At one end is a popular brew pub, and the other end is Signature Theatre, a big favorite for local lovers of plays and musicals.

So just Walk steps outside of your unit door and Our Community is surrounded with Harris teeter(Grocery Store), A movie Theater, Bank of America, Restaurants( Indian, Cafes,

There is a king size bed in one bedroom. The Master has closet and bathroom suite. A queen size bed in one bedroom with a walk in closet with built in storage. There is also a queen size air mattress. There is also a crib/play pen for infants.

The unit comes with everything you would need in a home, soaps, shampoos, body washes, towels, pots, pans, utensils, glasses, etc. Clean spot with 3 tv's mounted. Cable in the living room and fire sticks for tons of movies in each bedroom room. A large dining table that will fit 6 comfortably. The space is an open layout from kitchen, to dining, to living room space.

*No steps to enter and no stairs to climb(but there is a small step down from dining room to living room area)*

I have stayed in several properties around the world and this one was the first one we had issues, The first full day we returned from sightseeing and there was a notice on the door that the day after we leave the person was going to be evicted. She had told us that we weren't supposed to speak with anyone in the complex, like she did not want them to know we were there. We do not think she was renting to us was in her lease. Here is a list of other issues: Cabinets had food items left by former tenants Bath rooms had used toiletries in the bathtubs Sliding glass door was filthy with finger prints Light bulbs burned out in the bathroom Stove one burner did not work light on the stove did not work, burner pans were nasty dirty There was not info how to get the tv to work using Fire TV or a password to get into NetFlix or Prime if we had accounts, no local channels in the bedrooms. If this had been our first experience with VRBO then we would not use it again but we have had good experience in Rome, Greece, Nova Scotia, Hawaii. so we will use it again.

The letter wasn't addressed to me. It was addressed to someone else in the community. I showed you proof that this letter was placed on the wrong door and apologized. I showed a letter from the office showing a zero balance and proof that it was mistakenly placed there. Yes, there are sealed unopened breakfast items. Salt, pepper, seasonings, coffee, sugars, creamers, left in the cabinet. I have this there intentionally. Yes, I supply all bathrooms with shampoos, body wash, and soaps. They are all store purchased bottles fully stocked. They are placed there intentionally for the guest. I try to keep the unit fully stocked so that guest don’t have to go out and buy forgotten items. Nothing is left in unit from previous guest. I purchase and stock those items. Every remote in the unit has instructions on the back of them and labeled for each room it belongs to. This helps with those unfamiliar with fire sticks. Netflix, Hulu, starz, cable, hbo all free to guest. I make sure they are all logged in before arrival. If it was accidentally logged out, I would have had no problem assisting with that had I known. There was cable in the living room and fire sticks in each bedroom with all actively working subscriptions. There was a report that the microwave stove light wasn’t working. I came and the light was on. A reported bulb burned out, I came and switched it out. Light bulbs do burn out. It just so happened that it did once you were staying. But I came to replace. We never had a conversation about speaking to anyone in the neighborhood. The instructions speak of respecting the neighbors and noise ordinance. I apologize that you didn’t have a pleasant experience. The light burning out, was handled due to me being informed, I was informed of the eviction letter on the door, I contacted the office immediately and showed you all within 5 minutes that it was mistakenly placed on the wrong door. You even stated how it had the wrong name on it. I was never contacted concerning the fire stick. So, I wasn’t able to assist with this. Thank you again. Have a pleasant day.

The owner’s definition of “lavish” was different than ours.

We are frequent VRBO renters returning often to the places we’ve rented. We were looking for proximity to our new grandchild and the ability to cook Christmas dinner. Given the description and photos, this place seemed to meet our requirements. The apartment feels like a college student’s apartment; obviously decorated by mom, but maintained by someone who doesn’t really care. Upon arrival we saw the doorknob missing from one folding door and the other door of the laundry area off its track. It was requested that we remove our shoes upon entering, however the linoleum was sticky and the carpet quite soiled in places. The kitchen was not well equipped with poorly maintained and mismatched dishes and utensils. The one kitchen towel was full of holes. We were not able to adequately cook a Christmas meal in the kitchen. When we needed to use the washing machine, we discovered a comforter in the washer and a knotted mass of sheets and towels in the dryer that were still damp. The trash can in the kitchen was broken and the trash cans in the bathrooms were rusted. In the communication with the owner we were told to turn off the gas fireplace, which there was none, and to not speak to anyone that we were in a VRBO, making us uncomfortable staying there. We will not return to this location and would not recommend it to others.

