You get two rental for the price of one PLUS HEATED PRIVATE POOL. Full kitchen, bath, laundry and bunk room downstairs and 2 bed, 2 bath upstairs with another full kitchen and laundry. All new furniture, beds and appliances. Brand new HD internet TV's in all bedrooms and living areas. Fully fenced backyard and outdoor shower. This historic home was built in 1939 and fully renovated after Hurricane Harvey. It is in the heart of old town. Close to everything! We are walking distance to all the best bars, shops and restaurants. Only a 2 minute golf cart ride to the beach!

Perfect family house!

This is a perfect family house as the kiddos can be downstairs on computers while parents enjoy the quiet upstairs. We walked to the candy store, restaurants, ice cream shop just a few blocks away. The home is cozy and we cooked a lot—there’s everything you need in the kitchen. We had cornhole game competitions on the porch and it’s lovely to eat dinner at the picnic table. We couldn’t have asked for anything else, they really think of everything! I hope we can comeback next year!

Pool time on island time is everything!

I can't say enough good things about this property. It was well maintained, the place is roomy and having a separate downstairs area proved to be really convenient - especially close to the pool. The owners really thought of everything, and as many places as I've stayed it was nice to have the thoughtful amenities available in each space. The pool is definitely the heart of the place and where we spent most of our time when we weren't on the above deck enjoying the breeze. I will absolutely stay here again - and as a plus, one of the people staying with us grew up across the street riding their bike and playing in the backyard where the pool is now! 5/5 stars for adults and safe for kids.

Best place in town.

We have been to Port A several times and this house is the best. The pool was a hit with the kids and adults. The house has everything you would need. Close to town and the beach. Quite area at night. We will be back next year!!!

Wonderful House and Great location

We recently visited the Port Aransa area from PA to attend a veterans memorial service. We located this house on VRBO and it looked perfect. The house, the owner and the location are all on point. This house had everything we needed in stock; kitchen items, beach towels, pool toys and everything else in between. The beds and bedding were soft and comfy. The downstairs area was great, my son loved having his own little retreat. The only suggestion I would make is the brick under the fire pit should probably be changed to something round to avoid toe injury ( my sister in law found the hard way). I would highly recommend staying here, you can not beat the location and easy walk to all the restaurants and local little shops. We will for sure be looking to use this house in our future visits :)

Beautiful house!

Beautiful, clean, and convenient. This was our second time to stay here and we loved it! The owners are really nice too and the house has everything you need and more. We could walk to several restaurants and it was really quiet inside the house. Will definitely go again!

Great location and lots of extras!

This is a centrally located property within walking distance to restaurants, ice cream, and bars. The house has plenty of parking - we were able to park 3 trucks, a Jeep plus a golf cart. We were greeted with a welcome basket of wine and snacks and the owners had so many extra items in case you forgot something. Enjoyed our stay!

The Memory House

My best friend's family owned this house and I have many memories of staying there as a child. It is top notch in my view from the comfortable beds to the kitchen well equipped with updated appliances. The outside amenities: Fire pit, car port with tables and chairs and wrap around deck with gas grill was all one needed to enjoy Port A.

Best place in Port A!

Our family has been going to Port A for over 20 years. With three older kids, we had outgrown our old rental place and found this lovely house. Best place we have ever stayed in! Clean, roomy, and very well stocked! Owners are very friendly and made the check-in process super easy. We truly felt that we weren't at a rental but at a good friend's home! Can't wait to go back!

This 1939 bungalow was gutted down to the original wooden walls after Hurricane Harvey. We completely refurbished the entire house. All new appliances, furniture, paint. We are planning on retiring to the island in a few years and we found the perfect place in the best location. We absolutely love this spot. We really think you will too. This is our first rental so we want to make your experience special. We know you will love it as much as we do!

Why they chose this property

The reason we love this place so much is not just the history of it being built just a few months before the start of WWII but, the incredible location. You can literally walk in ANY direction and be at the best bars, shops and restaurants on the island. You don't really need a car.

What makes this property unique

The two separate living spaces are an incredible feature of this house. It is the perfect layout for a family with older kids. You can have your own space upstairs to relax and entertain and the kids can chill, game and play downstairs without disturbing each other. Our family loves it. And then get together for a nice dinner together poolside or on the huge deck upstairs to take advantage of the great evening breezes.
