Modern large 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath Lakefront home set on 8.5 wooded acres with 475 feet of waterfront. Western facing on Lake Wateree north of Camden S.C. Private sand beach with gradual slope for children’s swimming. Deep water dock for your boat. Includes use of 2 seater kayak and a single seat kayak.

So much fun

This property was great! The owners were very accommodating and allowed us early entry. The AC broke on our last day and even though there wasn’t much we could do, we made it work. It was exactly what we needed. Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful Family Getaway!

My family and I had a fantastic weeklong vacation in the McKay home. The property had an abundance of amenities. We enjoyed fishing off the dock, kayaking, roasting marshmallows at the fire pit and when the rain came, we spent hours in the game room. The kitchen was well stocked with any cooking utensils needed as we did not go out to eat the entire week. The most delightful experience was the art décor of the home. The home was filled with art pieces created by the owner and their daughter. During our stay, we seen deer, several bald eagles and multiple species of butterflies in front of the home. Ross was a pleasure to work with! He provided easy check-in and check-out instructions as well as great communication from the day we booked until the day we checked out. Our family will definitely return to the McKay home as it’s the best we have stayed in during our past 16 years of going to lake Wateree. Highly recommended!!!

Wonderful Getaway!

We booked this home to escape an approaching Hurricane. Ross was very easy to work with. He was extremely patient with me in a stressful situation and very timely in communicating. The home and the property are both absolutely Beautiful!!! And well equipped and clean! We did not want for anything. My pups loved the lake and walks down the quiet country roads. We look forward to a trip back under better circumstances! Thank you again Ross, for all of your help, and for sharing your lovely home with us!!

Private and beautiful!

Ross's property was amazing in every way! The location is very private, and the house is beautiful! The pictures are very accurate...the house is just lovely with everything you could need! The artwork throughout was really beautiful. We loved having the beach to swim off of and the dogs were able to walk right out into the water without having to jump off the dock into deep water. We really enjoyed making a fire at the firepit overlooking the lake and the gorgeous sunsets! We had a small temperature issue with the AC not working properly and the owner took care of it without us even having to ask! The beds and furniture were comfortable and the layout was perfect! I can't say enough wonderful things about this property! A perfect summer getaway!

Family fun

This is the 3rd year our family and pets have stayed. It’s hard to find rentals that allow pets and we consider our pets family too. The grandchildren love the basement with all the fun games and space they can play. Of course the lake is awesome. All kids and grown ups love tubing and knee boarding. Hope to come back next year to add skiing for the grands since they mastered the knee board. So much fun. The location is very private and the house is very spacious and well equipped with all you ever need. Great family get away. Never disappoints. Thank you to the McKays for another great vacation.

A perfect vacation at a perfect property

Our stay was perfect and easily ranks among our top three vacations of all time. Bringing our two dogs added immensely to the wonderful experience. The house is amazing, and if you’re seeking privacy and solitude, this is the place for it. The location and expansiveness of the property made us feel like we were on our own island. Tucked away just inside a cove, we enjoyed breathtaking sunsets each evening as the property faces west. We spent much of our time lounging on the floating mat available at the house. One of the highlights of our stay was spotting an eagle on several occasions as it perched in the trees near the dock. The sandy beach was perfect for sitting under the umbrellas to escape the sun when needed. Inside, the house is beautiful, spacious, and equipped with everything you need. We never felt like we were lacking anything. The game room downstairs was a great way to pass the time and have fun when we had soaked up enough sun for the day. This was our first time visiting Lake Wateree, and we were pleasantly surprised by how large and quiet the lake was. Even on a Sunday, it never seemed overly crowded. Ross was a pleasure to deal with and provided all the necessary information for a great stay. We had high hopes for an amazing stay, but our expectations were exceeded. We will definitely be staying here again without a doubt.

Spring break!

