About this property

Pristine and private beachfront escape just 150 small steps to the sand!

Situated across the dunes of the Sunshine Coast's best kept secret, the pristine Marcoola Beach, the Surf Club Apartments take the prime position on the Marcoola Esplanade. The esplanade itself is located in the residential part of Marcoola, away from the high rise buildings and main highway of the town centre. Public transport is frequent and a two minute stroll away, with buses able to take you south to Maroochydore or north to Noosa - so you can leave your car behind!

The complex has three floors, with Apartment 24 located up just one flight of stairs, and directly across a quiet street from the beach (literally 150 steps to the sand!) and to a well appointed playground.

This is a perfect location for a family holiday, or a quiet and romantic getaway.

With the Marcoola Surf Club across the road, the patrolled Marcoola Beach provides a safe place to swim in the ocean, and afterwards, you can go upstairs to listen to some live music or enjoy a drink and a meal, with options ranging from spectacular seafood, to burgers, pizza, steak and chips.

The apartment sleeps four, with a queen bed and two single beds.
It has been fully refurbished for a family, featuring a lounge room nook, a reading area for the adults, a dining area, two bathrooms and a full sized washing machine in the laundry. Ceiling fans are in every room to keep the ocean breeze moving through.

Although there are many restaurants in the area to choose from, but the fully appointed kitchen will also mean that you can happily eat at home with both Woolworths and Coles delivering to your door. A coffee machine is also provided with pods so you can take your time in the mornings.

This is not your usual apartment with uncomfortable furniture and ugly prints - the original art celebrates the region, and whilst the decor is stylish, it is also extremely comfortable and functional and you will find there is everything that you need to enjoy your family stay.

Available for use during your stay is:
* a bike in case you would like to make a quick trip to the shops (100 metres) to get the local paper;
* foam surfboards X2 to tempt you to test your skills on the water;
* a boogy board is provided for fun in the white water;
* two wave skis for the uncommon days when the ocean is flat;
* chairs and an umbrella will let you relax whilst you watch your kids swim;
* sporting equipment in case you would like a game of beach cricket or footy;
* or if you want to take it slower, there are buckets and spades that can be used by sandcastle builders!

Inside, you will find a stereo with CD's, and televisions are located in the living area and the main bedroom. And if you want to take a break from the sun and sand, books and board games will make staying in fun for the family too. There is even a blue ray player and a selection of movies, which can also be hired from the newsagent 200 metres away.

The balcony has a BBQ, table where you can watch people go by, and a large hammock. From the hammock you are not visible to the street but can still can hear the ocean and see the stars - which is a really nice way to spend a summer night under solar lights.

The complex has two swimming pools, with one right below the balcony, so you can sip a coffee on the veranda whilst still keeping an eye on older children. Pool noodles and balls will keep them interested in the water!

On Friday nights, a two minute walk will take you to "Foodies" Eat Street Markets (a must do!) and to the Farmers Market on Saturday mornings. Breakfast, coffee, restaurants and a convenience store are also just a minute's walk away! A picnic blanket and set is available to be borrowed if you want to join the rest of the locals in the parkland across the road on Friday nights. Literally just across the road is the Marcoola surf club, with dining, pokies, raffles, live music and a bar. There are also video game consoles for the kids and uninterrupted views of the ocean.

And as for the beach ... you will not find better!! You can take an uninterrupted walk along the sand for six kilometres to the north and ten kilometres to the south from your beach entry. On a busy day, you might see 30 people along the beach stretch ... so if you are looking for hustle and bustle, this is not the place for you! Height restrictions in the area mean that from the beach you can not see buildings or have their shaddows. The water is warm, year round and there are so, so many seashells!! The beach is flagged with lifeguards for your safety. If you are lucky, sometimes, even whales and dolphins can be spotted playing off shore and fishing from the sand will let you catch huge fish from the pristine and healthy ocean environment. A stroll along the beach can also take you to a number of lookouts which provide amazing photo opportunities. Keep your eyes out for the black cockatoos and sea eagles that nest nearby, and the resident brush turkeys that think they are pets.

So, whether you would like to set up camp and relax and explore on foot, or travel around to experience all the Sunshine Coast has to offer, this is a nice base for your adventure.

Marcoola Beach is located just eight minutes drive to Coolum's restaurants and golf courses; and 20 minutes to Hastings Street, Noosa. If you are flying in, it is only an eight minute drive from the airport to the apartment, or if driving, off street car parking is available.

Quiet getaway in fantastic location
Perfect location for exploring the region. Fantastic beach. Apartment was beautifully decorated and nothing was spared to make our stay comfortable. After a longer than expected trip to get here, the chocolates and beer were gratefully consumed. Pantry and fridge well stocked. Rachel is an absolutely fantastic host.

Escape to the sun
Lovely relaxing break for week, neighbourhood is very chilled and quiet but we enjoyed some great meals and coffee options close by. We hired an Uber carshare for a couple of days to give us options to get to eumundi mkts but otherwise happily walked or grabbed a bus to get around. Pizza and coffee at Bulli were great, surf club great for meals and drinks and Sole is a lovely seafood resto all within a few mins walk. Unit was really well equipped, including pantry supplies etc, clean and comfortable. Communication with Rachel was excellent throughout. Will happily stay again if opportunity arises.

A Great Stay
Rachael's unit is very quiet, clean and comfortable, with many extras generously supplied. It is on the first floor level, with great balcony views of the beachfront parkland and vegetation directly across the esplanade road, which is not at all busy. Plenty of parking and storage is available. We hope to stay again sometime.

Hidden Gem
Marcoola is a beautiful hidden gem, that isn’t as busy as the other beaches which is awesome. Our host Rachel went above and beyond any other host that I have dealt with. She provided us with so much extra items that we we definitely weren’t expecting, from Happy New Year head bands and glow sticks to fresh bread and a well stocked pantry. Rachel made sure we were happy when we arrived and made sure we got home safe. Rachel’s place is absolutely beautiful, the lounges and beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for the 4 of us. The furniture was lovely. The washing machine was great and the clothes dried in no time on the balcony. The location is right across the road from Marcoola beach. There is food markets on across the road on Friday night.

Beautiful quiet appt with easy access to airport and surrounding areas
Rachel was a dream host. All step by step assistance to get to the property and to access it. The welcome was wonderful with essentials like bread and forgotten emergency bits like sunscreen and bite cream. They was not a need for anything. It was like staying in a hotel room. The area is so quiet, with occasional bus going past, that gives you access to the busier areas surrounding. The beach was spectacular though being a bit stormy during our stay, it was rough and may not be appropriate for little kids but the SLSC with the flags is literally opposite. If the beach is a little too rough the pools are there, the one outside this apartment not being used once in the week we were there, so it’s essentially your own private pool if you are inclined. There is a convenience store and three cafes/ SLSC to dine from which we’re all really good. Additionally you can get a car service to drive you to the surrounding towns for more dinning options too. We literally had a “resting” stay and so we made use of the buses and didn’t feel the need to have a car but if you’re planning on really exploring a car might make things a little easier, with car space available off street. We would love to thank Rachel for providing such a wonder stay, we will be back!
