Built in 1900 this cottage retains much of it's original charm. This traditional home has both formal living and dining rooms. Furnished with one queen bed and one full-size bed, it is comfortable for four people. Off-street parking is available. Laundry facilities are in the basement. A separate studio apartment in the basement is not included. (inquire about availablity and rates for this separate studio apt).

Located in the Central Area of Seattle, this house is 10 minutes to Seattle's Capitol Hill, Madrona and Madison Park neighborhoods and Downtown Seattle. Public transportation is 1 block away which makes it convenient to all that Seattle has to offer. Property is walking distance to a cool corner coffee shop and two blocks from an excellent grocery store. The house was close to downtown and all the local attractions. The house itself was very comfortable and offered everything we needed for our stay.

Beautiful vintage home. Very neat, clean and comfortable. It's an easy walk to the Capitol Hill neighborhood and restaurants.

Great location

House was clean, well stocked, and comfortable for 4 adults. We had no issues so did not have to contact Cindy & Jose during stay. The driveway is no joke. We rented a truck due to other steep driveway reviews and sure glad we did- hope your backing skills are good as not enough room to turn around if longer truck - it all worked well for us. Bus stop at corner was convenient & were easy to navigate for us country folks. Neighborhood was safe and quiet. An overall great place to stay!

Great stay in Seattle

This cozy 2 bedroom house was quite spacious and comfortable. It has all the amenities of home and very convenient to all areas of Seattle. The parking was a PLUS. It was a great house that we would love to return to in the future.

Great home base for a fantastic trip

The property was exactly as described and served as a fantastic home base as we explored Seattle and the Cascades. We greatly enjoyed our time here. Other reviews are not joking about the driveway clearance. If you plan to visit and do need a car, opt for something that sits up high. We had no issues using transit and street parking in the neighborhood so no big deal. Will definitely be looking to stay here again if it is available next time I'm in town.

Wonderful Stay in Seattle

This is the second time I have stayed in this house. Cindy and Joae are terrific. The location is great, in walking distance to rhe metro we went everywhere. The neighborhood is safe and easy to navigate. The house is very homey and comfortable. Will definitely book again.

Very happy with our stay. The neighborhood was quiet. Easy to walk to from transit. The home was very comfortable; from beds, decor and kitchen supplies. Cindy and Josée were very helpful in responding to a couple of inquiries. Would definitely come back.

Very nice!

We had a very nice stay in the Victorian house and loved the neighborhood.The house is very well located (even without a car) with a lot of grocery stores around. Very well equipped as well, everything you need is there and we really appreciated it.I didn't give 5 stars for 2 reasons: One is you are in the airline traffic pathway so be it's been quite noisy late at night and very early in the morning. Some people won't mind (my teenagers) but it did bother me and my husband.The other one is we found the beds old and not comfortable. They need to be changed in my opinion.Other than that we recommend this place very strongly if you plan to stay in Seattle.

Great place to stay when in seattle

I was working in Seattle for a month and this place was perfect... cheeper than any hotels and it had tons of character. The house has a great old Seattle feel with cool old furniture and decor. The owners were great and easy to talk to. The bus system is a good way to get around town for cheep. I loved sitting on the back deck for my morning coffee. The only down sides were the tiny kitchen and bathroom, but otherwise there was plenty of room with everything you could possibly need.

Charming cottage and great location

The property was a little larger than I expected which was nice. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Lots of good stuff from previous guests left in the pantry. If we would've stayed longer I would've taken more advantage of the kitchen and the three grocery stores/co-ops within walking distance. The neighborhood is very nice. Restaurants, coffee shops, grocery all very close. It's called Capitol Hill for a reason so be ready to be going uphill and downhill if you want to walk anywhere. My wife and I had a lovely stay and our only regret is we didn't stay longer. Would definitely book this place again. Thank you Cindy & Jose!

It was easy to access lots to do in the downtown area. Very glad we had a parking spot on site. Evan thought it was kind of hard on the car going in and out of the driveway! We enjoyed the area including a picnic in the back yard. Thanks.

We had such a great trip and staying here made it that much more comfortable. The home is as described and very centrally located, we walked everywhere. The home was well stocked with everything we needed and then some. Cindy included lovely little local treats for us. We would definitely stay again.

Great location and clean. I loved the coffee shop on the corner. I am an early riser and went for a walk 2 mornings while my family was getting ready and I felt comfortable walking alone in this area.I would recommend this rental to friends with two cautionary remarks (NOT COMPLAINTS just things to be aware of).As stated in other reviews, the driveway is steep. Thankfully Enterprise gave us an SUV because I don't think the sedan I requested would have had enough clearance to make it up the drive, and street parking is tight. I never saw an open spot we could have used.Second, the washer and dryer is shared with the downstairs tenant and its requested not to be used during quiet hours. When we are on vacation we are out from sun up to sun down and usually wash and dry clothes over night (during quiet hours). This is probably not a big deal for most, so just something to be aware of if you are out all day.

Perfect home to explore downtown and waterfront. Very well furnished, kitchen has everything, excellent communication with owner, nice neighborhood. Within walking distance to grocery and several restaurants. If you are an avid walker, you can walk to Union Square, downtown and even to the waterfront, but walk back is a bit strenuous. Highly recommend this property.
