About this property
Romantic, pet friendly lakefront cabin!
Ellie’s Lake house has a unique location surrounded by 270 degrees of water on one of the cleanest fresh water lakes in the Pacific Northwest. The carefully thought out architecture of the cabin provides you with a beautiful view of the water out of any window you chose. Your lakeside deck provides the perfect spot to watch the sunrise with a cup of coffee or stargaze at night with the beverage of your choice. There are plenty of activities to choose from. You can go for a swim, take the canoe, kayaks, pedal boat, or SUP boards out (all supplied) for a little jaunt around the lake. If your lucky you may get to see the pair of eagles hunting or playing on the water. On land you may want to take the two beach cruisers out for a ride through the friendly neighborhood, or go for a walk. If you have your boaters license, bring your own motor boat and water ski, wake board or tube! If you fish, don't forget to bring your fishing pole because Lost Lake is considered to be one of the best bass and trout-fishing lakes in western Washington. With a 30 foot shelf only 25 feet off the bulkhead, Ellie's Lake house is the best spot on the lake to fish 365 days a year! If your trout has a blue tag attached to it's fin it is a winning derby fish!!! You win a PRIZE! You can relax on the cozy furniture and read a book, play a board game or construct a puzzle. There is a fire pit to roast marshmallows and commune around as well as a private hot tub to enjoy anytime of day.
If you're in the mood to explore, there are plenty of fun things to check out close by! The historic city of Shelton only 20 minutes away. The quaint little salt water towns of Hoodsport or Union are just up hyway 101 with winery's, dining, and gift shops that make for a fun little day trip. The Skyline drive in is close by for an old fashioned drive in movie during the summer months! The Little Creek Casino is a 25 minute drive with all the casino fun you may desire along with an 18 hole championship golf course at the Salish Cliffs Golf Club. Ocean Shores is an hour and twenty minute drive to the west. If you enjoy hiking there are some amazing hikes within a short drive as well. If you're visiting in the month of December make sure to check out CHRISTMASTOWN USA for some small town Christmas cheer! There is plenty to do and see but good luck wanting to leave the magic of Ellie’s once you arrive. 😉 This cabin truly is a lakeside oasis where good times are had and memories are made.

Thanks again for returning to Ellie’s lake house for your special get away! You are always a pleasure to host!
We had an amazing anniversary weekend. Lisa thought of everything, from dog treats for our pups to kayaks to tour the lake to anniversary wine. It was great!
The host had great hospitality along with amazing communication. She helped make our anniversary one to remember. The house was filled with flower bouquets, chocolate and rose pedals on the bed, and we took a relaxing sunset ride on the pontoon boat where we got to interact with the hosts husband making for a fun and friendly experience. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The perfect lake house with a cozy cabin feel. 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing couples getaway.

You two were such a pleasure to host! I hope you make Ellie’s Lake House a tradition so we get to see you again! I hope you had a happy anniversary!
The place was really nice, exactly as it looks in the photos. We were on the water on the deck and in the hot tub. The decor inside is well done and the bedroom perfect. Couldnt have asked for more.
Had a great time here. Super cute house and great location. We caught 8 fish off the dock in just one morning. They liked the fake worms. Catch & release. Recommend staying here for a relaxing getaway.
Cute place! I don't know who had a better time, us fishing and relaxing or the dog with all his complementary goodies Lisa even had a Birthday cake waiting for us! The lake is awesome and would highly recommend booking here.
The house was bright and inviting. My reason for the 4 star review for cleanliness of the property is because the outside furniture looked dirty and the table was sticky but the view was amazing.
Lisa is such a thoughtful host and this place was just what we were looking for: a quiet and peaceful getaway that wasn't too far away from the city. The location was spectacular and the amenities really let you enjoy the lake.

About the host
Hosted by Lisa O'Gorman
My name is Lisa and my partner's name is Shawn. We met later in life and fell in love. We have both been married previously.... we were actually both married to other people on the same exact day!! Crazy! We love to hike, ride motorcycles, dirt bikes, camp, boat, SUP board, and pretty much anything on the water or outdoors. All our children are all grown so we wanted to find a place to call our own. Ellie's lake house was it!
Why they chose this property
We have always loved and admired Ellie's lake house from afar. When a friend informed us that it might be coming on the market, we jumped at the opportunity to purchase it! It is the perfect spot for us because it has everything we love to do close by! Ellie's Lake house is in the middle of it all! This place is truly magical for us! We hope you will love it as much as we do!
BTW.... Ellie was our very sweet black Labrador retriever!
What makes this property unique
If you are an outdoor type of person, Ellie's Lake House is the perfect spot! Located directly on Lost lake, in a friendly quaint, and quiet neighborhood with lots of water outdoor activities nearby. Of course if all you want to do is relax, the cabin is perfect for that too! We are just far enough away from everything to feel like we are on vacation, but close enough that if we need something we can make a quick run to town.
One of my favorite things about the cabin is that when you lay in bed on a clear night you can see the stars through the upper windows and when it rains you can hear it tapping on the sky lights. It's like camping in your luxurious bedroom!
