The space
The Bach is petite in size but big in character. Funky decor, fully double glazed in the Bach, insulated in walls and a new heatpump/aircon. Is was important to us that the bach still has an authentic kiwiana bach feeling while having all the modern conveniences that we need these days. There is wifi and a smart TV meaning you can stay connected and work remotely as required.
Bedroom layout:
The Bach includes a Queen bed in the main bedroom, and a bunk bed in the second bedroom (double on the bottom and a single on the top). There is also a sleepout at the back of the garden which contains a double bed and heater. Please refer to the floor plan provided in the photos.
Fully fenced for children and dog (please ask first, (no cats allowed) and the outside entertaining area and garden is very private and a great place to work or unwind.
Kids? Foxton Beach school and playground is right next door. There is a porter cot, high chair and even a pram in the garage. There are also some bikes for the kids and beach toys and beach towels.
Guest access
Guests enjoy use of the whole property (minus the Caravan) which is currently being renovated.

About the host
Hosted by John Carpenter
We are John and Jane, your gracious hosts. We have been married for 12 years and have two kids aged 7 & 4. We love the beach life and the outdoors. We love traveling and would like to do more over time as the kids grow up.
Why they chose this property
We purchased the property as John needs a project and loves building and landscaping, and we wanted to give our children similar experiences that we both had has children... spending long holidays at the beach (albeit in the Coromandel). We both love surfing and socializing, and the property has really become a reflection of that over time. Foccy is not the best surf spot but there is always something for the kids and it is easy striking distance of Wellington City. We are constantly making improvements to the property and we have returning guests (through other platforms) that return time and time again and treat it as there own. It gives us a great deal of satisfaction to share this space with guests and know that other people are creating memories here too.
