The Firehole Cabin 418 is spacious yet intimate. This cabin accommodates up to 18 with 6 bedrooms, 4 full baths, a large kitchen and dining area, two living areas, and a private laundry.
LARGE GROUPS & EXTENDED FAMILIES LOVE THE FIREHOLE CABIN 418!
Mature evergreen trees provide shade and privacy on the west side of the house. A deck leads up to the back entry and has a picnic table with gas barbecue for grilling some Montana steaks or the fresh trout you caught in one of the area streams.
Once inside on the main level, you find a large open-concept kitchen, dining, and living room. The fully-equipped kitchen has a stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave, 2 coffee makers, 2 crock pots, a toaster, basic grilling utensils, and a generous supply of dishes, silverware, cookware, pots and pans. Look for ground coffee and filters in the kitchen. The main dining table seats 10. Plus, there is additional seating for 4 at the kitchen counter. Four others can dine or play cards at the 2 small side tables. After traveling for a bit, the private laundry room just off the kitchen sure comes in handy.
After a full day of sightseeing in Yellowstone or snowmobiling the area trails, relax in your own private living rooms. Upstairs, gather in comfortable couches and chairs with seating for 7 by the fireplace. Watch a show on the flat screen TV with satellite and a DVD player while others play a game of chess at the game table. Downstairs, the teens can gather on a sofa at a separate flat screen satellite TV with DVD player.
Some guests can sleep just down the hall on the main level. One master bedroom with queen bed and full bath, a second bedroom with a queen bed, and a third bedroom with a king and full bed are all on this floor. Plus, there is one more full bath upstairs. The rest of the group can retire downstairs to 3 more bedrooms - one with a king and twin plus two with one queen bed each. Also, two more full bathrooms are downstairs. The TV area also sleeps 3 in a twin and full bed. All beds are fully made up with linens and you will find extra blankets and pillows too. All bathrooms have plenty of fluffy towels and toilet paper.

This will always be my first choice for lodging in West Yellowstone

My hiking group of seven women stayed in this home for one week in late September. It was terrific! Plenty of room for people to spread out and the home was designed to be quiet--those who got up early to start breakfast didn't wake those who slept in. The mattresses are great, kitchen is well equipped. We loved the large dining room table. I appreciated that each room had its separate wall heater for people who like different temperatures. Everyone loved the house.

Rented July 21-27 2019

Everything was great. The positives: - House is well stocked with cooking gear - The beds were clean and comfortable - Most everything was in working order - The cypher door locks made entry and exit super easy The negatives: - There is NO air conditioning. Hot days will be brutal in the house. This was not clear when renting the house. - Don’t be over 6 ft tall going downstairs or you’ll crack your head on the ceiling - If in the North-most bedroom, due to no A/C and windows left open at night, you be awakened at 5:30 am by the restaurant employees across the street.

Big beautiful house

We enjoyed our stay. The property is well suited for touring Yellowstone NP.

There were six adults and five children ages 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9. The six bedrooms and playroom with two single beds easily met our sleeping needs with rooms to spare. We especially appreciated the open kitchen with island and large dining table. We were able to prepare breakfasts, picnic lunches and suppers while family members talked and the children played around us. The kitchen is well-equipped with nice cooking and serving utensils (except for dulling knives). Rooms were clean and linens were well-chosen.

Nice place with lots of room

We spent 5 nights here with our family of 17. That included 10 adults and 7 kids. There was lots of room for spacing everyone out when needed and we had a good experience. The only thing the kids did miss, and we did too, is that when we would come home from a day at Yellowstone, the kids still wanted to play outside, and there was really no place to do that except in the parking lot. So, they played in the parking lot. :( There is no yard anywhere to speak of. Our kids are aged 12-4, so that might not be an issue for older preteens and teens.

Even has a melon ball tool -- no joke

We had a grand time at Firehole 418. We were busy in the Park most days, but the few meals we prepared at the cabin were easy to handle. There was quite a joke when we cut up a watermelon. All the kitchen tools were on hand, even a melon baller. IF you are used to the bare basics of a motel "suite" kitchen, you will be impressed with the supplies here. Our family had plenty of space. We liked the dining table for ten, plus the 2 small tables and the picnic table. Always room to sit down and visit. There is a deck/porch on the front and the back. It was great to have a dishwasher with soap, a washer/dryer with soap, and 2 coffee pots with coffee on hand. There are two refrigerators, so you can cool all your drinks. There are six bedrooms with a total of ten beds. We didn't need them all, but we enjoyed the space. Parking is right by the door, grocer and cafes are a few blocks. Only a half block from this cabin is a bakery. It has gluten-free bread if you need it. Also the old faithfull INN dining room had several choices for allergy. The three bedrooms on the lower level stayed cool. The three bedrooms on the main level had fans provided. Each morning -- we were there in July, the temp was about 47 degrees. So there is no A/C. The afternoons were up into the 80s, so the early evening was warm inside. We were happy to see big piles of towels. Having four bathrooms was good. The staff came by each day about noon to take away our trash. IT goes into the Bear-proof garbage trailer. All the trash cans in town have bear-proof lids. We didn't have any repair calls, or any problems with system functions. Another family member rented a small cabin in this group and it worked out well too.

