property was clean, but no hot water and no shade on the terras
The appartment is located in a run down hotel so the exterior and entrance leaves a lot to be desired. The appartment itself has been renovated and is clean, but the large terras has no shade and as a consequence the hot midday sun shines into the appartment meaning it gets really hot inside and there is no aircon. We had no hot water for our entire stay (7 days) and this due to the fact that the hotel which supplies the hot water was fully booked and too many people were using hot water at the same time (morning and pre-dinner time). Bedrooms were large. Kitchen has no microwave, only an oven. The rest of the kitchen was well stocked.

HOT WATER:
At the day when you left the apartment my wife and I arrived. We also (like all the other owners of apartments AND guests of the hotel) had for two weeks no hot water, but now it works again. The property management told us that they waited for spare parts from the mainland. I am glad that friends of us could offer you another apartment in the neighborhood to have a shower with hot water.
SHADOW AT THE TERRACE: There are two big umbrellas and stands in the storage on the terrace. I did not put this on the letter of advice, thank you for this note.
AIR CONDITION:
Normally there are 22 - 27 degrees Celsius during the day and 16 - 20 in the night. So if the big curtains are closed during the day the apartment will not heat up. Also this note will help our guests. Three- to fourtimes a year the warm "CALIMA" comes from the Sahara and in this case the temperature will rise up to 35 degrees, than you can use the fan for refreshing.
MICROWAVE:
Regarding the microwave we decided not to buy one, because first we do not like food heated by the microwave and second we do not want to waste the space in the kitchen. There is a waterheater, a coffeemachine, an oven and a stove.
PROPERTY:
I know the grey of the whole property is not the taste of everyone, but according to my knowledge at the moment it can not be changed because it is a listed building. For further pictures of the property please look for ALBORADA at Las Galletas.
Las Galletas is an old village of fishers and the residents are canarians mainly. All the buildings, pavements and roads have a "canarian" style and are not compareable with the boulevards of Playa Las Americas.

Wir hatten alles was man brauchte.
