Poipu Crater Resort is one of the most affordable and surprising accommodations in Poipu, Kauai. This charming and unexpected treasure feels like you're at home, only you're surrounded by a tropical botanical garden in the crater of an extinct volcano! There are 2 townhouse condos in each building which are built quite far apart, allowing for a great deal of privacy. In the mornings when you wake up, you are greeted by the birds singing as they dart from tree to tree. The private lanai allows you a perfect spot to enjoy morning coffee or sunset drinks, while the fully stocked kitchen will provide cookware for your entire party. This 1094 square foot condo sleeps up to six guests, and will be your perfect home away from home in paradise! Both bedrooms have A/C. Access to Poipu Beach Athletic Club (Fitness Gym Cardio and Weight Room, Tennis courts, and Pickel-Ball)

Love the location. Enjoyed using the beach chairs and umbrella. Adequately stocked kitchen. Nice touch having wine and glasses chilling in the fridge upon arrival. Overall was happy with our stay.

Poipu Crater Wonderland

Poipu Crater is so full of greenery, flowers, birdsong and quiet privacy. And our unit 16 was economical and surrounded by the lush mature foliage. Inside the unit we had all convenience we needed for an enjoyable two week stay. And the Poipu Beach Athletic Club was a real plus.

pretty, comfortable, easy

My family rented 2 condos next door to each other. there were 8 of us, so we had plenty of room. We were close to the pool and a lawn so it worked really well for the children. The next time, when they're older, we plan on getting the same thing only closer to the beach. We had a really good time.

Right Place, Right Location, Right On

Have not visited Kauai in over 30 years and can't quite believe it has been so long. First stay in Poipu and found it to be an ideal location for all of our island activities. The Crater accommodations were well suited for this couple and our planned activities. The condo was well equipped, clean and conveniently located for all our needs. In driving around the island we realized we made the right choice with our decision to stay in this condo. Suite Paradise was easy to work with for this vacation. Mahalo.

Spacious, comfortable stay in prime location. With updated bathrooms and washer/dryer in unit, stay was even more enjoyable and convenient. The beach chairs and boogie boards were an unexpected plus.

A perfect place

Know before you Go

This was our first time staying at Poipu Crater. Just so you know, there is air conditioning in the bedroom but it is set to 74 degrees. It doesn't cool down the room at all. The fans are all set to one speed which doesn't help either. There is no AC in the living or dining room. We were told to keep our doors open so the air can flow through but there was no wind at all (we were literally in a crater). The master bedroom upstairs has a door but also has an open ceiling on one side of the room. If someone is sleeping upstairs they can hear everything going on in the Kitchen and Dining room. There are no lights in the parking area. Be prepared to use your phone as a flashlight. The light on the path to the condo was off the first two nights we stayed there, then it got fixed. The trees to this unit are overgrown and encroaching onto the pathway. One of the trees had thorns and ripped my friends dress. The washer and dryer was out of order during the time that we were there. Its also located in the bathroom which is quite weird. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and cook ware. The stove and icebox worked great. We couldn't get the TV in the downstairs room to work. The living room had two recliners and a couch which made it a great place to relax. The lights in the house must be on some timer (even though the office had no clue about it). Every morning at about 2am all the lights to the condo would go on. Great condo for people who will be out a lot.

Great location , clean and quiet

The condo itself was lovely. It was spacious and clean. I loved the proximity to the pool for the kids. It was quiet where we were as well. My only disappointment was the lack of basic kitchen supplies like salt, pepper, cooking oil ect. We have stayed in 2 other properties years prior and the kitchens were much better stocked for eating in. Overall though I would stay here again, it would be nice if in the description it informed you that you would need to buy your own basic seasonings. The employees I had the pleasure of talking to and interacting with were amazing. Everyone was very kind, helpful and informative. Customer service is important and I’d give them 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The place was nice for our party our only complaint was we had invited some local friends over for dinner and wanted to sit out by the pool and I believe the manager who lives next to the pool told us we couldn't have our friends sit there to use the facilities. the only people there was the manager ( ?)and his wife and another couple with them. nobody else was even there except them. we were only going to eat outside by the pool. finally he said we could use it but by then we were already upset at his unfriendliness and decided just to eat inside our condo.it's the kind of service that you get that makes a person decide wether they would come back or not. unfortunately, this left a bad impression for us. the check in girl was very friendly on a positive note.
