Cottage Bala - cozy cottage with a big private garden ( secluded & relaxing )

Cottage Bala is located in a quite and peaceful area of Bled, with a big private garden and beautiful view on a nearby mountains and the lake. You can lay down on the sun or just relax after all day activities which you can find in Bled and its surroundings.

The space

Cottage Bala is fully equipped and it's ideal for 4 people but it can accommodate 7 people ( 6 adults and 1 infant/child ). Two large double beds in a separated bedrooms and additional sofa/bed for the 5th and 6th guest in master bedroom. Highchair and the crib for infant/child are provided.
Cottage has two toilets one in bathroom ( ground floor) and upstairs toilet.

Guest access

Feel free to use all the amenities in the house. For washer and dishwasher ( soap, softener and detergent) are included. Outside you have movable grill and open fireplace ideal for evening gathering by the fire.

Interaction with guests

We always meet our guests in person and help them with ideas what to do or see. There are also maps and brochures about Bled and Slovenia in the cottage.

Other things to note

There is a law in Slovenia that host is responsible for informing local police station about every tourist that sleeps at Bled (or any other place in Slovenia).

That is why we will scan your IDs upon your arrival and charge you for the Tourist Tax which costs:
- 18+ years: €3.13 per person / day
- 7-18 years: €1.56 per person / day
- 0-7 years: free

Cottage Bala - einfach große Klasse!

Wundervolles, sehr gut und überlegt ausgestattetes Ferienhaus mit Allem, was man sich wünscht. Sehr gepflegt und sauber, ideal für bis zu 4 Personen. Gemüse-, Kräuter- und Obst aus dem großen Garten durften wir nach eigenen Wünschen nutzen. Das Haus ist gut erreichbar, ruhig, zentral gelegen zu etlichen Highlights in der näheren und weiteren Umgebung (Triglav Nationalpark, Ljubljana, Tropfsteinhöhle in Postojna). Unaufdringlicher Gastgeber mit gutem Gespür für Beratung und Tips zu Ausflügen und Kulinarik. Sloweniens Nordwesten ist begeisternd für Menschen, die Natur lieben und gern zu Fuß, mit dem Rad oder auch mit dem Auto (wenn das Ziel zu weit weg liegt) unterwegs sind. Resümee: absolut empfehlenswert - wir kommen gern wieder.

Short stay in Bled

We stayed for a few days on the way home from Croatia. Property was spotlessly clean, well organised and had all the facilities and equipment you could need for any length of stay. A beautiful location a short walk from the lake. Tine was very welcoming and helpful and gave some great advice about how to get the best from our stay. Highly recommended.

Prachtig huis

Ons verblijf was TOP. Tinne is een heel aangenaam persoon die echt de moeite doet om je verblijf fantastische te maken. Alles is echt aanwezig in het huis, heel proper, helemaal niets op aan te merken. Onze hond Frankie geeft ook volop genoten, vooral van de mooie tuin en de knuffels van Tinne.☺️ Wij komen heel graag nog eens terug.

Sehr schönes Haus in toller Umgebung

Wir waren begeistert. Das Haus befindet sich auf einem Naturgrundstück mit Garten in ruhiger Lage. Es ist sehr gut eingerichtet, uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Wenn es Fragen gab war der überaus zuvorkommende Vermieter immer zur Stelle und konnte uns mit Rat und Tat weiterhelfen. Wir empfehlen dieses Haus uneingeschränkt! @ Tine nochmals Danke.

Well equipped, great for families

We enjoyed a fabulous week at Lake Bled. Tine was a great host providing prompt and helpful communications before and during our visit. We had some excellent advice regarding key places to visit and Tine helped to organise an amazing day on the Soca river for us too. The local bakery was a daily highlight with fresh pastries a great start to the day. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and really well equipped. The children loved the garden and play equipment and it was so peaceful. We enjoyed several days down by Lake Bled (10-15 min walk away) and visiting the surrounding towns and countryside. Overall one of our best family holidays ever - we will definitely be back!
