Two bedroom, two bath ocean view second floor condo. Good walking, windsurfing, kitesurfing beach fronts this oceanfront condo complex in North Kihei. A couple of minutes away from Kamaole Beach I, one of the great beaches on the sunny South shore. Air conditioning in living room and bedrooms. Condo has an queen size bed, two twin size beds, sofa sleeper + day bed, full kitchen and washer/dryer. Complimentary WIFI and parking!

Great place to stay and relax

Been here before and love the pace of life it provides. Any kind of beach is within 15 minutes. Or, just stay on the property and chill. Can’t wait to come back!

A beautiful property and an amazing location. This particular condo has not been renovated, could use some minor updating at least, but in general is still very good value. And the location can't be beat.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love Maui Sunset. Many of the units vary in quality and condition. My family and I have stayed in this same unit before and it is noticeably in need of maintenance and repair. It is good for low maintenance travelers, but some items have been neglected for too long. Loose faucets, vent fans hanging from the ceiling, kitchen cabinet doors sagging and not staying shut, etc. It really just needs some TLC to improve the user experience a bit.

Amazing View/Unit Need Lots of Work

We have stayed at Maui Sunset before and loved everything about it, so this particular unit was disappointing. The condo was spacious, but dark and outdated. The carpet, bedding, and towels were stained and mismatched, as was most of the kitchenware. Kitchen faucet not fully operational. The living room furniture was visually worn and uninviting. The best part of the unit was the lanai which has an amazing view. However, the air conditioner leaked all over the lanai and we never turned it below 72 as indicated on the instructions. The grounds were beautiful and offered great amenities, as always. We will come back to Maui Sunset but not to this unit.

I don’t know who owns this condo but you can’t get away cheap and expect people to pay for it. Pillows and towels have seen their better day and a constant sour stench in the condo. I bought an air freshener hoping it would help. Maybe our standards too high but I expected a little better upkeep. Ants constantly. Thank goodness my husband said to change the shower curtains - my gosh didnt anyone notice the wear and tear on the place ? On the upside the location was very nice and management responded accordingly. The view and grounds beautiful. The walk-in shower handle needs upgrading we were afraid to pull it from the wall. The bathtub faucet and hot cold valve needs to be replaced.

Aloha! I will bring this to the attention of the Owner's. They do try to do something each time they come out. We have the plumber out there now as I type. Yes, all the units are individually owned and some upgraded more than others. We will check the inventory! This unit is at a lower rate and people do love the view. Mahalo!

Aloha Vaughan, Yes, MS does the de-thatching yearly and the month rotates. It was unfortunate that it was in July when it's a very busy time. However that is what makes the lawn so perfect. The centipede is something we not normally have! I'm so sorry that occurred!

Aloha Kishi, Yes, sometimes being in the tropics those nasty critters come out. The property does do quarterly pest control, however I wished you would have called us and we would have send someone else out as well. We'll get it taken care of!

Also I was unable to use the shower as it high up and straight down on my head! Other than these complaints we had a great time at Maui Sunset. Very well stocked with dishes, towels, blankets, beach chairs, etc... Kids loved the pool. Everyone respected the quiet times. Location worked out great, seemed pretty central to everywhere we planned on going. My only issue was the elevator was stinky - not sure what it was.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pros: Great location in building and close to town. AC quickly cooled off unit during summer, separate AC in master was great! Enjoyed the sunset from the deck! Adequate kitchen supplies, drink blender powerful. Living room and lanai are spacious. Nice pool, grounds well maintained. Walk the beach at night with a flashlight and see small "ghost" crabs scurrying everywhere!Cons: Old, lumpy beds. Deck furniture needed cushions. Snorkling equip was old, not adequate. Unit last updated in the 90s?. Reef out front so don't expect large waves on beach. Realty Company we booked through did not inform front desk of our reservation, but a phone call took care of problem. Asked to check out 2 hours later and front desk kindly let us stay! They also collect uneaten food when you depart to give to the hungry! Mahalo.
