About this property

Absolutely spectacular. THE ONLY private indoor saltwater pool-equipped vacation oasis in Nova Scotia! The Land Yacht is a massive 6,000 sq.' 5 bedroom, 4.5 bath home offering 700' of accessible and direct ocean frontage on St. Margaret's Bay. Only a 20 minute drive to Halifax. Abundant social and private spaces make The Land Yacht the ideal choice for family getaways.

Too many features to list, but notable are the wraparound glass solarium, hardwood floors throughout, open great room / dining room with soaring tongue and groove ceilings plus a 2 story stone fireplace. Not to mention the indoor saltwater pool complete with rope swing! (Yes, the pool is heated to 29C/84F year-round!) The living area is open to the gourmet kitchen with African granite counters, fabulous eating island with lazy susan, Jenn-Air cooktop, wine fridge, built-in wall ovens and solid maple cabinetry.

The two bedrooms on the main floor both offer ensuites, and enjoy panoramic ocean views. (Both have king size beds.) A half bath is located on the main floor as well as a full bath located in the pool room.
On the walk out lower level there are three bedrooms of varying sizes. The first has limited views and is perfect for late sleepers. (King size bed.) The second and third feature breathtaking panoramic views of the ocean.
One of these bedrooms is set up as a huge family suite and sleeps four to seven. (Two queens plus a kids loft that sleeps three.) The other is equipped with two day beds that convert into two kings. These three bedrooms share a huge bathroom.

There is abundant sea life to enjoy - osprey, dolphins, sea otters... What more could you ask for?

We had an amazing weekend!

Beautiful property . Wonderful house for large groups . Pool was amazing , my grandchildren spent the whole weekend in the water ! . We had a bonfire both nights( great that wood was provided ) We bbq for several meals ,which was nice and clean . Amazing retreat to spend amazing family time Thank you Shirley Cooke

Breathtaking

Myself, my husband and our 4 children stayed at this beautiful house for our March Break. The house is gorgeous, it has everything you need to entertain all ages. It is fully loaded and the hosts were always available if we needed anything at all. We are extremely happy with our experience and the kids cried leaving the house (the pool was a huge hit!!!) We will absolutely book again!

The Land Yacht is fabulous for our group of 13. The view is second to none. So bright and spacious.

This was our second stay. Overall pleased with how well stocked the house is. The owners have thought of pretty much everything. (Couldn’t find a wire whisk) lol. The only down side is the water pressure. I don’t remember it being quite as low last year but for a long weekend the positives far out weigh the negative. One of our favourite places to have our winter getaway. Thank you once again for being so accommodating.

Perfect for our large gathering

We enjoyed our stay at the Land Yacht. There was plenty of room for our large group. The house was well stocked with every kitchen item you might need, games, towels, you name it. We enjoyed the pool, and especially the fireplace. It was a perfect place to be storm stayed.
