Absolutely wonderful house and property! Great for quiet downtime relaxing and enjoying the view or as base for day trips. Central to MDI up the coast and Camden/Rockland down. Hosts were very helpful and extremely responsive. Would stay again and highly recommend!
The location of this house is off the beaten path, which was perfect for us. The views of the point are fantastic and we loved being able to walk out to the private island and explore during low tide. The circular wall of windows took full advantage of the view was great so we felt like we were outside even during the rainy times. The house was equipped nicely with all the essentials including shampoo, conditioner and soap in the bathrooms, and some kitchen extras like basic spices, olive oil and condiments. Responses to all our questions were almost immediate and very helpful giving us recommendations for restaurants, hikes, etc. We would definitely stay at this house again.
The location is amazing, secluded with spectacular views but relatively short distances to Belfast, Acadia and everything in between. Our family had an amazing time and we hope to come back soon. Our kids loved the massive yard, playground and rocky Maine beach.
I recommend this property to anyone looking for a serene coastal escape. The home is spacious, well equipped and with breathtaking views. You’ll never want to leave It was private and secluded but still close enough to local amenities for day trips and shopping for provisions. The host was gracious as well.

We booked this property to celebrate Christmas with our family. It is a wonderful place! The location was beautiful, the house was spacious and amazing. We had an outstanding time - a holiday we will long remember! The host was very helpful & easy to work with. Can’t say enough good things about this property.
2nd stay for us at this location in 2024 and it was fantastic. Such a great house in such a great location. Isolation, peace and quiet, the sound of wind and waves, the stars at night, nature, animals, eagles...no need for any TV at all.
Love this spot and we are hoping we can get back sometime soon.
Thank you for having us.
We had a terrific family experience during our week. The property was as described and provided breathtaking views from every window. Seating was plentiful and the yard size enabled all types of outdoor activities. If you are looking for a secluded getaway stay this is the place.

Hi Jeffrey,
Thank you so much again for staying with us. We are so happy that you had a wonderful experience and enjoyed your relaxing Maine vacation. We hope to see you again soon!
We suspected from the listing that this would be a special place, but it was even better than we hoped. The house was spacious and well equipped. The beds comfortable and the kitchen equipped with whatever you might need. Beautiful fireplace with wood ready to go and then, twice a day, the ability to walk out to and around the island and look for shells and check out tidal pools to your heart’s content. A truly special place and a nature lover’s dream. Amazing views!!
Not easy to find something else to say about this property that other reviewers haven't already covered. In short, it is a spectacular property. Although nothing is truly unique, this is pretty special. Isolated and quiet, comfortable, scenic with a panoramic view of water. The island with walkway that appears and disappears with the tides, almost as you are watching, is the most interesting part. An immature bald eagle flew past the window the first morning, as we were looking out at the island. Even in the middle of the Winter, it is the place to be in this part of Maine. The manager is responsive and just about everything you need (except food!) is available, even if snowed in. We will keep this home on our list for the future for sure.
Absolutely stunning setting on Penobscot Bay! Water on two sides of the property and a view from the living room that encompassed about 230 degrees. Clear night allowed full view of the Milky Way. The setting is as quiet as it is beautiful, the house set up worked well for our son’s family of four and one set of grandparents. Our host was superbly responsive. . We will plan to return at some point in the future.
The location, view, house were all wonderful. There were several things that could be improved: Master shower was moldy and needed cleaning or recaulking, front door lock was complicated and we were unable to get in one night although manager arrived within minutes to let us in and suggested we leave the house unlocked when we left, although instructions were followed we could not get any of the tvs to work, kitchen pitcher was cracked and needs to be replaced, the patch to the shore had very unstable railing making it difficult to maneuver down to the water especially for seniors, we did not realize here was no upstairs bathroom making it difficult for anyone sleeping up there needing to go to the bathroom during the night.

In response to the review, we would like to clarify all concerns reported by the guest. For starters, the lock functions just fine, the guest simply could not grasp the button on the side of the door and the turn of the key. No other guests have had issues with the lock, directions for which were included. I also gave them a one on one lesson on how to use it, in person. The master shower was not moldy, though it is older and in need of grout and caulking work. One pitcher in the kitchen had a tiny chip. There was another to choose from in perfect condition. Overall, our kitchen is very well stocked. The report about the path is somewhat true. We have had an unusually rainy season and it has done some damage to the path, which needs to be repaired when the ground is not saturated. The claim that the tvs were not working is also unusual. We have cable and smart tvs. The guest should have reported any issues/ need for assistance and we would have been happy to resolve their difficulties. (Read, user error.) Lastly, the guest asked prior to booking about an upstairs bathroom and was told there was not one. To later report that as a flaw seems a bit unfair, as it was clearly stated in the notes back and forth as the guest was considering their stay at Rocky Point. In sum, our home has stunning views, is very comfortable and well equipped. We are extremely responsive to the needs of our guests. Read the other reviews, and also note that this guest gave us 5 stars in spite of her/their complaints.
Spectacular Property; Some Key Amenities Not Accurate
This property is absolutely stunning, beyond description in its location, placement, and the enthralling bay/ocean views, the huge amount of rocky beach to explore...with a private island...with a bald eagle nest. We did not turn the TV on once, opting instead to simply be quiet and look out the windows and be outside, the pristine shore of the Sears Island Reserve right there, almost no houses in sight for miles. This is a magnificent, truly unique location, absolutely perfect for isolation, peace, tranquility, just lovely. Bring binoculars and your telescope, if you have one.
That being said, note a few things in the listing that are not accurate. And this is after notifying the property manager of the inaccuracies. The Amenities list says "housekeeper included." There is no housekeeper available. The Amenities list also says, under Pool & Spa, that there is a "spa whirlpool." Again, no. There is no pool, no spa, no whirlpool, no hot tub. The house itself does not even offer a bathtub.
We loved the house, warm, spacious, very comfortable in all ways.
Y’all! This place is amazing. So many places to explore. A walk out to the island is a must. The whole area is peaceful and quiet. Jillian is easy to communicate with. We had a great time, hoping to return.
This property is absolutely amazing! The view each morning is the most peaceful one could hope for. The house itself leaves one wanting for nothing. Extremely clean, comfortable beds, and a very unique layout that provides the opportunity for both gathering together or hunkering away. After staying at 10 various locations throughout Maine, we have resolved to only stay here. Side note: the proximity to both Acadia and the Mid-coast Camden area is perfect.
