

Unbelievable View!

The view and setting are worth it! Breath taking! We reached out to ask a few questions regarding recommendations/suggestions about kayaking and other activities, where to rent, etc., before our arrival, but did not get a response, which would have been nice, but not a big deal. We would definitely recommend this property, and would stay here again.

Breath-taking beauty

The views from this property are unbelievable!! The water and shoreline are right outside the deck of the front door. The cabin had everything I needed. The bed was very confortable. Slept so well. The kitchen was stocked with all the spices, coffee and filters and cooking pans. The property was very responsive in answering my questions. I can't wait to come back!!

Stunning property and breathtaking views! I throughly enjoyed my entire stay. I rarely ventured from the cabin, as the view was enough to keep me rooted on the porch just enjoying how peaceful it was. The only negative thing I have to say is the fact that I had to leave!

We stayed at this property for 5 nights and my only complaint would be the sleeping arrangements. There are 2 bedrooms and originally there were supposed to be 2 beds upstairs in the loft area which would have been perfect. Unfortunately the loft now has a couch and there are 2 loveseats in the living room that have hide-a-beds. It’s just an inconvenience to have to fold up the beds every day to have room to sit. The location is great, house was cozy, just need different sleeping arrangements.

Wonderful location for a family! Beautiful scenery, kind neighbors, close to Apgar Village!

Our family had such a wonderful stay at this cabin! They loved being able to go right off of the front deck and splash around in Lake McDonald. The cabin was immaculate and had a fully stocked kitchen with pots, pans, and even Tupperware, so we could take lunch on the go in the park.

Family trip

Amazing view, great property. Listing changed since we booked a year in advance which we were not advised of. Need passes for the going to the sun road now, checkpoint is as you leave the campground. Also no beds in the loft anymore because of the stairs. They put two sleeper chairs in the living area. We could not get the bedroom baseboard heaters to turn off. it was very warm and bedrooms were hot to sleep in with all the windows open all the time. Could not get maintenance to look at during our week long stay. We were told to just turn the temp down, which it was for the entire week.

Beautiful Rental

Wow, what amazing views & location of this cabin! We absolutely loved our 2 night stay (wished we could have stayed longer!) Loved the little Apgar Village which was just a short walk away. We rented a kayak & paddle board for the day & were able to come & go to cabin throughout the day. We have such beautiful pictures & memories from our stay at your piece of paradise on McDonald Lake! Thank you for your hospitality.
