About this property

Toes in the sand - 1/2 Block to the Beach

Every aspect of this home has been completely rebuilt from the foundation up. In early 2016 we took on the monumental task of taking the existing structure down to the foundation. We meticulously removed everything between the foundation and the roof structure expanding and re-configuring the floor plan. The end result was an efficient 2 bedroom 2 bath beach house with top end finishes that lives sophisticated but comfortable. Walls, windows, kitchen, baths, fireplace, flat screen TV (Premium Channels) Herring bone patterned floors, Mahogany doors, Quartz counters, Stainless steel appliances, French doors open to front patio.

This 2 bedroom was perfect with lots of patio space to bar-b-que and play games. It has a two car driveway and is a few minutes walk to the beach, restaurants, coffee shops, small market, and shopping. We had a great stay.

We had a wonderful stay in this property, which was just as reflected in the photos and is in a great location very close to the beach. The owner was a stellar communicator and the property was exceptionally clean and well appointed. The outside patio and the availability of parking on the property were fabulous amenities. Not the most pleasant guest to host. The guest had difficulty reading and following information and instructions that were readily available. We provide all pertinent details such as check-in time, access codes, and property features in advance—but it’s important that guests take the time to review /read them. For example, the listing clearly states that the property does not have air conditioning.That is why guest could not find it. We also do not provide written receipts, as all payments are handled directly through the booking platform. The front door lock is simple if you follow the directions/video. Agan you must read. Communication throughout the stay was poor. We regret that your companion did not join you, and hope future stays elsewhere are more to your liking.

This is a really great beach bungalow. Incredibly comfortable, clean, and great location. I gave it a low family friendly rating because I think adults would enjoy it more. I do think kids would have fun too but the size of the home is on the smaller scale so if you brought kids with toys you might feel a little overwhelmed. My opinion, I’m sure families have enjoyed it. I would stay here again. It’s very close to the beach and very close to some cute breakfast and coffee shops. The patio area is divine. I loved it. It’s in a very walkable neighborhood which is even better. My only struggle was the doorknob on the house. We figured it out but it was complicated.

We loved our stay here. The two bedrooms were perfect for our family and worked great for small children. There were family games and kids plates etc. the front yard porch area is just amazing and so spacious. We loved spending the day at the beach and then grilling and spending the rest of our night outside in the front yard area. Then a quick walk to the beach for sunset! Town is also a quick walk away as well. The house is on a quiet street and literally a 4 minute walk to the beach. They also have all the beach stuff you could need (sand toys, chairs, towels, boogie boards). Also amazing that it had its own parking so we never had to worry about parking. Such a great place and we love being in OB!

The location is five star. And because of that we intend on returning and would have some strong suggestions to make for the owner. Hooks or towel holders put up in the bathroom hooks on the back of the door are not helpful as you can’t reach him when you’re done showering. Maybe a new cleaning crew because the place was not clean. The blankets that were in the basket outside were soaked and filthy dirty strongly urge them to be stored inside once they’re washed. With the small dishwasher, small kitchen plates would be helpful and a vinegar cycle on that washer dishwasher would probably be extremely helpful as well. I really believe that the cleanliness was a little far for the unit. The unit is so cute and the location is fabulous. I just was nervous about sitting on the sofa and pillows and the blanket just wasn’t sure about how clean they really were. We enjoyed ourselves. We will come back just not confident in the cleanliness pretty much overall.

Let’s start with the fact that you jumped the gate 3.5 hours before your reservation and trespassed onto the property while we had a current guest — even after you were told that you would not be able to check in until your check-in time. Considering the house was left a complete mess honestly makes me laugh. The outdoor blankets are exactly that — outdoor blankets. Yes, they should have been switched out, but that’s not an excuse for what you did or how you left our home. We have small dishes, and we also provide dish soap, sponges, and a start button on the dishwasher — so there’s really no reason things should have been left dirty.

OB hideaway

We were visiting our kids who live in OB and Mission Hills and this place was perfect for us, very close to the beach, shops , downtown OB and the courtyard was a great place for us to gather. The place itself is modern and nicely put together with care. Definitely come back!

This property is unique because it has been completely rebuilt from the ground up and located only 1/2 block from world famous Ocean Beach. Our guest get to enjoy this fantastic location as well as every modern convenience in a stylish beach bungalow. The beach lots are typically tight but this one is large by comparison. This beach house rests at the back of the lot which allows for a generous amount of outdoor space to relax and entertain. We do not accept changes to calendar 7 days prior to arrival.