I always send an email throughout each guest stay for feedback prior to departure. It’s mainly to check in to see how things are going. To see if there is anything missing or needed. I’ve looked back over our messages. You emailed stating that everything was well with the unit and your arrival. I wouldn’t have known you weren’t happy from your email. I would have made myself available to address any concerns had I known. I regret that you didn’t enjoy your stay. I seek to satisfy each and every guest that enters. Please for future bookings with any host, please communicate with the them. I believe We all strive to have each guest happy! If you aren’t, we would like to be notified to resolve it. Shirlington Village Apartment

The apartment was very nice and conveniently located next to dining, grocery, and pharmacies. Everything was within walking distance. The apartment was very clean and well decorated. Devon graciously provides coffee for guest. This is a huge convenience as most are not able to go shopping the day/night they arrive. The owner also provides a pack-n-play for little travelers, not having to bring this was incredible. For travelers vacationing in the Arlington/D.C. area this is a very quiet and well maintained apartment. Devon is very tentative and hospitable. Note, traffic can be a little difficult to manage if you are not from a city this size; leaving later in the morning (10 AM) makes a huge difference than 7-9 AM.

Great location. Clean. As described. For first timers here the parking garage is alittle confusing to understand, but once you read the clear written instructions you "get it" and understand the on sight parking garage rules. Condo is great. Us and another couple went to DC to be part of the March for Life as well as do some touring, and it was perfect place for us to stay. We will stay here again! Thanks!!

We enjoyed our stay and would stay again. However, if arriving with more than than 1 vehicle, parking can be quite the challenge. Only 1 parking FOB and pass provided. Otherwise this place was convenient for our needs.

Fabulous location, very comfortable

We have rented several times in the DC area. This spot is sooo great. The neighborhood is super convenient— grocery store, coffee shop, movie theater and live theater, and 9 restaurants all within close walking distance. Metro bus stop is across the street for transport into DC. The unit is very nice and clean. Bright and cheerful colors. We never heard any noise from the neighbors. The small kitchen is complete and bedrooms and baths are large. The beds are comfy and I’m picky about beds. Good water pressure in the shower. We had a hiccup with the Wifi but the owner quickly fixed it remotely. She was very responsive and even met us at 1am when our plane arrived late! Parking was secure and we seemed to find a place close to the elevator every day. We didn’t use the patio, but it would be nice in warm weather. We hope to stay there again!

Great, safe area to stay if you want to tour DC. We parked our car in the garage and never used it for a week. The apartment was spacious and clean, beds were comfortable, strong water pressure, washer/dryer in the unit. Devon , the property owner, was thorough with instructions. Pay attention to the pictures and directions sent to you! Many restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommend Guapos and Cafe Pizzaiolo. Harris Teeter grocery store makes delicious sub sandwiches. The bus station is across the street and you use it to head to DC. There is a worker there that will help you. You load a card with money and use it for both the bus and the metro (subway). Get a metro map that shows the different colored lines and routes. Take bus to Pentagon, then you go underground to the metro. Costs about eight dollars a day. To a “T”, there was not a rude worker on the bus or metro system. If you want to go see DC, or just hang around the village of Shirlington, you can’t go wrong with Devon’s place!

We are old and this is the first time we ever booked with VRBO. We don't use apps. Our only complaint is with the VRBO process. We would have like to be able to get the address info a bit earlier so we could get our trip routed. We loved the ability to walk less than 5 minutes to a ton of shops and restaurants. Be prepared it is an apartment there will be noise. Also the bus stop directly across the street was great for getting into town.

Convenient and clean!

My husband and I enjoyed our two night stay. We received pictures as well as written directions to find our way into the complex. This made it much easier to find the condo as well as where to park. The location is convenient, spacious and clean. Devon was very responsive to our communication.
