Two bedroom cottage has a queen bed in each bedroom and a futon sleeper in the living room. Tastefully furnished in lodge log decor with a free standing gas fireplace stove in the living room. Full bathroom with shower only. Through the wall air conditioning, cable TV, and wifi for your comfort and relaxation. All bedding, linens, and towels are provided. The full size kitchen comes with a stove/range, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster. It is equipped for basic cooking and eating. Outside on the patio is a gas grill, picnic table, and patio chairs for your evening bar-b-q. The cottages set in a park like setting with mature trees, and lots of lush lawn. Just a short walk to the paved bike path or to the lake for some recreation.

Located by beautiful Canyon Lake in Rapid City just thirty minutes from Mt Rushmore. Easy access to all Black Hills area attractions. Most attractions including Mt Rushmore are 30 minutes or less.

Bring your bikes, walking shoes, or roller blades and enjoy the great paved bike trail that goes for miles along Rapid Creek. Trout fishing in both the Creek and the lake. Paddle boats are available for rent to mingle with the ducks and geese on the lake. Playgrounds for the kids and best of all, mosquitoes are not a problem. Bike rentals to enjoy the miles of paved bike paths around the lake and along the creek.

We loved staying here. It was very clean with new carpet. Basic utensils and grill with grilling tools. The beds were soft and comfortable. We arrived late and I just called ahead to check in. There was a playground that was very close and accessible which my 3 year old loved. Many walking trails along the lake. You could also rent bikes, which we didn’t do this time. In an adjacent parking lot there was an ice cream truck which we enjoyed. It was about 1-1 1/2 hours away from Badlands, 30 min- 1 hour from Custer State Park, and 30 minutes from Mount Rushmore. Storybook Island park was about 15 minutes away. Altogether a wonderful stay and we would certainly do it again!

The cabin was the perfect cozy place to come home to after braving the crazy prairie winds and SD cold! It was clean, very well maintained, and nicely arranged to support a family stay. We watched deer and other wildlife in the campground in the mornings, and it was just a short walk to the playground and Canyon Lake. Highly recommend!

We have owned and operated Lake Park Campground and Cottages since 1991.
Since we have lived on the property for the last 28 years, we can say that it is the ideal location to experience the wide variety that the Black Hills area has to offer. All the conveniences of the City with a country feel. Plenty of other units if you are traveling with friends.
