Our waterfront home has 180 degree views from both floors. Our lower deck and stairs gets you to the water. Parksville Bay has a large tidal flat and the view is always changing. We have an eagle tree in front; watch the eagles fishing. The house was fully renovated and has a fresh modern layout and decor. We are only minutes into the city center where you can find all the amenities you need. Parksville is only 30 minutes north of Nanaimo.
The house is spacious, modern and comfortable. The living room and main kitchen is on the second floor which makes for amazing views. A large covered deck off the kitchen makes of great outdoor eating rain or shine. A second deck 1/2 down the bank provides a great place for solitude and wildlife watching. Our family room has a small kitchenette with microwave, sink, bar fridge and breakfast bar. There is an outdoor hot tub that seats 6 adults and 2 bbqs.
Parksville has world class beaches. The City of Parksville describes our beaches as follows ....
There’s a reason Parksville is known as Canada’s Riviera. Few beaches outside Mexico and the Caribbean compare with our kilometres of near perfect sandy beaches at Parksville Bay and Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park. With long sunny days, water temperatures may be as high as 20°C in the shallows and the flat beaches are safe for everyone in the family, even at high tide.
Beach access points are provided for the benefit of residents and the City’s many visitors. The most prominent is from the Community Park, a beachfront park of 15.7 hectares (39 acres). Other official access points are located at the ends of Doehle Street (Note: this is the access point 2 blocks from our home), Sutherland Crescent, McMillan Street and Rushton Avenue (Note: Rushton Avenue access is one lot from our house).
2 night minimum stay in offseason and 4 night min June/July and August.