We went to the lake house for spring break. The lake house is a beautiful house, but the inside of the home was extremely dusty and there was dead bugs everywhere! The couches had dog hair and dust on it. The window where very dirty. The beds downstairs in the basement had stains and dog hair on the beds. Which I noticed they probably turn the comforter over. I don’t know when was the last time this home had a deep cleaning! The beds upstairs were very dusty it was horrible. The master bed is very comfortable and the sheets was clean and the rugs was vacuumed. I washed our swim cloths from the beach due to having sand on it and when the cloths came out the washer it had so, much dog hair on it and smelled completely bad. I didn’t let the owner know simple reason there was nothing that can be done about the cleaning until we leave maybe they can hire someone too deep clean the house. I just wanted to enjoy the beach, because that was the main reason I booked this house. The statues in the house freaked me out completely, but I read her daughter does art work. The kitchen is beautiful I think they should invest in a new pot set and coffee maker. The kitchen has everything you need to cook. The basement is fully furnished and ready to enjoy and play games which we did. The fire pit we used it onces it was very nice. The private beach was definitely beautiful I loved everything about it.

Had an awesome time with our children, grandchildren and pets. The house is gorgeous and kitchen is well equipped. We enjoyed the beach area on the lake where the kids could swim. We had our boat and did some awesome tubing with the kids and boat rides in the evening. Highly recommend this home for a great family vacation.

Family Vacation

We came here for a family vacation and we loved every bit of it! We played every game there was to offer in the basement, caught fish every day, enjoyed floating on the giant float and kayaking around the coves. Picture perfect sunrises and sunsets and even got to enjoy a fire one evening despite the heat. Would come back any day or time to enjoy this place. Very thankful for the gracious hosts who, by the way, checked in during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed and even offered local knowledge/suggestions.

Wonderful Retreat!

Our family truly enjoyed staying at this beautiful location! The home was very spacious, and exceptionally clean! The house is very secluded, surrounded by a lot of timber. We loved the view of the lake, from the house and deck. We were pleased with all the amenities....well-stocked kitchen with utensils and cookware, comfortable beds, linens, stone fire pit near the lake, firewood, two kayacks, and easy dock access for boat or pontoon. We loved all the natural light from the windows in the Great Room! Also, we really enjoyed spending time on the screened-in porch. This was our 7th annual trip with our family. (6 adults and one child) Everyone agreed that this was one of the nicest homes we have stayed in! We appreciated everything about it!

A little slice of Heaven

We booked this amazing house for our yearly cousins trip & can’t say enough how much we loved it! From the booking process throughout our stay, Ross was always available & promptly replied to any questions / help we requested. Everyone had their own space to spread out & or congregate. The house is well stocked with everything you need from kitchen, game room, screened in porch, fire pit to your own private beach with umbrellas & kayaks. The boat dock accommodated both boats we brought with us & the Wateree Marina is only minutes away. Being remote allowed us to lay back & watch the falling stars, see otters bathing by the rocks, blue herons, fox, etc. Simply amazing! Can’t wait to go back! Wonderful Family Trip

We have rented tons of lake houses, and this has to be one of my favorites! The entire house was spotless, and plenty of room for my entire family to spread out. The washer/dryer was new and easy to work. The kitchen had everything you could need. The kids loved the ping pong table, shuffleboard, and darts. The sandy beach with the walkout shore was very nice. The floating matt was a huge hit with everyone. Thanks for sharing that with your guests! We caught tons of fish right off the dock every evening. Overall an A++

Beautiful Property

This home has everything you need for a great getaway. The beach area was excellent for family fun. The dock was perfect for a pontoon boat. The screened room allows you to watch television and feel like you are outdoors. The owner communicates very clearly and the guest binder in the house will answer 99% of your questions.

The house was great. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and made for an easy Thanksgiving stay. The games in the basement were great especially as rainy day activities. The lake and the property were beautiful. The house is even better than it photographs. Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful and Relaxing Getaway on Lake Wateree

We rented the property for a family anniversary celebration. It was perfect for 3 couples and one dog to enjoy the long weekend without ever having to leave the property! We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen was extremely well equipped for all our needs. The weather was wonderful so we were able to enjoy the fabulous fire pit morning, noon and night. Sunsets were the best! We enjoyed fishing off the dock and next time we'll try fishing with the kayak. Highly recommend this property, check in was a breeze, Ross was very responsive and we will definitely be back again. Thank you for a memorable family gathering!
