We really enjoyed our stay for our anniversary. It is a very cozy place to stay and pretty much all we needed as far as dishes, etc was there. Would highly recommend. I would just warn anyone who would want to stay that cell service is pretty scarce throughout the whole region, but that doesn't reflect on the cabin or the owner at all. Just something to be aware of. Great place to stay!
Had a great time staying here and would stay again in the future. Has all the amenities you want out of a cabin with close access to essentials if necessary. Please take note: as far as cell service goes, calls and texts work fine but data does not until you get back to town, so plan accordingly.
The cabin was perfect! We loved how it was back off the road and not surrounded by other cabins! Was very clean and cozy, we will most certainly return in the future!
Nice clean secluded cabin. Had this cabin for 5 days. It was nice to disconnect from everything. We were there during some storms and the electric went in and out the first two days but it didn’t bother us as no one can control the weather. We did cut it a day short as we had an emergency with the dogs at home. Again no one’s fault. If we get the opportunity we would definitely stay here again!

Great little getaway for 2 and dogs. Nice cabin, secluded, with a hot tub.
The cabin is perfectly located on a qiet road in the middle of a large wooded area. It is not visible from the road and provides perfect privacy. There is no Wifi as described, but plenty of maps and brochures. It doesn't have a map that shows where exactly the cabin is located, so make sure to download your Google maps locally on your phone for easy navigation in or out.I gave four stars instead of five because the AC unit wasn"t blowing cold air, and it was 96 degrees outside.
This was a great location for our short 1 night trip to Hocking hills. We loved how it is set back from the street and secluded. The cabin is very nice inside and the hot tub is great! Hope to stay again in the future.
Cabin was fantastic. Cozy, clean, and a great secluded location. Owner was very responsive to get checked in and we had a wonderful time. Would definitely come back!

The cabin was beautiful! Very clean, very private and so comfortable!! It was perfect for 2 and close to a wonderful winery and only a few minutes from the parks. Would highly recommend!
Very cute little cabin. Very close to the sites for Hocking Hills which was our main reason to visit the area. Host was responsive if we needed any information. Had a great time relaxing and hiking with my wife.

New Year Trip
The cabin was just the right size for us. Everything was fine except for the bathtowels. They really need to be replaced with larger, and nicer towels. Also it would be nice if they had wineglasses available. The setting was beautiful with the snow.
The owner responded quickly when i reached out, he gave all information i could hope for. The cabin was beautiful and stocked way better then i anticipated even down to DVD selections which was amazing! The hot tub was perfect. the location was isolated which is what i was looking for yet close to the beautiful hiking trails nearby. It was everything i was looking for amd worth every penny!
The cabin is set way back in a pretty wooded area. So peaceful and relaxing. All the comforts of home. The hot tub was added bonus. The country side is gorgeous. Perfect fall getaway!!
Wonderful getaway for my husband and I’s 19th anniversary. Very secluded. We hardly heard maybe 10 cars go down the road the entire time (3 days)And even they were at a distance.
Bed was comfy and a queen. I was worried because the pictures looked like a full bed. Plan to come back again.
We had a delightful stay in Black Bear cabin. Over two days, we explored Ash Cave, Old Man’s Cave, Cedar Falls, and the Rock House. We also visited two wineries, Hocking Hills Winery in Logan, and Le Petit Chevalier which was so close to the cabin! We also made good use of the hot tub. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner at the cabin. For our lunchtime meal we explored the restaurants we as we drove from attraction to attraction. The cabin was quite adequately stocked for cooking utensils, as well as with towels and bed linens.
It was our 20th anniversary and we have 8 kids. Got a baby sitter and headed to hocking hills. The cabin is beautiful and completely secluded. No Wi-Fi and just enough cell service to make a call and nothing else. It was perfect. Beautiful environment and not far from all the stuff that makes hocking hills one of our favorite places. Stop thinking about it and just go.
To start to say this place was great is an understatement! Was the perfect place for my wife and I’s first wedding anniversary. Check in and check out were very simple. The evenings and mornings were relaxing as could be with the location being very secluded. Cabin was very very clean and comfy all the way around. We look forward to making this a tradition and going back every year.
I seen some negative comments leading up to our stay which is generally just a year say. To say those comments were the furthest from the truth would be an understatement!! If your looking for that perfect cabin tucked back in the woods experience. This is the place to be!
The property was very secluded and private which was wonderful and the main reason we picked this cabin. The outdoor hot tub was really nice. There were a few cleanliness issues, dirt and fur in the corners, ripped up living room rug corners, broken end table leg, ants in the kitchen and bathroom, broken end table lamps. Nothing major that made us not want to stay, just things noticed. The next day a wasp had somehow gotten in and promptly stung my wife at breakfast right in her face. We used the supplied wasp spray and killed it. There were lots of wood boring bees eating the edges of the porch and a wasps nest in the electrical box right near the stairs at the property. The picnic table was a disaster and did not seem safe to sit on, it was literally falling apart as were the supplied chairs- the seat of one was completely cracked. Thankfully we used our own chairs we had brought. The bed was not very comfortable, it didn't seem to have a real mattress just a foam mattress which was not at all breathable. The kitchen had everything we needed and the T.V. was awesome. The shower was very tight and the only two mirrors in the cabin were very very small, and only showed your face not you full body. Small changes would really help spruce this cabin right up. Not trying to pick the cabin apart just sharing about our stay. We would love to come back again sometime.
