Great gulf front view condo

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location of this unit is perfect. you walk right down the stairs to the pool or walk right out to the beach. Unit was clean and had almost everything we needed. There were some beach toys in the closet to use. We could’ve used a pizza pan but that’s minor. There were some plumbing issues and we had to call maintenance but management was great working with us, I love the top deck on house of sun to watch the sunset. I also like that there are beach chairs and a beach attendant to put up an umbrella. Very close to restaurants and shops, and just a short drive down to the village for more shopping and restaurants but there are more crowds at the village so it’s nice to be on this end of the key. It is less crowded. We will stay here again.

Thanksgiving with Family

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our 9 days at House of Sun. The facility is well maintained as was the beach. The new policy with only 2 beach chairs per unit was concerning as we paid for 6 persons in the unit. We adjusted by renting chairs and umbrella, but probably would not have if we were allotted 6 chairs. We have been staying in this unit for a few years and really enjoy the location and view. Construction noise at the nearby new Condo was present, but not objectionable when at the pool or beach. Furniture and bedroom carpet are due for an update. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and look forward to next year.

Staff was helpful when needed. The number of pop up tents in front of the property, especially on the weekend, makes it difficult to find a spot on the beach a little later in the day. Except for the red tide, we had a nice, relaxing stay.

Almost perfect.

Lovely condo (a cabinet for food would have been useful) Gorgeous beach. Perfect location. Only issue was turf wars on the beach. People would set up camp with pop up tents lining the front of the beach very early in the morning. I witnessed people moving others chairs to accommodate beach front space. It made for an unpleasant and tense beach experience at times. Pop up tents created very cramped and limited space for umbrellas and chairs. The neighboring condo did not allow pop ups. Perhaps this is an option for the future or create a designated area for them.

House of the Sun Review Unit 215GF

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was by far the worst stay I've ever had in my 15 years at HOS. The unit was dirty when we go there-none of the tvs in the bedrooms worked at all, the living room tv didn't have HD. Also, the entire 2nd floor would smell like marijuana most of the day, but I couldn't tell where it was coming from to call the front desk. There were some very rowdy guests have pool parties very late at night, shooting off fireworks, cursing in the pool-very gross behavior. I normally come in April and May, so this is not the norm. My family and I were very disappointed in the condition of the room and the experience as a whole.
