We had a nice stay. The house is in a quiet area and has lovely views. Very clean with everthing you could need. Quite close to a small town with a 4 square so supplies were easy to get.
A perfect spot to stay and explore Nelson. The house has everything you need, we really enjoyed the beautiful outlook over the countryside and the beautiful grounds.
We loved our stay and the house had everything we needed. Kids loved feeding the chickens and playing and foraging in the garden. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Absolutely loved our stay here, beautiful home with amazing views. Ideal for our family group and kids loved seeing the animals, great experience. Really well located to exploring the region. Thank you for the stay!
This property was great! The kids had fun in the garden, there was heaps to explore and they loved the ripe plums. Plenty of space, nice outdoor area and view over the valley. 40 minutes to Able Tasman national park and 20 minutes to Nelson. We enjoyed our stay a lot.
Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day stay. House is very well equipped, spotlessly clean and in a good location for easy access to Richmond, Nelson and surrounding areas. Views were gorgeous. We really appreciated the peace and quiet.
The property is amazing and is much more spacious than the photos show. It is very central to a number of great loacations and allowed us a stepping stone to some amazing places within a 60 minute drive. Would thoroughly recommend and would look to stay here again on our next trip
The location is perfect and the views were stunning. There was heaps of space for my family, we loved the fireplace, it kept us warm during winter. Shower also had great pressure ! We would love to come back.
Great wee house which had everything we needed for our stay. It was a great location for what we wanted to do. Lovely clean and tidy. Bonus having all linen provided. Kitchen had everything we needed. Second time we have stayed and will be back.
The place was a great size for our family of 7. We enjoyed the quietness of the country and the many sounds of sheep and birds. We got to see goats, cats, a dog, bunnies and even a hedgehog. The neighbours are very friendly and even let our children see a chick. Anne was great at responding and treated us very well. We would definitely stay there again.
A lovely quiet restful place to stay. Beautiful rural outlook. Conveniently located between Nelson and Motueka beaches. Look out for wasps. Plagued by ants but the kids thoroughly enjoyed observing them! Great environment for families. Thanks Phoebe and John
A fully equipped, functional home situated in a quiet location close to Nelson city and attractions in the Tasman District. We used the home as our base when visiting relatives over Christmas, and it gave us our own retreat to return to each evening. It was a great spot to start a couple of bike rides from too. Thanks John & Phoebe, and Anne!
This is an ideal, well equipped rural home. Bedrooms all have walk outs to a patio where we ate meals with spectacular hillside views. Richmond is minutes away with excellent shopping and playgrounds for the kids. Just up the hill within three kilometres we discovered three lovely Reserves with river swimming, (including a rope swing!) and outdoor barbecues. Nelson is a short drive and so is Rabbit Island with a beach and bike trails beyond compare. Our favourite bakery was up the road in Wakefield where we also found a playground with a zip line, a beautiful riverside track, and the best little golf course. It was great to get to know this area and return to our farmhouse at night. Peaceful. Private. Only the occasional cry of the kiwis in the night. Our family of seven had an unforgettable experience. Thanks John and Phoebe for sharing your paradise with us.

You're very welcome, come again sometime. Not sure it was kiwis you heard, probably weka or possibly pukeko
Right from the beginning of the driveway, we were impressed with the property and its well established planting. We fell for the grounds surrounding the house. They are just so beautiful.
The house interior was more appealing and vibrant than the photos show. The beds and lounge suite were very comfortable, with the bathrooms and laundry also operational and presented well. The kitchen is well stocked with equipment, linen and some food, coffee, tea, and sugar and with the hot water already on.
We recommend a couple of very minor repairs. The stove wall switch, the ensuite toilet seat rubber supports, and the flusher on the family toilet sometimes gets dislodged inside the tank.
These did not detract from our most wonderful stay. We were happy to sweep, mop, vacuum and clean at the end, and keep the worm farm well fed. Thank you.
We were unaware of any communication with the property manager, but accessing everything we needed and the house being so well prepared and welcoming is communication.
John & Phoebe's place is a nice place to stay. It was straight-forward to find, quiet and well maintained. Accessing the property was easy from the instructions and there was plenty of on-site parking. The beds were comfortable and the shower was pretty decent. It had a spacious kitchen with everything we needed for cooking. The one down-side was there were quite a lot of ants in the property in many of the rooms, which was less than ideal. The host did apologise for this, but apparently it's an on-going problem, which would have been nice to know about in advance. Just a heads up. Other than that though, it was perfectly pleasant.
Fantastic location, great view across Hope farmlands to snow-covered mountains. Only 5 minutes to Richmond shops. At the same time, also secluded and very quiet.
The Bach itself is very well appointed. Great fire. Rooms and beds very comfortable.
Owner easy to contact, quick responses.
Sheep and chickens a delight for kids.
Highly recommended.
The house is large with everything we needed. It was an added bonus having the fireplace (thanks for getting it ready for us).
Shower pressure is fantastic and location is quiet enough to be away from it all yet only just down the road from Richmond City Centre.
Will definitely stay again when in Nelson next time.
