Family Friendly Cabin In The Woods, Hunting, ATV/Snowmobile, Fishing & Much More

3 Bedroom/2 Bath cabin surrounded by pines and fully furnished with washer/dryer/dishwasher/microwave/Flat sceen TV w/DIsh, etc. Leave right from the cabin on your ATVs & Snowmobiles as the trails are right out the drive. Come back and store your machines in the garage and have a camp fire in the fire pit or relax on one of the decks. Go hunting on the 1,000's of acres of open land in the area (walk or ride close) or fish Petenwell / Castle Rock or the many lakes within a few miles. Golf at Lake Arrowhead, The Sands, or the many other courses in the area. Wisconsin Dells is only 45 minutes away as well for waterpark, amusement, or other entertainment.

NOTE: Due to new county licensing/permit fees we will only be renting for over 29 days starting now (July 2020). Unfortunately with VRBO Fees, WI State Lodging Taxes, Adams County Licensing/Permits, Income taxes, etc it's not longer cost effective to rent for shorter periods. The County fees don't apply for over 29 day stays so that's fine We will update hopefully by next year when the requirement may be changed. Sorry for any inconvenience!

Relaxing Place

We have been staying in this area for the last 10 years. This was by far the best of them all. Jeff & Jane are very gracious host they make sure you have a comfortable stay. We truly can say there is nothing negative about this place. AWESOME STAY definitely will go back !!!!!

Right size, but some issues.

First let me say Jeff and Jane were responsive and quick to communicate. Now about the property. The location of the property is pretty remote, of which we were well aware going in. That was not a problem for us, being familiar with the area, having lived about 20 miles away before moving across country. Be aware that the nearest store with groceries and gasoline is about 9+ miles away, but sells pretty much anything you’ll need This is not a “cabin,” but is an older mobile home. As described, it has two real nice decks. There is also a nice size yard that our dog and grandkids enjoyed playing in. There is a gas grill, but it ran out of propane after two or three short uses. There are separate containers for trash and recyclables. When I asked about garbage collection, I was told that the landfill was about a mile away, so I assumed that I had to haul my own garbage to the dump, which I did. That was a bit inconvenient. The inside of the unit was a perfect size for our use - three bedrooms and two bathrooms. We had a number of issues with cleaning details that were overlooked; a lot of cob webs in the main living room lamp, used bar of soap in the master bathroom shower, empty or nearly empty hand soap dispensers, used q-tips in a bedroom waste basket, and mouse remnants in a kitchen drawer and in some low shelf cooking utensils. The mouse issue ultimately led us to leave several days prior to our reserved departure date (with no refund for those days). We bought and set traps every night and trapped 13 during our stay. This was upsetting since we had our young grandkids stay with us several days and they tended to play on the floor. Finally, the unit does not have WiFi. Being a mobile home, we were wrapped in metal and had to go outside to use our phones and tablets. I recommended to the owner to consider installing WiFi because it is a necessity, not a luxury. I also recommended he have his professional cleaner pay more attention to small details that guests notice immediately. I hope he does for future guests.

Good base to explore Wisconsin outdoor adventures

Comfortable cabin for a quiet get-away. The property location is a nice compromise between countryside and close proximity to lakes & horseback trails. It's not completely remote, and there are neighbor's homes across the woods, but it was a peaceful place to relax and rest between outings. Jeff and Jane were very warm and welcoming hosts, and very responsive with messages. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils, pans, mixing bowls, plates etc., and there is a full sized washer & dryer. Comfy main room with satellite cable. No internet, but a good LTE cell signal for streaming if you need it. Parks and restaurants are 10-20 minutes away. Highly recommend Pritzl's Trading Post on Hwy 13, about 15 minutes away for groceries, gas, bakery, fishing gear & bait, and JB Country Restaurant on State Rd 21 (fantastic home cooked breakfast & lunch). Would definitely stay again.

Awesome time with family

We had an excellent experience staying at the cabin on Memorial day weekend 2016. We stayed for a family reunion and could not ask for more from the owner. Jeff was really accommodating and responsive to all our requests and did everything to make sure our stay was comfortable. The cabin itself is clean and had everything you would need. Location is peaceful and quite in the woods, and grocery shopping is only a 10 minute drive. We took walks in early morning and spotted a deer or two everyday. There are two decks and one is completely covered, so we could enjoy grilling and eating out even when it was raining. The concrete firepit is a bonus and is very well maintained and clean. Jeff also provided more than enough firewood for our stay. We also made a couple of day trips to Wis Dells which is only 45 min drive... Highly recommended...
