Quaint Cottage in the Texas Hill Country

Set on a serene spot in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, the Buttercup Cottage is the perfect location for a restful getaway for a family or small group. This cottage contains 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and is capable of comfortably sleeping 6. The cozy living/dining area and kitchen make it the perfect spot for a group getaway. Buttercup Cottage is wheelchair accessible and contains a roll-in shower in one of the bathrooms. There are a total of 3 cottages in the area as well as a cabin and the main house if you are in need of more room and would like to rent another one of our properties. With just a short 20 minute drive to Fredericksburg, it makes the space the perfect place to stay!

Great place for kids

It would have been nice to have a TV in the house Especially with kids and during football season! ! The only reason I did not give full stars you also have to park far away and unloading the car was tough and the main house was rented out so they took away offering breakfast every morning with no discount !!

Great atmosphere. Everything went well except we were not aware of which condo we were to stay at until we called the number at the check-in counter. He had to check with someone else but got back to us in a very short time. We were to stay at Buttercupbut there was nothing on our reservation saying that.

This property was clean and nice. It is located on a pretty property and in a good location in proximity to Fredericksburg and Boerne. We had a great time and would stay again!

Great Getaway in Comfort

Seamless check in. Super clean cottage. Great location. 25min to Fredericksburg. Great local wine at Newsom and pizza at Comfort Pizza. Two of the cottages don’t have an oven (stove top and toaster oven) so just heads up in case that matters to you Would 100% stay here again.

Girls Trip!

Me, my mother, sister and my daughter came down for a girls shopping trip to Fredericksburg. The property is beautiful and the cabin we stayed in was extremely nice. Very quiet property and a short drive to Fredericksburg. We would recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!

We were there with my cousin and her husband for her 50th Birthday. She has never been to Fredericksburg or stayed In a VRBO. The house was perfect. Had a great trip. Will definitely be back.

Wedding plans were perfect

We booked the entire Inn and three cottages for a socially distanced wedding. This cottage was used by the family who had young children. The layout was perfect for a young family. The pool was a great draw during the hot afternoon, and the cottage next door was reserved for grandparents. How fun is that!

Perfect Country Cottage

The cottage was sparkling clean with really nice linens. The walk-in shower was a nice extra luxury. The entire property is lovely to walk around, and even though the pool area is older, was very clean. We asked for a few extra kitchen items, and the manager brought them over in less than five minutes. Great views from the porch, and a great place to social distance at this time!

Peaceful and Beautiful

Beautiful property with pool and river access. You have enough room to enjoy a walk in the morning. Very little interaction with guest if that is what you are looking for. About a mile from town. Comfort has great shopping and good dining. I would make reservations at least a week in advance for some restaurants. Check the site of where you want to dine first. Supplies: No steak knives, so if that is something you are grilling just be aware. No blender Bring extra toilet paper (limited staff at times) Self check-in Will visit again.

The cottage was cute, quiet and clean.

We enjoyed the quiet area, we could hear the babbling of the pond from the spacious porch in the evenings. We went to the river daily, the grandkids were either fishing or swimming. We even kayaked some, the biggest issue was getting the kayaks to and from the parking lot. We were not allowed to drive down to the dam to drop off or pickup the kayaks. It would have been helpful to receive more details on the meal options. Website need to be updated to reflect those details. The reason for the four stars are: 1) The Master bedroom door was not aligned right, two mornings in a row I thought I was going to break the handle trying to get out of the room. 2) The master bathroom door would not close at all. 3) We had to empty the trash several times during our stay, the sign in the cottage kitchen indicated that the staff would take care of the trash daily. 4) House should have a broom to allow us to sweep up the floor, had to go to main house to get one.
