A lovely spacious stone house with big terraces and amazing views

The property is a lovely old stone house in one of the most beautiful villages in France set amongst rolling wooded hills and vineyards. The house has been modernised and has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a large well-equipped kitchen, family room, library, and sitting room with TV, DVDs and large open fire. Wi-Fi is available in most parts of the house. There are three south facing terraces and a small pool. The house is both spacious and cosy, and the interlinked rooms and terraces make it easy to be part of a family or group but also to have your own space and privacy.
The Ardèche, Cevennes, and the historic towns of Avignon, Nîmes, Uzes and Orange are within easy driving distance. For wine lovers there are the vineyards of Lirac, Tavel, Châteauneuf du Pape, Gicondas and Vacqueyras amongst others of the Rhone valley.
There are two restaurants in the center of the village and two others on the outskirts (although they are not open in winter).The river Ceze is a short walk away with rapids and a popular river beach. There are some lovely walks, and riding, kayaking, cycling, caving and fishing amongst other activities are available nearby.

The home and service was great! Small town up hill indeed a climb but the view makes it all worth it! Rest and the river what more is needed! Good bed comfortable home all what is needed and more is there.

Lovely large villa which has a mixture of rooms, open spaces & terraces. Full kitchen with plenty of crockery & cutlery. Some amazing art work and artefacts throughout the property, some of which are the work of the owner

Beautiful house - generous, peaceful, very well- equpped and absolutely as described. Owners were extremely responsive and very helpful - and both La Roque sur Ceze and the surrounding villages were delightful. The boulangerie in neighbouring St Michel d'Euzet provided some of the best croissants ever, and La Chartreuse de Valbonne, with its extensive walking routes, was a wonderful surprise. Altogether, "superbe" !

Fantastic property

The property is fantastic, very spacious. The hosts are gracious and helpful. The swimming pool provided welcome respite from the heat and is ideal for relaxing and floating. The cascades du sauterdet are a short walk from the house where the swimming is refreshing and the teens enjoyed jumping off the rocks.

A beautiful home in La Roque

Located in a picturesque and historic village, this beautiful house provided our extended family a memorable trip to the south of France. Fully renovated, the house provided relaxing terraces with lovely views, a very functional kitchen, comfortable bedrooms and a charming pool. The air conditioning throughout the house was appreciated! Our hosts, Andreas and Patrici, provided a list of suggested restaurants and sights and quickly responded to any inquiries. We highly recommend it!

A beautiful house in a beautiful area

We were delighted with this property, which accommodated 8 family members easily. It is of very high quality and beautifully maintained. The view from the main terrace is perfectly French and quite magical. We felt privileged staying in the village with excellent walks uphill (to the chateau or just up through the trees to the hill-top) or down to the spectacular cascades on the Cèze. The hosts were the best communicators I have ever dealt with in 25 years of renting holiday properties in France. I would absolutely recommend this property.

La Roque sur Ceze holiday

Our family had a relaxing week in the village La Roque Sur Ceze staying in the hosts stylish holiday home. The location is excellent for the many activities we enjoy, early morning bike rides, Ceze river swimming, Uzes markets, Grotte Chauvet2 , plus the many restaurants to visit with very good service along with culinary delights. The kitchen is well equiped and there are many inside and outside dining options. The house has lovely private views and is very spacious. The plunge pool and the air conditioning are wonderful assets to this property. The hosts are prompt and excellent communicators.

Maison La Roque

Lovely property sympathetically restored in a charming way but with all the comforts of modern living. It cannot be faulted. La Roque is a nice quiet place and the views from the house were good. This would have been 5 stars but we were taken aback by the 5pm check-in and 10 am check out which whilst on the Vrbo listing was something I didn't notice. The only other thing was to be confronted with a raft of paperwork which I was meant to sign, more in keeping with a long term let than to a one week holiday. This didn't spoilt the fun though and the owner was pleasant and communicative, even helping us out over the phone when we were lost. Thoroughly recommended.

The tenants were nice, communicative and maintained the property in good order. However, we would like to mention that check in and check out times are clearly stated in the house rules mentioned in VRBO. It is the very first time tenants mentioned this to us and tenants need also to understand that we need to have a large cleaning window so that when the next tenants arrive, the house is in order and clean. For the paperwork, though all papers are send beforehand to tenants, we will endeveour best efforts to make it shorter and more simple in the future. Patricia & Andreas

Ein außergewöhnliches Refugium in einem der schönsten Dörfer Frankreichs- wirklich ein kleines Juwel! Prachtig gelegen

Huis ligt in beschermd prachtig gelegen dorpje. Nadeel is dat je af en toe wat moet sjouwen met je boodschappen, groot voordeel is het uitzicht dat je hebt vanaf de verschillende terrassen. Het zwembad is ter afkoeling, niet om baantjes te trekken. Huis is volledig airco, wat de afgelopen weken een groot voordeel was, is goed en chique ingericht. Veel ruimte zowel binnen als buiten. Wij hebben er een heerlijke tijd gehad.
