St Andrews Common villa in Palmetto Dunes. Located exactly in the middle of the 16 mile long Hilton Head Island. Perfect access to everything. Private views on the 15th hole of the Fazio Golf Course. Wrap around deck with sunrise and daytime horizons. Several of our repeat guests have taken to calling it the "Tree House"; with it's views through the live oaks to the course. Make sure you view the walk-thru video in the Photo section above. It is the third "photo".
Dramatic vaulted ceiling with a master bedroom (King), a guest bedroom (twins) and a full sized loft sleeping two. RENOVATED KITCHEN, generous windows providing great light. Screened in breakfast area, WiFi, Hi Def TV, washer dryer. This is one of only a few oversized St. Andrews units. 1542 Sq. Feet with 3 separate and complete sleeping areas. Second floor, very quiet.
Community pool 75 yards away, biking trails, tennis and pickleball, 3/4 mile to the ocean. Beach shuttle available in season. An ideal family vacation spot and PET Friendly.
Palmetto Dunes features a world class tennis and pickleball center; and it's only a 10 minute walk away. If you are a golfer, it has it all. Three beautiful course within the Plantation: Arthur Hills, George Fazio and Robert Trent Jones, truly one of the Island's premier tracks.
Like to dine out? The immediate area features several fine restaurants within walking distance and the Island is a hot bed of ever changing options.

Second stay - we’ll be back!
Love this unit in Palmetto Dunes. Lots of space for our family of 4 to spread out. We really appreciate the updated kitchen and new floors in the living room and main bedroom. Very relaxing to sit on the deck with beautiful views of the golf course. Short walk to the pool. Neighbors were very friendly when we encountered them, but unit is private. Great bike paths through out the community. Can’t wait to return!

We are a couple from Boston who have been coming to Hilton Head since 2003. In search of an ideal year round climate we first owned a quarter share but wanted to set our own schedule and bring our dog. We bought in St. Andrews Common in 2007 and have enjoyed it ever since. The Island is a golfer's paradise with amazing choices of club and cost. A deal can always be found. And of course, the Ocean. Only 3/4's of a mile to the beach is fabulous!
We were not prepared for the range of dining options; both in volume and variety. A hidden bonus: Living in the city we love to walk to dinner instead of getting in the car. From St. Andrews Common we can walk to the cluster of restaurants just outside the gate. It includes, Thai, Southwestern, Seafood, Italian and American.
We have recently discovered Picklball and love it. It's a ten minute walk to the Palmetto Dunes Tennis Center-and now they have included Pickleball in their name since so many courts have been re-purposed. Bike paths abound and we are located exactly at the mid-island point so access to everything is as good as it gets; by bike or car.

Why they chose this property

1762 offers good size (1543 square feet, two bedrooms and a sleeping loft for two) cathedral ceilings and walls decorated with French prints. (Linda is a retired French teacher.) There is a screened in porch for dining and a wrap around deck for dining and cocktails and coffee. The views are what sold us on this property. Many units on Hilton Head are nice but focus on parking lots and common property. 1762 has incredibly private views of the 15th hole of the Fazio course in Palmetto Dunes. Being on the perimeter of the community there are no other buildings visible from the 180 degree view from the deck.
It is a 75 yard walk to the large community pool, which is close enough for convenience but just far enough for quiet.
