Person-to-person contact is minimized with an electronic keypad for access. The home is cleaned and disinfected according to CDC guidelines .

***We are not a pet friendly property. There are no exceptions to this policy. No extra/unbooked guests or visitors allowed. We are NOT a party house. We live in a residential neighborhood and strive to maintain excellent neighbor relations. Violation of these house rules results in forfeiture of deposit and may result in extra charges. There are other homes in our area that accommodate more than 10 people***

Private beach access is less than 200 feet from Salt Aire's back door!

Salt Aire's main floor has 3 large bedrooms (two with queen beds, another with king bed), main floor 3/4 bath (no tub) and ensuite with shower/tub combo in the king room. Two bedrooms face east to give you fabulous sunrises while the third bedroom has a partial ocean view. The king bedroom also has an east-facing deck and laundry room.

A spacious family/living room with a wood stove will keep you cozy on cool nights. Tall windows provide lots of natural light and ocean views. A 50" Smart TV with blu-ray player and a great selection of DVDs will make you feel at home.

Off the family room is a large kitchen with granite counters and stainless appliances. The cupboards are well-stocked with serve- and bakeware. Other items of note are a drip coffeemaker, Keurig, waffle maker, slow cooker, pizza pan, roasting oven (counter-top), and Brita water filtration. A large kitchen table with two stored leaves for easy expansion has 6 chairs and a dining bench to provide ample seating to watch the waves roll in. There are also two stools at the the counter. Off the kitchen is a large deck with picnic table, outdoor seating and a grill (bring your own charcoal!).

The staircases at the front door will take you up to the master or down to the basement. The basement is about 900 square feet with a 5th bedroom (queen bed) and a 3/4 bathroom (no tub). There is also a second family room with TV and laundry for your convenience.

The master suite is amazing providing over 700 sq ft of space with a king size bed and sitting area. Large windows and a vaulted ceiling provide tons of natural light and stunning views of the mighty Pacific Ocean where you can watch the waves crash on the beach. Access to the upper deck is off the sitting area and on a clear day you can see Ocean Shores due north. The ensuite has double sinks, a shower, and a Jacuzzi bathtub for the ultimate in relaxation.

Salt Aire has Wi-Fi for your convenience. A local phone line is provided as well. We've stocked the house with books, movies and games as well as a pack and play and highchair for our youngest of guests. There are two hair dryers as well (one on the main floor, one in the master). Use of the garages is not included in the rental. The home is not handicap accessible, but once up the initial flight of stairs into the home all living can be done on the main floor.

Dave and Jen are two Canucks that met in College and moved out to the Seattle area in 2005. We have two children that are avid explorers and love going to their "beach house."

Why they chose this property

We rented a few places owned by friends in Westport and Grayland and fell in love with the laid-back coastal life. Such trips were relatively stress-free in that no air travel was involved, our drive was short , and best of all...no overstimulation for the kids! People are so friendly and helpful and there is a real sense of community. Salt Aire Shores is in a residential neighborhood where people wave as you drive by and stop to chat. We fell in love with this home the first time we saw it and knew after talking about buying a 2nd home for several years that we were actually going to take the plunge as this property was perfect for our family. We are happy to share it with others as we cannot be there all the time and hope it becomes your home away from home.

What makes this property unique

We love the size of this home...it's big yet comfortable. We love relaxing in the family room at night with a fire in the wood stove and a movie going or playing a game/making a puzzle at the kitchen table. The views are fabulous and it's so fun to watch the storms roll in yet still know there might be a chance at a lovely sunset on a stormy day. Every room has a view whether it be east for sunrises in the front two bedrooms, or a partial oceanview in the other main floor bedroom. The master suite is amazing and very spacious (over 700sq ft) with vaulted ceilings, large windows provide 180 degree views. A nice sized sitting area with couch and chairs provides access to the upper deck (one of three!).
