This is the best of both worlds. Great quiet area with amazing amenities and yet close to everything you can imagine. The downtown Muni is just around the corner, 15-20 minutes to most of the tourist attractions: Union Square, Golden Gate Park, Golden Gate Bridge, Ocean Beach, Japanese Tea Garden, and much more. One of the best restaurants is 1-5 blocks away. Huge Super Market is three blocks away, banks, bars, public buses all within a short, walking distance.

We stayed for 3 nights and it was great. Close to lots of great restaurants, and the place came with everytbing we needed. The parking spot in the driveway was an added bonus. I saw another review mention the walkway being dark; however, there are two sets of motion detector lights. The neighborhood is also super safe, so we never felt like someone could be waiting down it.

Located in a quiet neighborhood, the Muni stop is a block away (the rumble of the tram is easily ignored even for those of us who are sensitive to noise). The apartment is furnished nicel, the beds are super comfortable, and the kitchen is well equipped. Easy check-in and friendly but not intrusive hosts. Dedicated off-street parking for one vehicle in front of the house was a huge bonus. One minor downside was no blackout curtain in the bedroom (since the backyard neighbors seem to like to keep their bright party lights on most of the night, at least they were not partying!). The neighbors were all very quiet (ok, except for Mr. Rooster during the day). We were visiting from Oregon for my son's surgery at UCSF Neurology Center and this apartment gave us a comfortable and quiet place for him to recover for a week after the procedure. We enjoyed our stay.

Great place to stay while in San Francisco

My granddaughter and I stayed her for a couple nights while visiting San Francisco. We felt safe while here and the location is two blocks away from public transportation. Boris was very accommodating when we arrived early and rested in the courtyard while the cleaner was finishing. Highly recommend this accommodation.

An easy, restful base to work from

Had a quick technical job in the city with an old client, and needed a simple, easy place to put my head at the end of each day, shower, etc. - and this was an excellent option. Great coffee and food within a block, and a friendly, mellow neighborhood.

Parkside was a great choice for us!

Parkside met all our needs. It was clean, had a sufficient kitchen for our breakfasts, and generally was just right for us! (I do wish the pillows had been softer and had longer pillowcases.) Seamless check in, easy to access, well-located.
