My friends and I stayed to celebrate my bachelor trip before my wedding. The rental was very homey and had everything we needed for our trip! It was comfortable and relaxing!
After an initial check-in confusion, our stay was very pleasant and comfortable. The host offered us help on restaurant choices and left plenty of snacks and treats. The bed was comfortable and the other rooms were cozy and attractive.
Gorgeous lake view from a bedroom. Our flight arrival time changed several times. Our hostess was very accommodating, so we had no problem gaining access to the property.

we were gone most of the day. Nice to com home and watch some TV and go to bed. Quiet area, comfortable seating inside.
I don't use air freshener,so i unpluged the one in the living room.
We were just expecting your typical VRBO.Was not expecting the kitchen and bathroom to be full of personal items. Almost felt like we had invaded grandma’s house and were prying into her cabinets and drawers. We did enjoy the living room space. Paring down the knickknacks etc might help.
The location was excellent, the accommodations spacious, and the owner was very accommodating and easy to get a hold of. It was warm and the air conditioning didn't reach to the second bedroom, which made for a bit of an uncomfortable night. I know all the other reviews said it was very clean, so perhaps there was just an oversight but my friend and I ended up cleaning the bathroom and kitchen before we would use it. If it weren't for that it would have been 5 stars.

Hi Danielle, we're glad you enjoyed your stay overall! We passed your feedback along to the owner who wanted to share the following: I was surprised by your comments on the cleanliness of the apartment. I personally wipe down all surfaces with disinfectant, paying special care to the kitchen and bathroom. I do leave butter, ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise in the refrigerator for the convenience of the guests, as well as coffee and creamer. I also leave fresh fruit or snacks for guests to enjoy. Lastly, I always vacuum the whole apartment before I leave. Thanks for your feedback, I will continue to work hard to provide guests with a five-star experience!

The rental home appears to be that someone lives there and leaves when it is rented out. Not cleaned well and food left in fridge and freezer and personal items in medicine cabinet. Didn't feel comfortable staying there and would not recommend this rental home.

Hi Frank, we always appreciate hearing from our guests. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: We use a cleaning service to have the home professionally cleaned to COVID standards before each guest's arrival. The cleaner sends us photos after each cleaning to ensure they all meet the COVID standards in all rooms. To provide convenience for our guests to freely use, we offer an array of essentials in the medicine cabinet such as medications, razors, soaps, and other miscellaneous necessities. As the kitchen is fully stocked, we also provide condiments and snacks as a courtesy to our guests. We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests. Thanks for letting us know about your stay.
This property seemed as if someone was living there and just left right before we arrived. Every drawer and cabinet was full of personal items. The fridge had old food. The kitchen was not clean. There were decorative items, fake flowers, nick nacks everywhere. We were told by the guy who checked us in that we could use the basement for the washer/dryer and second bathroom. But when we went down there it was an absolute mess. The bathroom had a pair of shoes by the shower as if someone had just been there. We were worried about people coming and going as the door to the basement only had a flimsy hook lock. We were so uncomfortable that we packed up our stuff and left. We didn’t even spend one night. We felt unsafe and the listing was not as expected. When I reached out to the host she said the basement was not available for our use and we shouldn’t have went down there. But the man that checked us in told us we could use it. Ultimately our safety was top priority so we left.
House was very clean and comfortable. Decent location, downtown and the lake front are walkable from the house. Garage was not available for our stay. I was not entirely comfortable with a person living upstairs but it wasn’t a big problem, we never saw them but we could hear footsteps. TV and internet service were not good.

Quiet and comfortable
Decent place especially since we booked so close to the holiday. Quieter than expected for an apartment.
Didn’t care for items left in the fridge and freezer but otherwise clean place.
Fairly easy walk to the lake but you do need to cross a fairly busy road. Red Arrow park/beach was a nice place to spend an afternoon and a quick drive.
Deb, the guest contact, was very personable and communicated well.
We were disappointed to find brochures outdated making it difficult to plan .
I prefer to communicate through the VRBO app but the property is managed by Evolve and it took them over a week to get back to me about a billing question. Also made it difficult to plan ahead for events in the area.
Wonderful experience. So cozy. So comfortable. Owner is hands on and tremendously helpful. Feels like you walk into her home with all the touches that make you feel welcome.
My husband and I traveled to Wisconsin to attend a Green Bay Packers game. Renting the apartment was much more affordable than getting a hotel room in Green Bay. The apartment had plenty of room, and we had a great time. I would definitely stay there again.
Peg, the owner, was a perfect host. She met us at the property and gaveus a tour. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. We had three adulkts in our group and we had plenty of space to spread out. Peg has thought of everything to make your stay pleasant. You can tell that Peg takes great pride in her property. We will be going back again.
As an added bonus, Peg encouraged us to help ourselves to her tomatoes in the garden.
The owner was nice and generously allowed me to check-in early. This was a plus because I did have to deep clean and disinfect the kitchen and bathroom which left me feeling like the cleaning fee needed to be refunded. The apartment itself is in the most charming neighborhood which was my favorite thing about the place. Overall I did feel that I could only award a three star rating because I felt a little frustrated and overwhelmed with all of the personal property in places that should be left empty for someone whom has paid to rent a space. For example the bathroom cabinet was completely full leaving no room for my toiletries. Simply removing all of the personal property and opening up storage space for the guests in each of the rooms would immediately help the space feel open and more inviting.

So bad we left early
We bought this stay for my parents 40th wedding anniversary as my mom grew up in Manitowoc and they were married nearby. The pictures looked inviting, but the place was not what it appeared to be. I had reached out to the email provided twice in the weeks leading up to the stay to see if the manager could help coordinate something nice for my parents, but received no response. When my parents arrived, the place was filthy. It looks like someone had been living there up until an hour before and just left for the weekend. The fridge and freezer were full of food, including a carton full of broken eggs. There were crumbs all over the toaster. The oven (inside and out) was so dirty that my parents chose not to use it. My mom had to scrub the kitchen and bathroom floor so their shoes wouldn't stick. There was even a poop stain on the outside of the toilet. The plates left on the kitchen table as decor had food caked on them and hair in the bowl. They left a night early because it was in such bad shape. I will be following up with Evolve directly to provide photo documentation.
The owner manager was welcoming and generous. The south facing deck was nice to relax on during our early October stay.
Manitowoc has things going on all the time, great restaurants, the marine museum, the lake shore, sunrise on a clear morning. Good time and thank you Deb.
This is a really cool place. A couple of points of info: you’ll really have to drive to the water. You can see it but it’s too far to walk. There may be some food in the fridge; feel free to use it. The owner is great and very helpful and easy to reach.
Excellent location! Easy walk to the best of downtown Manitowoc, but very quiet neighborhood. Bike and kayak rentals in walking distance. 2-3 miles to the main shopping area in Manitowoc. Easy drive to Kohler (Go golfers!) or Green Bay (Go Pack!)
Well-maintained older home; mix of modern and period furnishings. Cleanliness would have been 5 stars, if not for the carpets. If the original wood floors are refinished, an easy 5 stars!
I grew up in Two Rivers (nearby), and have stayed in most of the hotels/motels available in the area, while visiting family, over the past 40 years. If you value space, privacy, location, and price, this is your property.
I will happily stay here, the next time I visit family!
We enjoyed our stay at this cute Manitowoc house. The location was wonderful and allowed us to walk by the lake and to coffee shops and restaurants. We would stay here again!
