Great place to stay, very clean and orderly. We never met the house keeper, but cudos!The house has a heated gear room, where all the fishing stuff can be left before entering the house. Perfect place for a few days .

We extended our stay until the 18th , having a wonderful time here. This beautiful, home ( lodge)was impeccably clean and inviting!! Very comfortable, could not be more perfect. This definitely is our new place to stay. Very spacious, kitchen and bathrooms were spotless. Stocked with everything you’ll need to cook and eat. Can’t say enough about it!! The proximity to town is awesome!!

The Barclay family are life-long residents of New York State’s North Country, where they engage with the local community, supporting their hometown of Pulaski, NY, and the region. They are strong advocates of sound environmental practices in fisheries, farming, and natural resources management.
Why they chose this property
The Barclay family opened Douglaston Salmon Run in 1987 as a private-water sports-fishery. The property has been in the family since 1807, when it was settled by Colonel Rufus Price, an Aide-de-Camp to General George Washington during the Revolutionary War.

We are located on the World Famous Salmon River. Beautiful views and amazing fishing on our private 2.5 mile section of the river.