Fantastic Family Vacation Home

The Firehole was my family's home during our July, 2017 visit to Yellowstone. The house is conveniently located in West Yellowstone. It is well furnished in a relaxed comfortable sort of way, perfect for a family vacation. The kitchen supplies were more than adequate for our family of 11. We cooked every day and there was plenty of room in the two refrigerators which held ample food and beverage supplies. There was a complete set of nice pots and pans, two or three complete sets of tableware, glasses, etc. We enjoyed the propane gas grill. The dishwasher was quiet so it was fine to run it and carry on conversations. The bathrooms were clean and contained a generous supply of towels and cloths. Beds were comfortable. My family would love to stay in the Firehole again if we visit Yellowstone.

Family Trip was AWESOME!

We took our whole family up to West Yellowstone and stayed in the FireHole cabin. It was beautiful, clean and convenient! We cooked dinner almost every night and all of kids had a blast! The dining table/area was great and fit ALL of us so we could enjoy each others company every night and morning. I would definitely recommend to anyone and do it again! Thank you

Perfect property

We had an incredible time in West Yellowstone. We use to own a lodge with cabins in island park. After moving it had been a challenge to get something big enough for our whole familily. The boys are all older now and we will have 3 more additions to our family soon. Plan on coming back year after year. It was perfect. Cannot say enough good about this property.

Love this cabin

We stayed in the Firehole cabin during the last week of February. We stay here or at another large cabin at the Faithful Street each year. A large group of us rent the cabin and go back country skiing. The kitchen is amply stocked with dishes, flatware and nice pots and pans. There are plenty of towels, a washer and dryer, and comfortable beds. The cabins are always clean and you can walk to coffee shops and restaurants. There is a large dining room table that seats everyone in the group, a couple of coffee pots and good wi fi and also a nice television. Really recommend this cabin and others and Faithful Street.

Beautiful cabin

My family lived the cabin. It was spacious, had everything we needed and the bedrooms were great. The main problem was the handicap accessibility. The handicap accessible bedroom was tiny and the wheelchair wasn't able to get through the door way very well. The handicap accessible bathroom was great with a nice roll in shower. The ramp was fine except for the threshold at the top and bottom of the ramp caused a deep lip. We had to lift the chair over both to get anywhere. We would stay there again especially the size accommodating our large family. We would not pick it for wheelchair accessibility!

Great stay in Yellowstone!

We rented the Firehole cabin for 4 nights in the middle of August. This property is very well located - within walking distance to the town of West Yellowstone which has many cute shops, grocery store, restaurants, coffee shops etc. The cabin was extremely clean, nice linens on beds and plenty of towels in the bathroom. We really appreciated the large kitchen and dining area with a huge table as we were a group of 13. The house can sleep 18 and we originally booked it for that reason but one family had to cancel at the last minute. We also enjoyed the large downstairs where the kids could hang out and the adults were comfortable upstairs chatting and watching TV. The west entrance to Yellowstone Park is a 5 minute drive away and we spent 3 full days exploring the park. I would definitely recommend this property and hope to come back one day.

Great launching pad to Yellowstone!

This was a great location- easy access to the park, convenient to be in town, all the comforts of home. We filled up the house- 18 people of all ages, babies to older folks- and never felt we were tripping over each other. Very large and comfortable. Thank you!

Can't wait to do it again!

Our second stay was every bit as perfect as our first, and we WILL be back. It's the perfect place for my large family, with plenty of room and facilities for everyone. Everything we need is furnished, and it's maintained beautifully. We would recommend it to anyone who wants lots of room, great facilities, and terrific location.

Our Family's Favorite Spot

We have stayed in several different cabins and we have never been disappointed. It is a great get away to the mountains in the summer or the winter. We love the snowmobiling. Our daughters and their families have come with us since their children were little. The youngest grandchild is now a freshman in high school. We love the space--plenty of bedrooms & bathrooms, great kitchen and 2 TV areas. It's a home away from home. Good restaurants nearby, great scenery and good people!

Twelve members (5 family groups) of our extended family stayed for a week in July, 2014, including an infant and a 5 year old. Bedroom arrangement provided privacy for each family. The kitchen and large dining area resulted in our decision to cook more in the house than we anticipated, which was a real advantage. There are two TV areas, which allowed people to spread out more. Within easy walking distance to West Yellowstone restaurants and shopping. Very private setting. Fairly quiet. Away from traffic. All was clean and in good working order. No hesitation in returning.
